Hey guys! I'll be using this page for the list of Skills in the game of Lillium!
If you think of any, send them to me in a private conversation and we'll discuss adding them to the RP. But do not post in this thread at any time please.
This list will be constantly updated as time goes on. Hopefully, with your help, it will become all inclusive.
Thank you!
All Skills, whether Player, Weapon, or Ultimate, must be unlocked by the use of a single Stat Point. Stat Points can be saved during the Level Up process for this purpose.
Player Support Skills
* Acrobatics - Increases physical capabilities such as jumping height and the ability to perform acrobatic feats in combat. The base level of Acrobatics at Level 1 is the player's natural physical acrobatic capabilities and jumping height.
* Creature Taming - This Skill can only be unlocked by speaking to a very special NPC who only ever appears during a certain even (on any Floor) which is a 1,000,000:1 shot. If the event is witnessed and participated in, ending in success, the NPC will approach the player and ask them to use the Skill to return one of their beloved companions who ran away during the event. Once the player succeeds and returns the creature in question, they will officially unlock the Skill for themselves.
(Creature Taming never guarantees a success. Even at Level 1000, there will always be a rate of failure no matter the creature you're trying to tame. Even a simple small bird will still have a small chance of not being tamed when the player makes their attempt. The larger and more dangerous the creature, the greater the rate of failure.)
* Carpentry - Allows the player to make and create works of art with wooden materials, or design and build houses. One could make a handsome living creating homes and selling them to other players.
* Equipment Appraisal - Upon unlocking it, the player attains the ability to examine equipment and determine whether it was made by a player, bought at an NPC store, found in a Dungeon Chest, or attained as an item drop. Upon reaching Level 500, the player can see all of the weapon's stats and attributes.
* Equipment Repair - The higher the Skill Level, the more effective the player is at repairing damaged equipment such as weapons and armor.
* Extended Weight Limit - Allows the player to carry more weight which in turn allows for a larger inventory limit. Every 100 Levels allows the player to carry 20 more items.
* Hiding - Allows the player to disappear, but it only works on targets which use visual tracking such as other players, human NPC's, or monsters without a strong enough sense of smell or hearing. The higher the level, the more difficult it is to b detected.
* Armor Forging - Allows the player to perform all the tasks of a blacksmith relating to armor forging. The higher the level, the stronger the armor the player can forge.
* Weapon Forging - Allows the player to perform all the tasks of a blacksmith relating to weapon crafting. The higher the level, the stronger the weapons the player can forge.
* Cooking - Allows the player to gather and use ingredients from all the Floors of Lillium to cook delicious food with a variety of effects ranging from HP restoration, applying minor and major buffs to stats and attributes, increasing EXP gains for Weapon Skills, Support Skills, or even the player themselves, etc.
* Musicality - The player can pick and choose one musical instrument of their choice upon unlocking the Skill to learn first. At every 100 Levels, they unlock the ability to use another instrument.
* Lockpicking - Allows the player to pick Chest Locks in Dungeons. At higher levels, the player unlocks the ability to pick the locks of NPC houses, and even player owned houses and Home Chests at Level 1000.
* Purchase Negotiation - The player can negotiate for better prices. 5% reduction in NPC shop keeping costs every 100 Levels. At Level 1000, the player can negotiate with NPC shopkeepers to reduce prices by up to 50%.
* Searching - A Skill to counteract the Hiding Skill used by players and NPC's alike. The higher the Level, the more easily detected anyone trying to hide is.
* Sales Negotiation - If a player takes up residence as a local businessman or businesswoman, they can negotiate for higher prices to earn more money from sales.
* Sprint - Once unlocked, it allows the player to Sprint anywhere including inside of buildings, or even within the confines of Dungeons and Labyrinths. Sprinting uses 5 points of Stamina every 3 seconds. At higher levels, the Stamina bar reduces at a lower rate. At Level 1000, Sprinting uses 1 point of Stamina every 10 seconds.
* Trapping - Allows the player to set traps in the field or in Dungeons. The higher the level, the more complex the traps can be and the more successful they will be.
* Trap Dismantling - Allows the player to dismantle traps of any kind. The higher the level, the more complex the traps they can successfully dismantle.
* Woodworking - Allows the player to forge weapons made of wood such as the Bo Staff or the Bow and Arrow. The higher the Skill, the stronger the weapons can be.
* Metalworking - Allows the player to forge items made of metal such as tools, metal furniture, or other materials useful in everyday life. The player can even create a safe, which does not have a lock and therefore cannot be picked. It is the only way to fully prevent theft by other players with a maxed out Lockpicking Skill.
* Metal Refining - The higher this Skill Level, the more effectively the player can refine ore into metal ingots for forging.
* Fishing - Allows the player to catch and trap fish, providing a source of food and an item for selling.
* Farming - Allows the player to engage in farming. Tiling the land, watering crops, planting and tending seeds and fields, etc.
Player Combat Support Skills
(For the first two Skills, attempting either of them in the field without first unlocking them will end in failure)
* Parry - The rate of success for the Parry Skill depends on the Parry Skill Level, the player's Strength Stat, and the enemy's Strength stat. The higher the player's Strength and the higher the Parry Skill Level, the greater chance for success. The higher the enemy's Strength Stat, the lower the chance for success. Almost every Boss in the game is too strong to parry, and must be blocked directly instead.
* Stun - Once the Stun Skill is unlocked, the player may begin using various techniques to Stun the enemy in combat. Throwing dirt in the eyes, poking the eyes, spitting in the fact, stomping on toes, kicking to the groin of male humanoid enemies, biting scratching, shrieking at the top of your lungs into their ears. Anything that could theoretically stun an enemy will do just that.
* Howl - Can attract the attention of nearby monsters (think Aggro in typical mmo's).
* Battle Healing - Allows the player to use SP to restore HP of nearby Party members. While casting Battle Healing, the player is vulnerable and must remain immobile until the casting is complete. The higher the Skill Level, the faster Battle Healing can be cast.
* Meditation - By entering a meditative state, the player hastens HP regeneration and lowers the time of status afflictions and debuffs.
* Spirit Shield - Allows the player to cast a Shield over Party members, reducing a certain amount of damage for a specified amount of time dependent on the Skill Level.
Creating your own Skills is the primary attraction of this game as the weapons don't inherently come with Skills of their own, nor do any of the three Classes you choose from when you begin.
To create your own Skills you must access your Skill Creation Menu. Once active, you will be allowed to create up to 6 Skills, 3 of which can be used in combat at any one time by checking the "Activate" icon next to the Skill once it's created.
To create a Skill access the Skill Creation Menu and click on the Create Skill option. You will then be taken to an interface where you will choose the weapon the Skill is meant for (only one weapon), and then you will be required to create a series of movements or stances which will then activate the Skill in combat by clicking on the Skill Prerequisites option.
The game will then scan your Avatar for stances and movements as well as verbal commands. In short, you have to say the Skill for it to activate in the field of battle. But this is much more simple than it sounds as the game waits for specific commands before it makes the specific motion part of the Skill's activation.
As an example you take a stance and raise the weapon up horizontal to the ground, and then you say "Create Prerequisite." The game then makes the stance in question part one of your Skill. You can continue creating prerequisites until such a time as you say "Skill Complete," at which point the Skill will be complete in its movements and prerequisites and become battlefield ready.
Be careful though, as once you've set a prerequisite you're required to perform it the exact same way every time you want to activate the Skill. If you miss the angle of the blade or the distance between your feet by so much as an inch, the Skill will fail to activate.
As mentioned before you can create up to 6 Skills at once, but only 3 may be activated for combat purposes at a time.
These Skills do more damage than normal attacks in combat and can be used to dispatch enemies quickly for various situations depending on how you design them and when you activate them.
If you think of any, send them to me in a private conversation and we'll discuss adding them to the RP. But do not post in this thread at any time please.
