Hello! It's me again- Today I wanna tell ya about ❝Light of Love❞ Online. Think of this like SAO but instead of dying in the game = dying in real life, it's not getting enough heart points = dying in real life
I've done this once on Amino but it was ruined by a special snowflake that was pissy because she didn't get enough points.
Basically you have about 3 weeks to find someone and earn heart points with them. You get heart points by successful dates. You lose hearts by either dying in PvE or PvP or by ending a date prematurely, turning down a date or turning down too many dates.
Here is how it all works:
Your character can go on dates with whoever they'd like. You're limited to 6 dates a week.
With each date, you'll earn 1 heart point.
You can lose heart points too.
The ways to do this is to offend your date which forfeits any rewards the date could've reaped- but doesn't deduct from your current balance
Other ways to lose hearts from your current balance is to turn down a date or end it early. Turning down too many dates will also result in a penalty (of which is chosen at random from a wheel spin. The max you could lose is 3 hearts.)
To choose a route, start a date, and end a date, both of the players must agree. There will be a notification when any of these are requested. You can either accept or decline. Declining will delete 1 of your hearts with the player. Completing a date will add a heart. If you leave a date early, you won't get the heart for that interaction and lose a heart. You leave a date early by pressing 'End Date Anyway?' after your date either hasn't responded to the notification or declined to end the date.
You can only date 6 times a week, no matter who it's with- you only get 6 date cards a week...UNLESS you have the 'double date card' which is up for purchase at random. There's only one for each time it's released. So you gotta get it quick!
Double Date Card - Unlocks one more date for the week. Expires after the week is out and they don't stack. You can only have one at a time.
The point of the game is to earn as many hearts are you can with more than one person. (This is just to keep people from only interacting with one person)
To unlock special date options or choose that player's route, you need to earn at least 5 points with them. A route locks in the player in as a love interest and unlocks the date options previously mentioned.
To get a bad end before the first week ends: Earn less than 5 hearts with anyone by the end of the week.
To get a bad end: Earn less than 15 hearts with anyone or turn down, leave, and offend too much.
To get a normal end: Earn 15 to 24 hearts
To get a good end: Earn 25 hearts
To end/complete a route: Earn 8 hearts with someone. The last route you complete must have 9 hearts.
Bad end means you die.
Normal end means you live, but you're stuck in the game to play another match.
Good end means you're free.
You can start a date anywhere, as long as the other player accepts the notification.
Players have a messaging system, where the contacts of all the players are listed. Wanna call or text a player? Choose that option in the settings.
You absents count towards the game. Just to make things more interesting. If you leave for a week, regardless if you warn us, the game will continue and you'll fall behind. Why? There's two reason:
1. We can't really pause the whole roleplay, a roleplay based on real time, because someone got busy. Here me out for a second. If we did decide to pause while a player was busy, when they come back, someone else might need to go. And to me it seems like an endless cycle. AAAAAAAnd it's kinda unfair to others. I mean, life happens but to me, this would add on an extra challenge.
2. If you're out for a week, it just means you'll need to work extra hard to catch up by doing secret missions and other things provided to earn the hearts and date cards you missed.
Consider it like... when you actually take a break from an rpg game. The game goes on while you're gone still. If you miss things while you're gone, that's your loss. Is that unreasonable of me-?
^I probably rambled that entire explanation but it's 4:40 am and I'm not redoing it- lol... T_T
To join, you don't have to make a whole new character, but you need to fill out a small template of sorts. Keep in mind that this is an AU in a way. Your character doesn't need to be made for this roleplay and I'd prefer if you just used a character that you already had. Why? Because there's no background outside of the game. It wouldn't make sense to make a vague character for a short roleplay.
There are several locations to visit (some of which are date spots)
Library♡
Arena (PvP enabled)
Cafe♡

Forest
Market (where you find Double Date Tickets)
Mission Board
Beach
Inn (where everyone sleeps if they haven't purchased a house)
the rest is here
