Yeah, she can also use her illusion weaving skills to make the ship invisible for a set amount of time if things start to appear too dire and use her siren song power to call in sharks to deal with those that survive their ship being destroyed and help get Mercy a no survivors reputation if need be.

Depends on how easy long range communication is in this world. She'd probably write and get letters occasionally (Like once every few months or so, since Scarfala is still a long trek from the capital) so he could probably keep updated on how she's doing that way
