Estelle can come across as timid or shy towards strangers, but she is simply withdraw, afraid of letting her true personality show for fear that it will be ill-received. Until she has a chance of warming up to someone, she remains distant but polite. Once she does feel comfortable around someone, Estelle has been shown to have a curious nature, never seeming to run out of questions or inquiries. She has a playful demeaner at times, with an adventurous spirit that beckons her into the unknown.

Estelle is fairly decent at masking her emotions, which leads others to believe that she is calm and collected but in reality, she is just able to hide how she is truly feeling. A kind-hearted soul by nature, Estelle's empathetic tendencies lead her to lending a helping hand whenever she is able and she is unable to turn away from a person in need of help.

Estelle can be quite gullible at times, which when combined with her empathetic nature, can lead her to being fooled by those with ill-intentions. Estelle can also be a bit of a perfectionist; she tends to be very hard on herself when she is unable to complete a task to her satisfaction and she has a bad habit of comparing her accomplishments (or lack there of) to the accomplishments of others. Due to her masking her emotions at times, instead of confronting her negative emotions in a healthy way, Estelle bottles them up until she is eventually over-whelmed by them.

early life

(Backstory is subject to change to fit the Sun Wielder's backstory)

One late night, the caretakers at an orphanage heard the sound of a baby crying. Once they identified that the sound was not coming from any of the young children within the building, they rushed outside. There, resting swaddled in a pink blanket inside of a basket, was a baby girl. The women were not able to find a note anywhere on the child and so they brought her inside, with no name and no family to claim her as their own. They named her Estelle and she lived at the orphanage for eight years before she was adopted by a same-sex couple who were delighted to have her as their daughter.

later life

Her life with her new family was a complete contrast to what her life in the orphanage had been; she got to have a room all to herself and there was no one there to steal her things. She didn't have to worry about if someone was going to steal her food and there were no other kids there to pull cruel pranks on her like locking her in closets just to hear her cry.

For once in her life, Estelle has never had to want for anything, her parents doting on her any chance they could get. As she grew up, she took an interest in watching her dad cook in the kitchen and when he felt she was old enough, he started to let her help out. She took to cooking like a fish to water, discovering a newfound passion for the hobby. As the years passed and her parents grew older, Estelle shouldered some of the cooking responsibilities to help ease their burden.

Now Estelle is in her second year of high school. She had joined a culinary club her Freshman year and managed to make a few friends there, despite her quiet nature. Even though she is only a Sophomore, she is already looking ahead to her future; she has already begun looking at different culinary schools she wants to apply for after she graduates.

Lunar Solidification

User can solidify or give solid-like properties to lunar energy with the level of solidity going from loose jelly to metal-like hardness or beyond. What she can make depends on what she has seen or touched. She is unable to make constructs from objects that have many complicated parts such as a cellphone or a car. The larger the construct being created, the more energy it takes.

Lunar Empowerment

Gold tempered by iron.

Perfect Pax is your stereotypical golden boy. Straight As. Captain of the Basketball Team. Future Prom King. And yet that is just one of the many masks he wears.

Aloof and impersonal. Pax does not let many people get close and keeps all but a select few at an arm's length. Cold to a fault nearly. He does not like to depend on other people and has the tendency to take in everything on his own rather than asking for help.

Pax has a dangerous almost unshakeable confidence that borders on arrogance. In the most high pressure situations he will gladly take on all the responsibility and all the blame should things go bad.

Pax does not bare his heart openly nor easily unless he feels a strong connection. It is very hard to gain his confidence but rather easy to lose it or never earn it at all.

A strong almost rigid sense of morality. Capable of great kindness but would rather people believed he is indifferent to it everything due to many unfortunate circumstances in his youth. He leaves the optimize to his sister.

A dry wit. Pax's sense of humor is so muted that many believe it nonexistent. His sarcastic barbs come across as face value statements to many as his tone rarely changes.

Above all Pax is steadfast in his loyalty and sees that as his moment commendable trait. For those worthy enough to gain his loyalty he does not waver in their defense or their protection. He will absolutely push the issue if he feels those he cares about are insulted or slighted in any way.

As the older of the two siblings, Pax has done all he can do to be the model of perfection while taking as much attention off his sister as possible. With his impeding graduation he's afraid that he'll have to leave her alone, something he hasn't done since they were barely able to walk. The decision to leave or stay close by weighs on him relentlessly.

And now that he has been named captain of the basketball team there is an expectation to bring home a title before he leaves.

It seems the quiet year he had hoped for isn't in the cards but it's nothing he can't handle.

Headcannons

Frugal. Doesn't spend money unless absolutely necessary. Still has a piggy bank Victoria gave him when he turned 10 and hasn't taken a cent out. His parents joke that it's contents would probably pay for Pax's college tuition

His nickname came about from pure happenstance. His sister tried to call him Pats but with a missing front tooth the TS sounded more a KS. From there on he answered to nothing else.

Never wears matching socks

Sleeps with a stuffed dinosaur named Daniel the Dino. The only relic from his passed life as a ward of the state.

Tricked by Victoria into helping her garden once and discovered he had a green thumb and enjoyed the experience so much he can be found planting and watering in their backyard.

Will not answer to anything but Pax. Will give one warning but from then on there will happily ignore anyone.

Can be found most nights on the roof of his home looking through his telescope

powers/abilities

Solar Empowerment

A passive ability that allows Pax to absorb and store sunlight as well as enhance his physical capabilities. Currently he can only store up to five hours of sunlight when not in contact with the sun. When his storage is used up he becomes lethargic and exhausted to the point of hardly being able to move.

His abilities are more potent when the sun is up with noon being when his powers reach their apex. Inversely night is when he's at his weakest and using his powers becomes more taxing.

Lugh's Light

Pax is capable of manipulating the light spectrum. It allows him to create mirages, illusions, and after images. Though appearing real they're just a trick of the light and can be dispelled by physical contact. Currently Pax is only capable of small scale stuff. His best is two duplicates of himself.

Helios' Halo

A support ability. Pax can enhance the capabilities of others instead of himself. Think of it as Pax sharing his enhancements with others (i.e increasing speed or dexterity or strength). Because of the nature of enhancing another, especially someone who's body isn't equipped to handle the strain once the effects wear off the target will be hit with double the exhaustion and pain they'd normally experience. Currently Pax can only boost one target.

His eyes are a strikingly different shade of blue than his sister's. Where hers are the blue of an ocean, whether stormy or calm, his gaze is fascinatingly Cherenkov blue. It pierces the soul like a spear. Like he's looking through you, towards the horizon, no matter how far away it may be, or what stands between him and it.

PHYSIQUE
Alexander's body is honed, but in such a way that it is clearly not a product of regular physical labor. It is sculpted, a product of intentional effort to be balanced in the development of each of his muscle groups. It is honed as one would a blade, cultivated as one would a tree. Alexander seeks ever to be better, and a healthy body is but the foundation of a healthy mind.

ATTIRE
Alexander prefers clothing that is utilitarian and comfortable. Generally a comfortable t-shirt, nice jacket, and sweatpants are good enough for his daily routine.
Personality: The sun is many things in many cultures. It is flame. It is life. It is the turning of a wheel. And so too is Alexander many, many things. At first glance, Alexander is a bull-headed, utterly focused young man. He sets out a path for himself and follows it with all the singular inevitably of the sun rising and setting each and every day. But where he has the cause, he can ruthlessly re-prioritize as well, changing course when he finds a new path more desirable at the turn of a switch, without qualm or regret. He is a very honest person, if only because he finds lying pointless and utterly beneath him. Despite these things, he makes a fiercely steadfast friend, and is relatively easy to approach socially. He is very blunt in social situations, making very few attempts to hide his particular opinions on one thing or another.

Alexander has a deeply analytical point of view, being prone to break things down into easy to digest component pieces, before reassembling them to gain new perspective or insight on certain dilemmas. At times, this can make him seem dispassionate to the point of being heartless, as he will dissect moral dilemmas with the same clinical focus he would any other problem. But he is not a cruel person. He sets himself to a specific, rather simple principle by which he evaluates morality. The Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It is a principle which is a two-way street; one will find that offering him ill-will is a quick way to have him conclude to return to you such ill-will. But it is one that ultimately compels him to benevolence, for he ultimately appreciates it when others offer him kindness, and so it's only right to return it in kind to the world.

Though he may seem impassive at times, one may find that he has a surprisingly... casual, sense of humor. If one can describe making very bad puns as 'casual'. Indeed, much of his emotional expression is in deeds rather than words. If he likes you, you may expect him to drop a gift your way, before continuing on his usual daily routine as if nothing had changed at all.

The Dawn Breaks:
Alexander is capable of focusing sunlight into extremely short-range blasts of scorching kinetic force, channeled through his hands, eyes, or similar. If applied to a creature, this will burn them and knock them back, while an object may be sent flying, and a piece of terrain may find itself shattering.

Throne of Ra:
His strength waxes with the Sun. His powers/physical abilities grow with sunlight, as well as from the sun's position in the sky. The brighter the sunlight around him and/or the time of day it is, the stronger his abilities become.

Solar Furnace:
Alexander's physical abilities can be enhanced by 'burning' his inner sun further. While this thankfully does not do any damage to him, it does heat his body up, running the risk of heatstroke if overused. In addition, this ability lights him up, making his body a nice source of sunlight, though it does not contribute to the Throne of Ra's ability to derive strength from sunlight. As a side effect, however, this makes him very resistant to heat and light as impairments.

Corona Crown:
He can summon up a circle of Sunfire behind his head, invoking the mantle of the Sun. While this circle exists, the weight of the Sun's authority gives him a supernatural boost in gravitas, if not quite raw charisma. People will find their attention naturally drawn towards him and his words, if not necessarily always in a good way. In addition, to those who are hostile to Alexander, it will appear to flash brightly, making it difficult to look at him with it constantly sending out glaring sunlight to their eyes.

A senior in high school, Briar radiates confidence and conviction. She knows what she wants and how to get it, however this doesn't qualify her as a bitch by any means. In fact, Briar is one of the most popular girls at her school purely because she's friendly with everyone. Of course she has her own tight knit group of friends, but her dad raised her to be kind to everyone and that's what she's always done. Ever since getting her powers though, Briar has been a bit more on edge and less carefree than usual, which some people have realized and distanced themselves from her for. Being along is something that she fears immensely and with her powers causing her more and more anxiety, she fears that she'll soon push everyone away.

the dark - ever since they came face to face with the shadowy monster that they're up against, Briar has become afraid of being alone both at night and in the pitch black

being alone - Briar used to have a tight-knit group of friends, but she pulled away after gaining her powers out of a fear of hurting them. She's even had to pull away from her father, all she has are the other elementals and she's terrified of losing them too

losing control - while Briar is known to be confident and carefree, she also has severe anxiety. For years she's been able to work around it with therapy and maybe a few smoke sessions, but now she also has to worry about the very valid idea that she could lose control of her powers and hurt someone.

early life

As a child, Briar was brought up by a loving father and a mother who always kept a distance. She suffered from terrible postpartum depression and never fully came back from it, leaving a strained relationship between her and her daughter. Briar's dad always came to the rescue though when Melanie was being too hard on their daughter, sticking up for the child in any way he could. Eventually, Briar's mother left in the middle of the night with nothing more than a note saying how she'd always love Mark, Briar's father.

So, it was just Briar and her dad which made the two close to inseparable. Mark was his daughter's number one fan at everything she did, from swim meets to dance competitions, Briar was and always would be a star in his eyes. The two have annual vacations and trips that they take as a duo, never tiring of each other. When Briar's anxiety first reared its head, Mark was the first to console her and help find her a therapist.

later life

Once high school came around, Briar had to drop out of some of her hobbies and sports due to the pressure to succeed as well as her anxiety getting worse. She did audition for the dance team though and quickly became the shining star. As such Briar found herself quickly climbing the ranks of the student body and eventually getting invited to parties and out of school activities. She loved the new social circles and friends she had though, which is how she met her boyfriend, Max Wallows.

Max was a soccer player and quickly caught Briar's eyes at a party one night. He was in a smoke circle and while Briar had never tried weed before, she wanted to be noticed. So, she smoked with the guys, getting to know them all but ending up only in one of their beds at the end of the bight; Max's. Since then the couple has been called potheads, however Briar doesn't mind the label as it really does help ease some of her anxiety and worry.

Briar was completely and totally enamored with Max and could see the two in it for the long haul, however that all changed after she got into a car accident with a group of acquaintances from school. It was a normal day at Max's house when the two began fighting about something stupid, he left his room and Briar went out onto his balcony, tapping her acrylics against a potted plant. Immediately it began to grow, flowers blooming along it and Briar knew something was off. The more she learned about her newfound magic though, the more she was able to control it.

Now though, the main six must be teachers of their own to the three new elementals they've found. Since the year they discovered what was going on, Briar has broken up with her boyfriend out of fear of hurting him or putting him in the line of fire. If she could do the same with her dad, Briar would in a heartbeat. For now though, she has to focus on protecting him.
