I have officially jumped onto this hype train. Got chills just from watching it, it looks so good!
I'm surprised they're doing a prequel, though, since before when they talked about making another Life is Strange game they were considering using an entirely new cast of characters.
I'm happy about this, though! We finally get to learn more about Rachel and actually interact with her! At least I'm assuming that much, since it looks like we'll be playing Chloe?
Either way, I'm excited!

I actually am hyped to play as Chloe, (seeing as I wasn't all that fond of Max) but with this being a prequel it's making me curious... the first game relied on the time manipulation mechanic heavily, so will this have any paranormal elements or just be detailing her life?

So was I, especially considering that it was a pretty big rumor that they'd be using a new cast of characters. But I don't care really, in-fact I'm happier this way! God I love the fact that this focuses on Rachel and Chloe also yeah playing as Chloe would be amazing!

Also I'm really curious about what the paranormal aspect of this if any there will be, the trailer showed Chloe with her dad when he died but I don't really recall that detail ever being brought up, sooo...time travel? Or at least some kind of paranormal fuckery about. What if Rachel's got magical powers? xD​

It would certainly make sense given how highly a lot of people talked about her in the game. "A human chameleon" I think is what someone described her as.
It was definitely a popular theory when the original game came out so :3

It was revealed at E3 I think that you can choose to either have Chloe's feelings be platonic or romantic. WHICH I think is load of fucking bullshit tbh because I don't see how anyone can play the first game and think that Chloe doesn't have romantic feelings for Rachel. I mean, yeah the choice is great but it doesn't make sense for the character they already set up.

if i'm gonna be 100% honest it seems like a cop-out to say "Heyyy at least we have something that represents lgbt+ right??? right?" without ACTUALLY giving us that representation and this is a similar problem i had with max and chloe's relationship.

I'm super hype too! I actually got into Life is Strange by accident, bought the whole game when episode 1 was out, looked to Steam forums to figure out why it wouldn't let me play the other episodes when I paid for all of them. Man, 2015 was a wild ride for me.

I'm only a little dissapointed that the voice actors didn't return, but I'm sure I'll get used to it once I'm actually playing.

Yeah, I don't know the specific names of the new VAs. But they're part of this strike going on. Allegedly, the team were going to wait out the strike but to them it didn't seem like it was going to end soon, so they went ahead with new VAs.
