  Backstory: Before the apocalypse, May worked for the FBI as a part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. She was allowed to join so early because she had advanced language and martial arts skills. When the zombie pathogen first started to appear May was called in to investigate it because they were trying to figure out where people were catching it, that was before they realized it had been released as an airborne pathogen that was then caused by the exchange of bodily fluids (biting, scratching, other unspeakable things). May was in her hotel room one night when a member of her team came to her door, infected. He asked May to shoot him before the disease got the better of him. She did end up shooting him, which made her realize that she was going to have to do a lot of killing if she wanted to survive. For the next month May survived, moving a building a day, just trying to get out of the city. One day she discovered the grocery store. There she found a man name Isaiah Mathews. She and him worked together and realized they had some feelings for each other, but in the end Isaiah got infected. He started losing his mind and attacked May. She didn't want to fight him but she had no other choice. She fought him so that he wouldn't infect her and then locked him out of the grocery store. She hasn't left the store because there is a good supply of food available there.

Brief Backstory: Aralyne's mother got taken by the early forms of the virus, and she ran away from their country home in order to get away from her. She stole her moms car and drove to the city, looking for help in any way. None came, so she started to live on her own, trying to help anyone she came across. Her journey brought her to a special grocery store, which would unite her with a group that would begin traveling together.
