Life Advice Forum

I know the real life forum section says that it's not for seeking life advice, but why is that we don't have a section for that? Do you know how relieving it can be to someone to be able to ask for life advice from a bunch of people they don't know online instead of trying to ask someone IRL? I just think that this would be a good idea and could be a positive influence on this site.

I'm going to say definitely not. Users are not professionals and we don't want false or bad advice be given, especially regarding mental or physical health and cause more issues for that user. RPN is a roleplaying, game site, not a place for users to sort out through personal issues.

Regardless of any disclaimers we post, there will always be people who will ignore such warnings and follow any posted advice, no matter how right or wrong it might be. We, as a staff, do not want to be indirectly responsible for a site user coming into grief or harm as a result of advice read on RpN. The ramifications of an 'advice forum' are too far-reaching and unpredictable enough to risk. Lawsuits have been levied against organisations and individuals for far lesser reasons than bad advice followed and we'd rather refuse to allow advice forums and threads than place the site owner at risk of any legal action.

What about RP advice? What if there's a really hard choice in an RP you're doing? You can ask for what people think is the best choice. Like, kiss her or let her kiss you?

No need to worry. If there are any more questions or suggestions there's of course a very reliable team of staff avalible- but also some roleplayers who might have some good insight to your questions.
