Fantasy Let's Create

Hello All,

I wish I could spend a ton of time on this post, but I've got to keep it pretty tight given time constraints.

I'm really missing a writing partner in my life. I've been roleplaying for, generous estimate, 15 years at this point and I've gone through really impactful and serious relationships with writing partners--some of whom have become my closest friends in life. I'm looking for one to three long term one-x-one partners. I'd love a partner whose relatively advanced in roleplaying, delves into serious concepts/themes, and is down to have a cordial and friendly (in the OOC world) relationship with their writing buddy. I don't really know what the "advanced" moniker means these days but to me it's always meant engaging in intellectually stimulating writing with one another.

I'm a heterosexual guy, and generally play heterosexual guys and tend to live in the realm of fantasy and all things magical; a smattering of things I love includes: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Steampunk, Cyberpunk, Elfen Lied, Attack on Titan, Star Wars, and a lot more. I'd love to just chat up a roleplaying topic with a some folks and figure out whether our interests align, and where. I'm not sure what the romance norms are around here, but I tend to think if the relationship lends itself to intimacy, go for it--if not, platonic love is just as (if not more) fulfilling. Feel free to prod further on this thread and then, I guess, message me if it seems like we can have an extended conversation about what works and what doesn't.

I also have a weird schedule so I'm not expecting fidelity but rather consistency. I hope I get to meet some truly amazing people here, and am excited about the prospect.

Looking forward to finding some new story builders.

Glad to see another 'oldie' lurking around here!

I'm on the search for a new RP partner, as well - so in case you're interested in chatting a bit, here is a mini synopsis of what I'm looking for. If things look like they might mesh, shoot me a PM.

I've been RPing for 20-something years - writing, tabletop, and LARPing. I would consider myself a fairly advanced writing partner - I enjoy challenging themes and subject matter and I'm not easily put off by *most* concepts. If you'd like a writing sample, I would be happy to oblige! I usually post anywhere from 3 to 10+ paragraphs, though I value quality over quantity any day of the week. My intros tend to be on the long side, because I love painting a good picture and putting a lot of detail into my work. I've been on a creative hiatus for a while now, so I might be a tad rusty. But there is only one way to find out. Disclaimer: I am an adult, married human and have obligations outside writing - I always appreciate patience! I get busy, but I'm one of those folks that doesn't mind chatting OOC, so I won't go dropping off the face of the earth. Life just happens.

I play both male and female characters (though I am female), and I LOVE 'doubling', as the young things call it these days. Playing multiple characters. I always have supporting, side, and NPC characters in the works. I am looking for something platonic - not seeking romantic writing of any kind at this juncture. Just platonic, richly built up relationships. Bonding through adventuring and the like.

As far as subjects, I am an open book. I am less about 'high-fantasy' writing - huge, overarching plots to fight and save the world aren't for me. I like gritty, human struggle on the smaller, more personal, and emotional scale. But that isn't to say I don't like a lot of conflict and challenge! I'm just not interested in the 'fight a demon and save the princess' sort of story archs. LOVE watching and reading them, hate writing them! I love fantasy, though, both in a traditional setting AND modern setting. I'm a big fan of post-apocalyptic, prehistory or survival. I love steampunk and cyberpunk genres, as well. About the only thing I'm not a fan of is traditional modern or 'slice of life' role plays.

If you think we're compatible, shoot me a message and we can talk world-building. :)

Hello there! I would love to see if we're compatible writers!
I'm nearly 21(like, a week from now), and I started roleplaying about ten years ago. It's been a long time since I've had a good, long-term rp, and I've really been itching for one.

I'm not much of a geek, so I'm unfamiliar with the fandoms mentioned, but I adore fantasy, especially dark and gritty plots with mysteries and political intrigue.

I tend towards playing female characters as mains, but am more than happy to write a whole slew of side characters as well. I write anywhere from 1-4 paragraphs depending on what's going on in the rp, and can reply every week. If you'd like to discuss plot, let me know!
