Fantasy Legendary Heroes: European Mythology Roleplay

Field Marshall

Eight Thousand Club
This will be an action adventure roleplay in a fictional land involving but not limited to Celtic, Arthurian, Irish, and Norse mythology as well as some Greco Roman mythology. It's the Western counterpart to my Eastern mythology roleplay idea.

I like the sound of the idea, I'm all about mythology of any kind, but I'd like to see a bit more about the plot and world. You already know 'Journey to the West' is a Chinese tale, the title was a bit misleading for me ^^'

I have some ideas for the plot but I was gonna try to see what everyone would want to do because zi can't decide. The name I guess I'll fix it.

I was thinking like a Grand quest to find the Holy Grail which will take the protagonista through different lands and kingdoms in search of it.

Seems intersting. I would like to join and have a question: Should we make up heros or take ones from mythology?

I'm sorry, I'm new here...
Please, can you explain to me what "bump" is...?
I've seen it at least five times now.

It would be interesting to try and like splice these nations into a world with each other. I assume it would end up

I think islands, Tevinter, Antivia, and Rivain would be the Greco Roman section of the world

The Anderfels and the that land north of it would be the Norse section

Irish would be Nevarra and Starkhaven

The half of Orlais that borders Nevara and Anderfels would be Celtic

That leaves southern Orlais and Ferelden to being the Arthurian section

Since I use a mobile and wouldn't know how to edit the photo anyway I had to do that. Unless someone here is skilled with that kind of thing, let me know so I can come up with region names.

Even if someone were to play a character from legend they would undoubtedly end up being an original take because of how different the world is. I think I would allow certain gods to be played, I mean like gods like Hercules, Lugh, and Thor if they are made not too OP.

The main story would be the search for the Holy Grail but depending on character's personal storylines. There would be things such as characters rushing back home to their Kingdom to fight a war or civil war. Characters trying to manuever political figure in Kingdoms they stop in such as trying tk become the King of nation through marrying its princess.

Alright so for the main story, not quite set in stone wanted your opinions if you find this super appealing, have ideas of your own, or think I can do better

Basically the world is under threat by a new evil that has been operating in the shadows and actually masterminding a series of incidents and disasters. As the heroes of each land fight to avert these crises they begin to notice the hand prints of this mysterious organization which brings them to want to investigate together.

There's more to this but that would reveal too much. I think at the Roleplays beginning it will start with he first Crisis and the heroes gathering to avert the first Crisis.

I like the idea, perhaps some of the lands have been warring and they are about to set aside their differences to confront this great evil?
They send their best and brightest warriors on a quest to defeat it, which means going after the grail, slaying gigantic beasts and generally being heroic.
I was toying with the idea of making a Norse shield maiden, devout in her belief of Scandinavian gods and sometimes being helped by them? Nothing major, an animal guide here, a thunderstorm there, that sort of thing.

I'm a little confused about the Dragon Age map though, why not just use a real map?

That's because I clearly wasn't thinking and forgot just how close these nation's are to each other in the first place
