Oddly enough

Hey friends! My name is Scrappy, I'm a seasoned and battered RP veteran. I started RPing back on ~*AIM*~ (whoa...). I love fantasy, high, low, middle, sideways, original worlds, nitty gritty world building, and on very rare occasion original characters in fiction inspired worlds. I haven't been inspired by any fiction or any shows lately so that might be a hard sell.

☆ My preference is to write with people similar in age. 21-25+ if you are in your thirties, even better. Youths, this old dog isn't learning any new tricks.

☆ I do not have any gender preferences for main characters. A character is a character. I write male and female mains. I enjoy doubling and expanding stories through characters and their problems. Honestly the more the merrier.

☆ Romance is romance. I do not have preferences for pairings. If characters have a natural chemistry and attraction I am happy to let them pursue that. I wont ever force a romance because it fits a narrative or forces an ideology.

☆ I am an incredibly active partner. I will reply multiple times a week and or day. My job can be mind numbing. I am alone outside all day and RPing keeps my morale up and my day exciting. I am more productive if my brain has a story to chew on.

That being said, *I'm not ghost friendly*. If your life blows up, you become too busy, circumstances change, that's completely fine. Just let me know. I don't like being left hanging and communication is respectful and courteous. If you had to cancel a date or hanging out with a friend in person, you would let them know. A forum shouldn't be any different. A warning or closure will keep me from gnawing on the bones of our story.

I've had several wonderful writing partners over the years. Many of them got swept up by life and that's just fine.

☆ Third person and past tense. Often multiple paragraphs. I will not force myself or expect you to write something that doesn't fit the narrative. Maybe a one or two sentence reply suits the pacing, maybe it's a page. I'm never going to hold you to a word count.

☆ If you make an NPC it's yours. You never know who will turn into an important to character. Some of my favorites have been created this way.

☆ I love ooc chatter, getting to know our fictional people outside the story, sharing playlists, memes, videos, Pinterest boards, you name it.

☆ Happy with Discord or PM.

☆Triggers. I have medical trauma and come from a family of therapists. I prefer not to pursue themes of SA, mental illness, abuse, and medical proceedures. We can talk about that separately for better clarity. I don't avoid these themes, but I prefer to handle them carefully and within the context of the character and their development.

🍞 Favorite Themes/Tropes🍞
Forbidden love, enemies to lovers, rivals, found family, unqualified heroes, anti-heroes, forbidden magic, vigilantes, slow burns, star crossed lovers, love triangles, dragons, cowboys, prohibition, secret magic, lost civilizations, fantasy idiots, monster hunters, vampires, werewolves, apocalyptic nonsense.

More than I could name or probably even articulate. I love a juicy messy story with deeply flawed people who stumbled into redemption (or not), but I also love plucky, good natured heroes facing down the world ending big bad. If a story has common Tropes and a fun twist, I'm all for it.

I don't have any plots right now, I was hoping to find a long term partner who really enjoys writing and wants to build something chaotic and wonderful together. I did have a dream about a girl who turned into a dragon after drinking Goldschlager. Modernish theme, a world similar to ours, her boyfriend? Brother? Best friend? Has to save her? Dunno. Gotta think about it more.

If we sound like a good fit and you have a story you want to jump into, send me a message!

💡IDEAS/PROMPTS💡

-A farmer and a scholar, or any two people from dramatically different socio-economic groups, embark on an adventure to find out what's poisoning their country's water/air/soil.

-The King has gone mad and wants to start a war. It's up to his sister and her unlikely allies to stop him.

-A witch wants to destroy magic.

-A monster slayer and a scientist have to return a baby dragon to its mother before she burns down the kingdom.

-A group of heroes have to kill the unkillable

-The love of a hero/heroines life went mad and disappeared. They have to find them.

-Underground denizens are commanded by their Lich King to find the source of the above ground invaders and stop them. This would be hilarious if it was an orc, a goblin, a kobold and a drow. The anti Fellowship.

-Sleight of hand and theatrics lands a talented actor or troupe in in hot water. The Kingdom believes they're real sorcerers and send them on a quest to defeat a monster/bad guy/someone with possible real magic.

-You're the prophesied hero of destiny! The chosen one! Everyone expects you to have magnificent powers. There's just one problem. You were swapped at birth with the real hero. Better find them before the Sentient asteroid wipes out everyone.

-Secretive fantasy creatures navigate WWI.

-Secretive fantasy creature navigate the modern day world, but with the threat of a fantastical doomsday looming. Magic is mostly dead, and they're rusty. Time to steal sacred artefacts from museums, locate extinct plants and animals for potions, and try to cobble together salvation with dwindling resources and foggy memories.

(I actually have a character for this last one. A vampire named Nor, formerly Noir, now Norman, because we have to adapt with the times and Noir is really sus. xD )
