Like every other high school in the nation, Dennings High School has its cliques, its bullies and, of course, its drama. It's almost like a rite of passage in high school, to get out you have to face these horrors like everyone else, regardless of where you stand on the food chain. Located in Larson, Virginia, Dennings High is a brand new school in the area that pools all of Larson's locals to it. It's only been open for about ten years.
Considering Larson is such a small town, it's no surprise that almost everyone knows each other as well as family secrets that should stay hidden or buried from the public eye. Most kids follow this silent rule of keeping their knowledge to themselves, however when a new social media account pops up under the name @whispersoflarson, secrets won't stay secrets for long. Students and even staff are able to send in what they know, and with so much drama in the school, it's no surprise that they're spreading everyone else's dirty laundry.
With backstabbing and heartache all throughout the school, the students must figure out who is doing this before the end of the year, otherwise the account has threatened to leak everything they know, which after seeing what tame secrets have been revealed, the students are terrified of what else this anonymous user knows. So strap in students of Dennings High School, you're in for a rough first year at the new school.
summary.
Basically, at its core, this is a simple high school group! I know there are multiple going on at once, but I hope you'll give some thought into joining this one. Though there is the anonymous user leaking secrets, the main point of this group is for character creation and development as well as relationship building.
All ooc communications will take place on Discord as it's easier to stay organized on there. We'll also have a cheat sheet in google docs with all of the characters so it's easier to know who's who and which user writes them. This will be a group based in skips/jumps to different events and times occurring both at the high school as well as throughout the town.
I think it'll be really fun and definitely a long-term thing, so if that sounds like your speed, come join the ooc! Also, a little note, though there are only a certain number of roles listed, if you have an idea for another come join! These were just the first ideas that came to mind and I needed to fill the sheet : )

Just like any other school, Dennings High also has the ever popular jock. He's beloved by many, but hated by about the same amount of people. Being captain of a sports team will give you that reputation and also help you get just about any conquest you want. Even jocks have secrets though, so what juiciness is he hiding?
the it-couple.

Ah yes, the it-couple who began dating freshman year. Everyone knows them as one being rather than separate people. However it can get tiring being the perfect couple, especially when you're only in high school. When their secrets come out, will they stay together, or will their relationship come crumbling down?
the golden girls.

Best friends since childhood, the golden girls are about as perfect as perfect can get. The two best friends are as close as ever and are both on the soccer team hoping for a scholarship to the same college. Their grades are perfect, along with their hair, clothes and makeup. But what happens if one falls from grace? Can their friendship withstand the test of time?

Every girl's dream and every parent's worst nightmare, the playboy's reputation is one of legend. He'll hook up with just about anyone if he finds you attractive enough and because of his good looks, him sleeping with someone lower on the social hierarchy simply doesn't affect his place near the top. Best friends with the jock, the two rule the school together, however the playboy cares more about the physical well being of others rather than social...
girl next-door.

She's been around forever, but is sometimes overlooked, the girl next door is just trying to find a way to breakthrough. Though she may be considered a wallflower, she's also friends with many different people. Of course, her heart belongs to the guy next door, or so everyone thinks anyway.
the rebel.

Contrary to popular belief, the rebel is actually a pretty nice guy. Of course, he smokes and drinks a little more than he should but what can you expect from a kid with a deadbeat family? The rebel seems to always be throwing parties or getting high, but what it seems like is that he's missing something. What could it be?
the queen bee.

Although the queen bee is popular amongst everyone, it's surely not for her friendly demeanor. In fact, it's more likely because the student body, and even some of the teachers, are scared of her. Reigning over the school with an iron fist, the queen bee isn't afraid to show her teeth if someone needs to be threatened. She has a sharp tongue and unmatchable wit, but even queens have secrets.
the loner.

Sure, being the loner may seem like a bad spot to be, but what if he chose the life he has? Everyone has their reasons for hanging out with certain people and doing certain things, so what would make the loner any different? The question is though, what are his reasons for not putting himself out there?
the artist.

Closer to the bottom of the social hierarchy is the artist. Not that there's anything wrong with that, or even him. It's just that art isn't seen as valuable to the school as sports are, so he's been left at the bottom. While extremely talented, he feels unseen which upsets him because he also wants to get away for college and be successful within the huge world of artistry.
the wannabe.

Though she isn't second in command, or even third or fourth, the wannabe has found her place in the queen bee's posse. Even if she's mean to her or threatens her, all the wannabe wants is to be popular and seen. She's desperate and is willing to fight tooth and nail to get what she wants.

one.This will be a literate - adv.lit group so think at least 3 paragraphs per response, however you decide to divide it up in your writing.
two.Must be 17+ to join the group, it's just comfier for older members that way, nothing personal.
three.No one likes OOC drama, so if you can't keep it IC only, this is not the group for you. Nothing characters do are personal to the player behind them, at least they shouldn't be.
