We start in a world called Owazu, where humans live, organizing themselves in society. Each part of the great world, which is surrounded in ocean, is divided into five dominions, and each dominion a capital. The noble people of this land strive to survive, some training from an early age to become great warriors like the ninja and samurai that protect the dominions. Though no matter what dominion one is from or whichever dominion they prefer, each is raised with a sense of homeland patriotism, and sent to the neutral zone with its one capital, Kawazaki Town, which is home to the warrior academy. Another interesting fact of this world, is that every dominion trains its warriors in their own unique arts of the elements. As for the current dilemma approaching, several hundred years ago the nine gods of the world were trapped within their avatars, and forced to be held within chosen humans with extraordinary souls. The soul, being the place where the power and energy to wield it come from, is important to all warriors.

Personality: Though he rarely shows it, he is a very deep thinking person who dwells upon each action made, making him very cautious, he doesn't talk to those he doesn't fully trust.
When the power held within him unleashes he becomes extremely emotional and almost animal-like. He however acts comfortably around death, more so than the norm.

History: His history is mostly mystery to him. Long ago his clan made a pact with death itself to reap 999 evil souls, in exchange for the power of death itself. The three brothers who attained the power, the puppeteer, the samurai, and the musician, established the family to pass the power down. 100 years ago the power was lost and Izu's father tried to reforge the pact, but ended up giving it all to Izu, in exchange for the life of every family member but Izu and his brother. Now far from his previous home, he and his brother attempt to live with the sins and mistakes of their clan.
