KAL KENT - SUPERBOY

2dm5fuu.jpg

Health 100% - Ops Room - @ nerdyfangirl

Kal’s blue eyes watched as the T shaped, tower growning closer while Nickelback’s Get Em’ Up blared through his headphones drowning out the beat of the chopper blades. Personally he’d have rather Flown himself, for one thing it would have been faster, and second he’d have felt less confined. But, according to his uncle, if he flew by himself he could get himself lost. ‘The ocean is a big thing’ he’d told Kal only a few hours ago before the teen boarded the private jet bound for Happy Harbor.

Nah, Kal had no belief that he’d get himself lost. Having done air combat training with drones, or even his uncle’s fighter squadron over long stretches of water out in the international waters of the Pacific Ocean, he’d learned to keep his eye on the sun as a compass, and he was quite good at it. No the truth of the matter was the military didn’t want to be the ones having lost him. He couldn’t blame them either. In just a couple of years Kal would be old enough to join the services and he would be their first ever, probably only ever, one man Air Force. One who had no need for a fighter jet.

After a few moments of watching the tower get closer and closer he squinted as something caught his eye. A boat docking on the island shore and, shortly after, someone making their way off. Squinting a little harder his eyesight seemed to magnify a little and he could barely make them out. The Island’s newcomer was a teen just like him, maybe even younger by the looks, which was unsurprising really as he was already told it’d be like this ahead of time. But what did surprise Kal was the boy’s physique. The boy was a twig. Even lifting his own cases the boy looked as if he could snap in half at any second. He was supposed to be part of the police force designed to take down super powered criminals?

Unfortunately, however, Kal lost sight of the boy as the chopper flew over head making him unable to study the boy to see if he may have missed something that redeemed the other boy from his earlier thoughts. Soon after the chopper made it’s decent onto the chopper pad on the right side of the top of the Giant T before coming to a gentle landing. After which, Kal slid the door open and bent low as he had been instructed the first time he’d ever ridden in a helecoptor, and exited carrying two duffel bags with him. Of course keeping himself low wasn’t for his own safety, but rather for the safety of the pilot and the machine itself. Once Kal had cleared the blades, the pilot gave a wave and, having more than enough fuel to make the return trip back to Happy Harbor lifted his craft into the air once again and turned towards home.

After giving a small raise of a duffel bag, Kal’s response to the wave, the teen turned towards the door that lead down into his home he’d be spending for a while. After watching the chopper head back off over the waters he took both the bag’s straps into one hand he slung them over one shoulder while he opened the door with the other and made his way down the stairs, the a few minutes later he opened the first door he came across. Though he was given a paper with the layout of the building, it was somewhere in his bags and he wasn’t ready to fish it out just yet.

“Hello?”
He called out as he stepped in closing the door behind him but paused as his eyes froze over the large room he’d just entered. After a second of taking in the sight he stepped further into the room as he looked around. The room was amazing. Almost like some special war room you’d see in one of those scifi movies. Hell, he was sure that Hobb’s Ferry Naval Base didn’t even have a room like this. As he made his way to the center of the room he placed his bags on round table.

“Feels like I just walked right into an episode of Stargate or something...”

H'lii Jardun - Green Lantern

Health 100% - Outside Titans Tower - @ nerdyfangirl

H’lii yawned exposing her fanged teeth as she stretched her body against the grass, basking in the Sun’s heat. Her blue fur covered tail flicked lazily from underneath her thin frame. For pretty much all night last night since she’d arrived , the morning that followed and through most of the day she’d been inside mostly. In fact she would have still been inside if it weren’t for for her own curious actions.

At first, starting in the morning when she’d awoken in her room, she had been highly curious about the building’s other inhabitant. But for some strange reason she had the other girl wanted to be left alone. So instead she took to exploring the tower’s layout. Most rooms were easy to get into as all they really had was a doorknob and she’d already been taught to use those. But then there were other doors that didn’t have a doorknob. Instead they had these weird square things that you had to press other little tiny square things that talked to you if you pushed too many. Yeah doors that talk, kinda scary right? Since then she learned to leave them alone, especially after one had told her she was denied access after she pressed too many of the little white squares. But other than that the other doors didn’t talk nor did they have the white squares.

Of course since she’d been to earth there had been many weird things she’d never seen on any of the other worlds she’d ever visited. For the most part the ones she’d been to were similar to hers or have figured out how to make life a little more easier in ways that her own people could benefit from, like ways to preserve their food. But this Earth, it went beyond making life easier. They could harness magic only the Gods have been known to use.

They, these humans, made devices that could light up a room during the night with out fire, other devices that could draw water with out needing a river or a lake. They even found ways to make the air in a room hot or cold enough to their liking with a device on the wall similar looking to the ones found by the talking doors. And that was only a small portion of the things they could do. Starheart, her friend and only traveling companion, of course tried to explain all this the best he could, but the way he talked, his words were sometimes just as confusing as the things he was talking about.

So anyways, H’lii stumbled accross one of these temperature, a word Starheart used to describe hot and cold, changing devices which led to her to being outside in the first place.

Curiosity getting the better of her she began to mess with the device a little and some how managed to make the lobby was down right freezing Instead of retreating deeper into the building where it was warmer, she figured it’d be safer outside just in case the cold spread through out the rest of the oddly shaped building. Besides the girl they called shadow could fix it if it got out of hand right? She was human after all and knew her way around this strange magic way more than she did.

But being outside now she found the warmth of the day much more preferable than the temperatures inside, before she accidentally began turning it into a deep winter. Plus the salty air smelled sooo much more fresher.

Brushing her bangs aside she sat up bringing her feet together as she looked around, a new sound making itself known through out the air. Reaching down she picked up the clips made from the bones of a Blaze Bird, an bird native to her world, into her bright blue hair just as yet another sound, a more familiar sound, also sounded through out the air. Looking up she spotted the helicopter, as she was told to call it when she most nervously rode one on her way to the island, which perched itself on the. What it was doing there, che could have only guessed was one of the other people that she was told would arrive. But what about that other sound?

Getting to her feet she made her way towards the sound until she spotted what looked to be a boat. Though this boat looked much different, and it was moving away at an alarmingly fast pace, well alarming to her. However her alarm quickly left and was replaced by her curiosity once again as a head poked over the edge as a figure made his way up the stone steps. In his arms he carried what looked to be some weird bricks of some sort.

"I suppose if the third member of the tower was on that air craft that just landed on the Tower, than this might be the fourth member."
Starheart's voice sounded out in H'lii's head.

"Do you think he possesses great strength?" H’lii asked, her tail twitching curiously as she watched. But after a second realization struck her that that may not be the case. She recognized walks like that from people who carried too much. Even she back in the day used to move like that when overburdened, but now she had Starheart. “It looks as though he may need some help.” She said before making her towards the boy from across the lawn in haste to give a lending hand.

“You need some assistance?!” She called out as she approached, her tail swishing behind her.
