(Okay, so it has been quite some time since I've done a starting post. Please forgive me!)
It was like any other day for the upper city jail, except for the utter chaos that was currently happening. The records were all a mess, the security robots all spoke different languages (leaving the human jailers quite confused, and the security cameras were moving around and focusing on anything but the jailed individuals.
This certainly wasn’t a regular occurrence at the jail and it was all due to one particular prisoner: Katzir Barak. Known for his prowess for hacking and harassment, he was an annoyance too many (including law enforcements and gangs). Currently he was sitting in his jail cell, leaning back on his cot with one of his legs crossed at his knee. There was not a care in the world for the infamous hacker, his eyes closed and he was humming a tune. His trademark smirk plastered across his face were dead giveaways of his playful tricks on the jail employees.
"I really hope you can get this one out. He's an annoyin' pain-in-the-neck type. He was trying to hack into a government terminal without authorization. He would've nearly gotten away with it if we hadn't received an anonymous tip." As the jailer reminded the local slicer, he knew that he had to get revenge on whoever ratted him out. The dark-haired young man opened one of his eyes and was greeted to two men who stood outside of his cell. He recognized the jailer who had put him in the cell when he had arrived at the jail. The other man who accompanied the jailer was taller and had a more refined look to him. Katzir assumed that he was the public defender that would represent him.
Katzir didn't attempt to hide his guilt, he just shrugged his shoulders and gave an impish grin. "I have no idea what he's talking about Mr. Public Defender. I am completely innocent and have never hacked into a government terminal." The snarky way in which he stated it gave no doubt he was guilty. "Even though we can tell he is lying, we need an actual confession. All we can do now is keep him here on the charges, but can't prove he did it." The jailer shrugged his shoulder. "Please get him out of here. He's been far too much trouble for my team and I." What the jailer said couldn't help but make Katzir let out a laugh. The jailer narrowed his eyes at the criminal and made him step closer to the lawyer to whisper.
"He's already managed to get through the security on his cell, even after we change the passcodes. Which means he could leave at any time. However, he seems to have taken a special pleasure in annoying us. Which reminds me, please ignore the fact that his file states that his first name is "Sir" and his last name is "Awesome.”” The jailer squeezed the bridge of his nose, obviously stressed by the entire situation.
