Sounds fun. I've had this idea for a konosuba character for a while now. Take your basic milsim nerd, who chooses to bring along a gun of course!

Only to find out that
- Bullets are extremely hard to come by
- Most high tier enemies can shrug them off like light rain
- Any next level gear is much more medieval in theme because it's ultimately a light fantasy setting.

He utterly refuses to wear more sensible higher level armour (because it clashes with his tacticool starter gear), or pick up a different weapon.

So he ends up constantly short on cash because he can only do low level quests and his gun chews through money as fast as he can make it. Like, he's a ranger/rogue. He totally could pick up a bow and do well with it to start adventures outside the starting zone. He just refuses.
