When the weeping cherry trees droop over the surface of the water, and the fish are playfully swimming around the deep blue body, the small, country town holds it’s annual Mulgogi Festival otherwise known as Fish Festival. It’s a celebration they’ve had for centuries and it’s ingrained in their history. The town is far from any city or any other town for that matter, and it’s allowed them to create their own customs and holidays.
Being primarily a fishing town, they take pride in their daily catches. This one day a year allows them to throw a huge party where the entire town is involved in games, dances, food, and challenges. Small businesses promote themselves with stands and samples, while fishermen sell their exotic catches. Towards the end of the festival, they light candles and leave offerings for the spirits, in hopes those looking over them will grant them good health and bless the fishermen with wonderful catches. Known for their savory meat dishes and good customer service, Che's Kitchen holds a good reputation as one of the island's more favored eateries.
Inho's mother had started the business on a whim. She was never really good with people but she cooked really well. She had always been known for her cooking skills and wanted to pursue a career in that field; so she did. She relied on her husband and son to handle orders and serve food while she preferred to stay in the back. They can say with confidence that it was due to the annual festival that they were able to grow and become more popular.
Inho's main job is to handle food delivery and take out orders. His parents recently bought a moped for him to be more efficient and continue to help with in-house orders. Because of their lack of staff however, they are currently looking for hard-working people to employ.
