...The Hunt Begins.
The era of the Hunter has come. An armistice has been created by the newly appointed Daimy? of the Lands and yearly summits have been established henceforth to assure this peace. Shinobi are now openly trained and Hidden Villages are being restored to their former glory. New Shinobi and veterans alike are now being tasked with a new mission: the eradication of those that bare the Cursed Seal of Minato Sarutobi. Shinobi are trained to fight in groups to defeat the overwhelming power of their targets. Some are trained more intricately, using interrogation, torture and deduction to hunt down those attempting to hide in the masses. Some shinobi hardly need training. Either their instincts are naturally honed for their task or their cold-hearted ruthlessness bring them too much joy to be bad at it.
Some Shinobi do not wish for the life of a hunter, although that is what Kiyomeru will focus on. Some Shinobi use the treatise of technology established by the armistice to salvage and restore lost technology from sites such as Orochimaru's lost hideouts or the ruins of Amegakure?all of which were off-limits during the Era of the Daimy?. More unique than these research-oriented Shinobi are the leaders of this era. Shinobi from all Lands and Villages are permitted to ally with each other in unconventional groups to hunt down the Cursed. Some leaders specialize specifically in these cross-culture groups and they aid the preservation of the peace. Some, however, are purists and reject help from Lands not their own.
This is the story of those Shinobi that lived, fought and even died during this Era. The Shinobi that were deemed Cursed Seal Hunters and would become some of the most revered veterans in the world. These Shinobi would forge the new legends to replace the ones lost during the absolution of Shinobi culture. Some Shinobi would go down in myth. They would become the idols that young Genin aspired to become. This is the era that Shinobi could be what future generations would dream to be. This era would also give birth to the nightmares of veterans, the worst-case scenarios of future tacticians and the arguments against ever removing Minato Sarutobi from power. The Purge has begun.
