Multiple little plots may be occurring. The rp's will be divided by lines such as the one below, though only 2-3 at a time may occur. Once muse is lost, we can find a way to wrap it up smoothly. Kind of like One-shots or short stories! If we want to continue or base something off the same thing, we can always pick it back up~!

The dragon-hybrid gave a soft whine, curling in closer to himself as his wings twitched around him, encircling himself as best as they could as he curled in. His tail laid between his legs, tip twitching softly. He was fast asleep in his hybrid form, though that didn't seem to stop his mind from reeling. He hadn't had downtime to think about everything going on, but now that he was asleep next to the dying fire, he couldn't block away from the thoughts. The memories. The way they repeated on a loop. Memories that hadn't surfaced in fucking forever and now they were haunting him. Memories of home.

He shifted in his sleep, this time letting out a small guttural mumble. "Hands....off.." The worlds were hardly audible from how throaty it came out; his face screwing up tightly.

Katsuki didn't wake immediately. He shifted in his sleep until he'd rolled over some, causing the space between him and the dragon to lessen and for his shoulder to bump the other's. At the mumbling, Kat's eyes did snap open. Words. It was always words that ended up waking him. That or touch, or some sort of combination of the two, that was often the worst. It only took him a moment to blink the sleep from his brain and to sit up, limbs going stiff as he leaned over the curled up form of Kirishima beside him. His first instinct was to fight off whatever was causing the dragon such obvious distress, but he ended up feeling quite silly upon realizing that it was nothing more than an internal battle. That wasn't something he was any good at dealing with. But looking at Kiri make such sad noises...

He reached out with one hand and laid a feather-light touch to the space between his shoulder blades, right between his wings. It was still so strange to see him like this, despite everything. It was going to take some getting used to. A lot of things were.

"Kiri, ah, Ei." He stumbled over his words as he whispered, putting just the slightest bit of pressure behind the hand between his wings. "Wake up. You're dreaming." He didn't really know what he was supposed to do. This was usually when Ei would be waking him up; one hand in his hair, the other clasped tight around his own, maybe humming something. He always found it easy to go right back to sleep that way. He always knew he was safe when he felt the familiar weight of a hand in his. His fingers twitched as the idea came to him, but with the way Kiri was curled in on himself, facing away from him, there wasn't any way he could reach over and try to blindly root around for his hand in the dying light of the fire. He frowned and hoped Kiri would perhaps wake on his own.

He went on with the whines and low mumbling for a few minutes, his twitching increasing a little by the time Katsuki had taken notice. His face moved to bury into the ground below, trying to hide his face from whatever was going in his head. His mumbling continued with different phrases. Some not even human-sounding, but thick draconic or even Eloic as Katsuki would call it.

Slitted eyes snapped open suddenly to the loud voice that overcast the duller ones in his mind. One that sounded way too close for comfort; the touch the blond gave caused his body to shudder in response. To the hand placed in between his wings, they furled open, expanding from where they had wrapped themselves around the dragon to keep himself sheltered and warm. Quite possibly smacking the blond while that happened as they outstretched, but that wasn't even a concern of his right now. Right now, it was just gearing in his mind that someone was touching him. And the dragon instincts from within were screaming to get away from the danger that had just plagued his mind. He was out in the open! Vulnerable! A guttural growl that was deep and low came from the bottom of his throat, a tactic to try and scare away whatever was disturbing him. It didn't even sound human in the slightest.

The dragon was quick to sit up, gathering his limbs from under him and jerking away. He whipped around, staying crouched on his four limbs as he let out another warning growl to his intruder, teeth bared as his slitted eyes narrowed. He looked and acted way too animalistic to even be considered human right now. His heart hammered in his chest as he glared at the attacker's figure through the darkness, pressing his wings close to his sides to protect the vital parts of himself. He slowly backed away, or well sidestepped away, closer to the fire. The red scales that littered his body reflected the dimming light, casting shadows where the light didn't quite reach. It gave the hybrid an eery and ominous look. Threatening.

Katsuki jerked back, hand that had been touching Kiri now suspended in the air as he used his other hand to support himself so he wouldn't fall over. He willed his heart to stop hammering, his breath not to hiccup and his hands not to shake. That was the last thing either of them needed right now.

Staring at the hybrid form before him, it brought back memories. Flashes of a crowd, of noise, of a much larger version of this, a much more animalistic version, hovering over him. Of fire. Of maybe not fire exactly, but the idea of it. The idea of it being so close, the smell of the smoke, the heat against your skin. He couldn't say he wasn't scared. But he also knew he could move past that fear.

Because past all of that, all of that fear that was choking him and holding him hostage, he looked at Kiri and he saw home. He saw what was really there. So he made his hand into a fist to stop the shaking and then crawled forward slowly, just a few inches. He didn't reach out, knowing that it would be seen as aggressive. He could see it in the dragon's eyes, the way he wasn't quite there. No need to aggravate him further.

"It's Kats." He swallowed, voice coming out breathy and low. "It's Tsuki. No one is going to hurt you, okay? I'm not going to hurt you." He sat down, crossed his legs and fisted his hands in his lap, making himself small and unassuming. "See? I'm just sitting here, I'm not doing anything. Put the claws away."

He wanted to appear nonthreatening, but at the same time, his eyes stayed firmly fixed to the dragon hybrid's every move. It wouldn't do any good to either of them if those claws ended up piercing skin.

His chest remained close to the ground, tail flicking back and forth in wariness as he stared the blond down, the rumbling in his throat quieting down, but still present. His breathing was evident, heavy and short, almost as if he was panicked. Which, was probably the case as the nightmares from his sleep edged his consciousness. They slowly dissipated, leaving the hybrid looking and seeming confused and scared. He wasn't sure what was going on and it frightened him. He swallowed some, mouth feeling like it was full of cotton and dry.

Ei's eyes locked onto Katsuki, watching every little movement the blond made, deciphering them quietly in his head as to whether or not he was an actual threat. As he spoke, it seemed to all click together and the dragon made a different noise. Not quite a growl, but something similar. With that noise in his throat, the dragon stood up from his crouched position, stretching his wings, and lunged.

He threw himself in the humans' direction with his claws outstretched, glinting in the light and--.

Scaly arms firmly wrapped themselves around Katsuki's frame, the dragon clinging to him with a sound that was almost like a cat purring. Just, more throaty and rough. And following it, a brief whine with a shudder to compliment it. Ei buried his face into the crook of Katsuki's neck for comfort; eyes squeezing shut as he nuzzled his nose gently against where a scent gland typically would've been for a dragon. Right below the ear, going along the vein. He was careful with his claws or at least tried to be as he embraced Katsuki; he may have left a few scratches in an attempt to grab purchase of him as he awkwardly lay over his lap, trying to search for that calming scent. But all he found was that familiar smell of burnt caramel from his mana and the usual smell of Katsuki. Deep and rich, almost earthy smelling with a hint of spice. Maybe Cinnamon?

Having just the smell of the other would do for him, despite the absence of a calming scent. He learned to find comfort from just that alone with the time they spent together, as long as he focused on just that, it worked just as well. Softly, he was unable to help a whine from escaping him as his tail curled around their forms, the tip resting behind Katsuki. He mumbled something, though it was too throaty and too dragon-sounding to be audible or understood to any human unless they took the time to listen or learn.

Katsuki would be lying if he said the initial leap towards him hadn't thrown him for a loop. He had seen the recognition in Kiri's eyes, had started to relax as he felt the danger was passing. And then suddenly Kiri had the claws out again and he could only- "Hey, I said no claws-!" But the air was knocked out of him as the dragon proceeded to wrap his arms around him and send them both tumbling to the ground. He barely caught himself as the dragon made a noise that went straight to his heart, paining him more than he ever thought anything could. "Hey, hey, hold up-" He couldn't orient himself properly as Ei started nuzzling into his neck. Once, this would have sent Bakugo into a panic, but now he found that it simply made his cheeks warm. "Hey, I've got you, okay? I got you, you're okay, you're alright." He frowned at himself even as one hand came up to trail soothingly along the space between Kiri's wings with his fingertips. He was seriously never going to get any better at it. The whole comforting someone thing. Even if that someone happened to be the most important person in his life. Ugh.

The purring, despite the situation, immediately set him at ease. He was honestly kind of embarrassed by that fact, not being able to help the way a sigh rushed out of him and his muscles started to relax. It was like a subconscious trigger at this point, something that instantly told him 'Safe. You're safe.'. At the continuing of Ei rubbing his face in the crook of his neck, he fought hard against the flush rising to his cheeks and put one hand in the dragon's hair to try and bring the movement to a steady stop. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, there's nothing there." He didn't fully understand everything about how dragons worked, but he knew that Ei was searching for a scent gland, the same he had on his own neck. Kats tried to block out the pang he felt at not being able to provide the comfort he was seeking. "I'm sorry, shh. Hm?" He asked the dragon absentmindedly about the mumbling as he continued his ministrations, rocking his body a little now as he kept his steady string of whispers going.

The touch to his back was so relaxing, he untensed immediately, his wings very gently twitching and doing a slow half-flap before lowering down his back. His skin tingled underneath the blond's touch, goosebumps going along where he trailed. Another whine creeped out from him as Katsuki put a hand in his messy and unkempt hair to try and stop his nuzzling. He hadn't really put much care into doing his hair up lately, considering he was going back and forth from dragon to human too often. (Even though his hair didn't change when he shifted, it was just an excuse of his). Not to mention he had bathed in the river earlier that day after accidentally rolling in mud when trying to hunt. He simply didn't want to stop, even if there wasn't a gland there. The action alone with the smell of the other was more than enough for him. So, he wasn't really sure why he was apologizing or saying there was 'nothing there.' Sure there was. Everyone had scent glands. Just....not as prominent or useful. The smell of the other was still there. It confused him, but he didn't have it in him to question anything right now. He simply just wanted to sit here, listen to the way Katsuki's voice spoke so lowly to him, and cause a fluttering within him. Sit here and just let his body flow with the rocking of their bodies as Katsuki calmed him.

He didn't respond to the question, just attempting to try and shift in Kats lap, moving so he was draped over his lap instead so it wasn't as uncomfortable. He rested the side of his head on Katsuki's shoulder, keeping his nose against the skin of the other as he closed his eyes; inhaling and basking in the others' addictive smell. If only Katsuki knew how much it affected him, even without him having scent glands or being within his society's' ranking' system. It didn't even rank them anymore, but there wasn't much else to call it.
He swallowed again, focusing in on the sound of Kats's heartbeat, that was easily detectable with trained ears. It's thrumming soothed him with everything else the prince was doing to keep him relaxed and comforted. Though despite all that, his grip around the prince remained tight. Like his life depended on it and if he let go, that was it. The purring he was emitting only grew louder before fading off into nothing as he decided to try and speak.

With a shaky breath, Kiri finally managed out a small mumble, barely able to make it understandable with his thick accent of his people that was suddenly prominent.
"S.....orr....ee...?" he cleared his throat, scrunching up his face against Kats's neck as if he wasn't pleased with how he sounded. He breathed out a warm breath and tried again. "W...hy...
S...s....orr....RRR..y...?"
He seemed annoyed with himself and his speech pattern, letting out a tiny huff of aggravation as he coddled up to Katuski and nuzzled him again briefly. He had completely disregarded any recollection of what the blond had told him once before about his neck. And really, he could care less. Katsuki wouldn't do anything to stop him, nothing too forceful that was.

When Kirishima tried to speak and then immediately went back to burrowing into his neck, Bakugo couldn't help the somewhat distressed sigh he emitted as he once again tried to bring the motion to a stop. It's not that it necessarily bothered him, the touching or the movement. It was the idea of it. The idea of Kirishima trying to find something that he simply did not have. Wanting something he simply could not give. That's what was driving his heartbeat to go faster, making his throat close up and his mouth turn into a deep frown that he was glad the other couldn't see as pain overwhelmed him. The pain of feeling like he was failing Kiri somehow. As dumb as the feeling was. That was he was failing him just by existing as a human and not as a dragon.

At Kiri's question, he hummed, the answer on his tongue but struggling to come out. He sighed again, the hand attempting to stall Kiri's motions by cupping the back of his head giving up and starting to card through his hair instead. "Sorry 'cuz, uh." He couldn't bring himself to say it. It just felt so pathetic. "Just sorry. I don't like seeing you upset." That was sort of the truth, if anything. He couldn't lie to Kiri, it was something almost physically impossible at this point, but he could tell half-truths. He could omit answers. "Here." He said softly, unable to keep the hint of distress from his tone. He reached for one of Kiri's arms and loosened the dragon's grip on him just enough to be able to snatch his hand, twining their fingers together and holding on firmly. It was more for him than for Kiri, if he was being honest. There was something about holding his hand that was always his go-to comforting option.

He decided if he couldn't comfort Kiri in a dragon way, he was going to try and do it in the best human way possible. He tilted his head to the side just enough so that his cheek was pressed to Kiri's head, rubbing just a little in a slight imitation of a nuzzle. Bakugo wasn't much of a nuzzler if he could help it (he was embarrassed about that kind of thing, still), so even this much was a big step for him. Showing this much affection. It was still growing on him. He let the hand in Kiri's hair move to between Kiri's wings once again and then to trail to one of the actual wings itself, still caught off guard a bit by the texture of it, the way it felt on his hands, but not disliking it. The skin and scales there were smooth and rough all at once, cool to the touch. It was nice. He focused on that. "Would you like to go back to sleep? I can hold you." The words were easier to get out than he thought they might be. Expressing himself, saying things...he was getting there.

Ei couldn't help the small pout forming on his face as he took note of the way Katsuki reacted to him nuzzling for comfort. He promptly stopped, not really giving into halting because of Kats's efforts, but simply because he seemed to remember himself and his actions, feeling a bit bad about it. He didn't want to make the other uncomfortable with what he didn't understand or could and couldn't do! He shifted his head a little, creating a bit of distance between his head and Katsuki's neck, letting out a tiny sound of discontent. The discontentment that Katsuki wasn't able to comfort him how a normal dragon would. And that was mostly his dragon-side thinking, but he would never hold that above Kats head personally. He couldn't help it and that was okay. Kiri knew the sacrifices. And he was okay with them. He was okay with just having to base his only comfort off of nothing but his identifiable scent! It was just the fact that he wanted more. He wanted Katsuki's scent to be stronger even at this close of proximity. And the only way he seemed to be able to do that was actively rubbing his nose against where the scent was the strongest that he could actually touch. But he didn't want to make Katsuki uncomfortable with his actions. Not when he couldn't even understand the connection or feeling it gave.

The pout relaxed softly against his face as he felt the hand on his head start to play with his hair. He let out a soft hum, feeling his scalp tingle to the touch. Katsuki's fingers could work wonders against his scalp. Another noise came from him as Katsuki gave him a response, his head shifting a little so his chin rested on Katsuki's shoulder. He allowed his arm to be moved despite the voice in his head protesting heavily against it. The distress in his lover's voice made his heart skip a beat in slight fear. Fear that he may be causing some sort of anxiety in the prince and causing him to doubt himself. Kiri gladly accepted the hand, returning the tight grip with his own clawed hand. His cheeks grew warm to the small gesture, unable to help the shifting of his head again as he shifted his position. He shifted so his head lay against Bakugo's chest, his body draping across his lap with his legs hanging off Kats's own leg. His tail curled at his side, laying limply. Kiri leaned up into the nuzzle, purring starting back up at Katsuki's efforts. It made his heart leap knowing the other was genuinely trying rather than shutting himself out like he used to. He loved it when they were alone and Kats would start opening up, little by little. It made his heart thump and his dragon purr in content to feeling his lover's affection. They had come such a long way!

A shudder trailed down his spine and his wing twitched under the sudden touch of a warm and calloused hand. Without even thinking about it, he stretched out his wing, allowing the gentle touches to the sensitive and leathery skin. His tail flickered in growing content now. That was until Katuski mentioned 'sleep'. The dragon let out a loud and drawn out whine, abruptly shaking his head no and attempting to bury his face further into Katsuki's chest. He was all for him holding him! He could have Katuski hold him all night! But sleep was something he wouldn't be doing again for a little while. Fear crept back up into him, and he huffed loudly in an attempt to cover up the shake of his breath.

Was this how Katuski felt during his nightmares? He'd had his own fair share growing up but...these were different. They felt too real. Too vivid.

"Okay, we don't have to sleep. We can just do this. Anything you want." His words were soft in a way they never were before. Never were when he was still a closely watched Prince, still a mess of a human. Which was still true, he was still a mess. But now he was a mess who had the emotional capacity to express love towards someone else and not immediately have to cover it up with something horrible. "I know it's hard to make them go away." He started once a long silence had fallen, his voice even and sure, none of the distress from earlier. He closed his eyes and simply focused on letting his one hand card through Kiri's hair and the other trail along the edges of his outstretched wing. It was calming, to focus on something so mundane, really. Just the rhythm of his movements, the sound of Ei's purrs. "This. This usually helps me. But if you-" There it was, the crack in his voice he had been expecting to come at any time. The thoughts of inadequacy once again rooted around inside of his brain, but he tried to block them out. "If you need something...more. We can...figure it out. I just want to make you feel safe."

He sighed through his nose and moved his head down just enough to press a firm kiss to the top of Kiri's head before withdrawing and gazing off at nothing, eyes drooping a bit. He had just barely drifted off when Kiri's fit had woken him up. He felt lucky that he hadn't been having one of his own because then they would probably be doing anything but cuddling at the moment (and by that, he means anything involving blood and terrible decision making). He could feel his eyes trying to shut on him as the purring combined with the body heat Kirishima was transferring his way, did nothing to make staying awake any easier.

His breath hitched to the way Katsuki spoke, cheeks growing even hotter to the gentle tone. Butterflies fluttered in his gut to the way he spoke to him, a small churr mixing in with the purrs sounding out. Katsuki only ever showed this side to him. A side that Kirishima had seen in him from the very beginning. It was just trapped under years and years of suppression and toxic behaviors that had been drilled into his very being. All respect for the queen that deemed herself his mother had been lost for the dragon. He wasn't quite sure if Katsuki knew that yet or not, but he was sure it was evident from the way he would react anytime someone briefly even mentioned her.

He'd immediately become grumpy or hostile, and most of the time he'd end up having to walk away before doing something brash. Which, wasn't in the character of himself at all. So he was really confused on the whole matter himself but figured it was probably just him being protective over the blond. It was a very touchy subject for them both, and they had every reason for it to be.

He sighed softly as the silence was once again broken by Katsuki and he briefly nodded his head, acknowledging him silently. He shivered from both the hand in his hair and the one on his wing. It felt strange having his wings touched. It was very foreign, but he didn't mind it. The bone-tight skin twitched under his touch, the end of his wing flickering back and forth in response. He lifted his head, tilting it slightly to the side as he picked up on the distress re-entering Katsuki's tone. He gave the hand he was holding a gentle squeeze for the comfort of the other.

His heart hammered at his words and he couldn't help a happy whine and then a grunt as he tried to speak again. " 's.......fi....ne..." A pause. "S....afe....al...re....ready."

He was becoming increasingly annoyed with himself, showing it with a frown as he let out a tiny huff. He hated when the dragon side of him acted up like this. It was like he was having to force the words out, or learning how to speak again. He puffed his cheeks a tiny bit at the thought, only to churr and purr louder to the kiss to his head. He leaned up and softly nipped at Katsuki's jaw bone, nuzzling under his chin for a moment. He moved back to stare up at his face and gave a small look of concern as he realized the expression on Kats's face.

'Stubborn ass.' , he thought with a displeased frown.

Kiri leaned all his weight into Kats, gently attempting to knock them over so Katsuki was laying on his back with himself sprawled on top. He curled up on Katsuki's frame, allowing both wings to stretch over them and lay on either side of them, trapping the heat of their bodies underneath them. He nuzzled into his chin again and placed the crown of his head under his chin. Kiri closed his own eyes, letting his purrs fill the air, knowing exactly how this was affecting Katsuki. Just because he didn't want to sleep didn't mean Katsuki had to stay awake. Besides. It would probably be better if one of them kept watch anyhow.

Katsuki hit the ground with a little 'oof' as Kiri shifted their weight. He let the dragon orient himself atop him, huffing a little in amusement as he realized what he was doing. He was trying to suppress a smile as he encircled his arms around Kiri's middle to hug him closer, "You know, it's not fair to use that against me." He was referring to the purring. It was honestly a little upsetting how easily it made him just wanna close his eyes and drift off! Shit! Even as a pout found it's way to his face, he still pressed his nose into Kiri's hair and inhaled, letting his eyes close. It was really only when they were like this, curled up together, heartbeats syncing, that he ever truly felt at peace. That the thoughts in his head ever really quieted. "I'll stay up. If you need me to." His words came out more of a mumble than anything, nose still buried in Kiri's hair. "But if you don't," Yawn, "just wake me when it's time to go."

It had honestly been a long time since he had last fought Eijiro on sleeping. It used to be something they dealt with nightly, but now he was more than comfortable with drifting off to the rumble of purrs against his throat and chest. It was cold, a bit, near the receding warmth of the fire, so he couldn't help a shiver as he moved one hand to feel for the cloak he'd haphazardly tossed on the ground much earlier that night. He pulled out from under them and threw it atop Kiri without bothering to straighten it out and then hugged him just a little tighter, relaxing once again. "You're warm, but fuck, it's freezing tonight. Why the fuck were you not already being my blanket."

Kiri sounded out a brief churr as if he was protesting against Katsuki's statement and acting innocent. What was he talking about! Pft, he wasn't using anything against him! He let out a tiny hum to respond, flickering his tail mischievously. It was totally fair, actually. He nuzzled his cheek into Kat's chest as his hair was nuzzled into, listening to the soothing thrum of his heartbeat. It was a sound Kiri could never get tired of listening to. And it reminded him of home. All of Katsuki did. He couldn't wait to show Katsuki the land where he came from. Just thinking about it filled him with excitement!

He thoughts were halted though once Katsuki spoke quietly. He shook his head to signal no. Katsuki sounded tired enough. There was no point in keeping him awake. They needed him well-rested for tomorrow. He made this point by simply allowing his purrs to just completely intensify, growing louder to the point they were as loud as they could possibly go. He blinked open his eyes with a questioning sound that halted the purrs as he lifted his head to peek up at Katsuki just as the blanket was tossed over him. His eyes glowed in the dark of the cloak, staring at Kats in a wide and curious fashion. Kirishima couldn't help the bubbling giggle from his throat as he laid his head back down, purrs starting up again as he snuggled into Katsuki. It wasn't that cold to him, not yet at least. His inferno was actually well charged lately, so his body temperature was warmer than most. It felt nice to finally be who he truly was. After years of suppression, he truly was free and most importantly, happy. Happy that someone understood him and still loved him.

A loud sigh of content came from him as he curled up even more against Katsuki and under the cloak, feeling his tight embrace. The warmth from them both and now the blanket was so tempting. So tempting to just close his eyes and sleep. But he refused, simply for the fact that he could just lay here and listen to Katsuki's breathing and heart, and just bask in the moment.

He rumbled out quietly, his voice soft, "Niigh..t....Tsuki..."

It didn't take long for Kats to pass out after that, too comfortable under the heat of both the dragon and his cloak to do anything other than just completely check out mentally. He wished he could say he was awake for Kiri to say goodnight to him, but his brain had already taken the permission to sleep and ran with it. He closed his eyes again and his whole body relaxed as he inhaled the scent surrounding him. It was faint, but he could still smell it, even as a human, now that he knew there was something to look for. It wasn't calming scent, it was different. Like a base scent that Ei smelled like all the time, even if Kats could really only just barely smell it when he was so close to him.

But even then, he reveled in it. And even more so, when Ei did use his calming scent. At first, when he'd found out, he'd been a little scared. Everything suddenly clicking together at the simple explanation, everything suddenly coming to light as he thought about it. It had terrified him at first. He'd honestly thought Ei was manipulating him, something he'd kept to himself mostly, a dark thought reserved to a dark corner of his mind. But he knew better now. It wasn't any of that. It was just an attempt to help, to comfort.

He tightened his arms a little and buried his nose deeper into Kiri's hair as his last thoughts were of how much he enjoyed being curled up with him.

He didn't have a nightmare, per se, but at some point during the early morning hours, his eyes snapped open and he stared upwards with a faraway look. His whole body went rigid for a moment and his hands clenched with nails threatening to dig into Ei's skin- but he caught himself. It was becoming easier to do that, catch himself, these days. So he blinked, inhaled, and exhaled. And then he took one look at Ei and started to pepper little kisses to his hair, not bothering to check if the other was awake still. One of his hands went from tight around Ei's middle to trailing down his back in that soothing motion he'd done earlier. And then he was closing his eyes again. They didn't have to be up until the sun was just a tiny bit higher. He could afford to get some more shut-eye, even if just a little. "Love your stupid hair." He muttered almost bitterly (unless you knew him and then you knew it wasn't bitterness, but the fact that he was flustered) as he finally began to drift off again. He couldn't quite bring himself to tell Ei he loved him, even now, after everything, so he always settled for saying he loved...things. Things about him. Things he did or said. But never him. He didn't know why, but every time he went to say it. He'd lock up. And he'd say something else entirely. Feelings were shit.

The dragon made it an effort to not move as much once he picked up on the steady breathing and rhythmic beating of Katsuki's heart, telling him he was asleep. His tail tip flickered slowly next to them, a fist gently resting against his own face as he remained curled up. He was so content laying here with the other, basking in the moment and engraving it into his memory. It was always the little things for Ei when it came to Katsuki. It wasn't hard to please him in the slightest when it came to the blond. Hell, all Katsuki had to do was look at him a certain way or speak to him in a certain tone, and it was like he melted right there on the spot. Even if Katsuki was bad at expressing himself, Ei almost always knew what he meant.

Their short time together, Ei had learned a lot. He learned mostly, how to differentiate Kats's tone from what he truly meant behind his words. So the other wasn't good at tones but that's okay. The words are what mattered, Ei had come to realize. And it didn't matter how everyone else heard it, because it wasn't for them. It was for him. Him alone. The dragon let out a gentle noise, almost like a whine, a content whine. He nuzzled the bare skin of Katsuki's chest softly, inhaling his addicting scent again. It was all around him with the blanket on top and the blond below. It put him at immediate ease, calming any anxieties he seemed to have when he let his mind wander and overthink.

At some point, Ei had started drifting in and out of consciousness as he lay there listening to the soft breathing of Katsuki and to the wilderness around them. The faint sound of crickets, frogs, and toads, an occasional hoot of an owl, or the screech of a small bat, all of them were detectable by his pointed ears. By early morning, he was still drifting, his lips parted slightly as he remained in a light doze. Feeling the other tense underneath him, Eijiro shifted his wings and carefully nuzzled up into his chin again, reminding him that he was right here, and he wasn't going anywhere. Letting out another soft sound, his golden eyes blinked open half-lidded to the kisses peppering the top of his head. His body twitched under the hand of his lover, letting out a small relaxed hum. He couldn't help but press closer, if that was even possible, to Katsuki's frame.

His hands always made it feel like there was electricity behind it, racketing his body gently and making it tingle in his touch's wake. His wings twitched a little as he tried to suppress a gentle shudder. As Kats mumbled to him, his heart leaped in his chest, unable to help a small smile from gracing his lips lazily. "Love yours more.." he whispered back, his speech finally normal again. The bitter tone he gave only made Ei's heart leap even more. He knew that tone so well now, he could detect it without so much second thought. Not to mention the sleepy tone that made his voice lazy and sound gruffer than it normally was, his stomach flitted with butterflies. He knew what he meant when he told him he loved something about him, well he somewhat assumed he knew what he meant. The other seemed to trip up every time he went to say what he truly wanted, and Ei could see the struggle. He quietly pondered to himself on ways to maybe make it easier for them both. He couldn't see why they had to specifically say that phrase..right? They could use something else, like a codeword of sorts?

At that, his eyes snapped open to his idea, face lighting up. He shifted a little ontop of Kats, resting his chin on his chest and starting up to his face as he thought about it, suddenly smiling. Maybe that could work? Not saying that specific phrase but...maybe...just maybe...
He breathed quietly through his nose, shifting upwards so his head rested on Kats's shoulder now, settling down for the next few hours before they had to wake.

The sun was sitting above the trees by now, the dawn sky starting to grow lighter. Ei let out a quiet yawn, stretching out his limb and wings with a small grunt. He took a glance up to Katsuki's resting face, admiring him for a few minutes and leaning up to press a soft peck to his cheek. He very carefully detangled himself without waking the other. The dragon carefully draped the cape back over Katsuki, parting away so he can stand up and properly stretch. Now that he was up, he figured now would be a good time to go hunt or stake out a town that might be nearby. They'd been in the woods for a couple of days and they were starting to run low on supplies, he noted. He looked to the pile of stuff laying nearby, pursing his lips a little bit, huffing. He didn't mind the town visits but..it was always anxiety-inducing for him to think about. One of these days they'd be recognized, he could feel it.
With a huff, Kiri shook it away and quickly shifted into his smaller dragon form. He let out a tiny chirp, taking a glance at Katsuki for a moment, making sure he was settled, and then bounding off into the woods. He headed East as he followed a peculiar scent, tracking it to its source.
