Kira's Cravings.

FactionParadox

The 'flow' is always a calamity.
((Death Note RP between me and Vendetta Ace.))

Light sat in front of the computer terminal, bored. The Kira case was as disinteresting as usual, considering he knew exactly who was killing all the criminals. He glanced over at Ryuk, the Shinigami who "gave" him his instrument of mass murder. He then diverted his glance to Misa and Rem, who was holding the metaphorical gun to his head. In his honest opinion, Misa was stupid, promiscuous and infuriatingly disobedient. He was trying to keep both of them alive, which was difficult because she was so idiotic. The only reasons he kept her alive was because he needed her Shinigami eyes to see "Ryuuzaki",s name, and secondly because Rem would kill him if he killed her. He then looked at L, his equal. He was out for his blood, but there was something oddly attractive about him. He could satisfy Light in ways that no other could, namely on an intellectual level. Every other partner he had was nowhere near as clever as L. Since Misa was unfullfilling as a partner, he decided on a little love triangle of sorts, only without L going for Misa. If he became romantically involved with his nemesis, he might just learn his name, with enough manipulation. It couldn't hurt to try, it had been a while since he had done something so... Interesting. He turned the raven-haired teen. "Ryuuzaki..."

"Light-kun," L acknowledged, not exactly looking at the younger male. He was about 95% sure that Light was Kira. The only reason he never said so was because of A) that 5% and B) he liked Light too much. He knew that personal feelings should never be involved in cases that are based on hard facts, though he couldn't help but to feel for his first and only friend. He squeezed his knees in an attempt to reassure himself that what he was doing wasn't that bad, only it was, therefore he couldn't shake the feeling of guilt.

"Are you going to finish that slice of cake?" Light asked, his sugar cravings that he usually suppressed beginning to creep out as the apparently endless night dragged on, with nothing much happening. He sipped his black coffee and looked at the strawberry and cream sponge, knowing that if Sayu had eaten that she would be bouncing off the walls like a rubber ball, she was difficult enough to deal with as it is.

L looked up at Light, questioning his over friendliness. He then looked down to his cake, longingly. He then turned back to Light and held out his plate for him to take.

"I suppose...for you, Light-kun, I can share."

"Thank you, L." Light said as he took it, cutting a bit off and eating. It was very sweet, and it sent Light's brain into overdrive. He hadn't had as much as sugar in his coffee for a year, and now all this sugar was going to become one big rush. "L... I need to go to my room for a bit..." He said, needing to do something to relieve the immense rush.

"You do not handle sugar well, Light-kun," L said over his shoulder. "And because I shared my cake does not mean I should be referred to as anything other than Ryusaki. Also, keep in mind the building is under surveillance, do not embarrass yourself, Light-kun."

"Please tell me it isn't in the toilets..." Light said, what he was planning to do was not exactly something he wanted anyone to see... Hopefully L wouldn't do that... Wait, this was L he was talking about, he has almost no sense of social decency.

"Light-kun, it would be stupid not to go all the way, I mean, going only part way would be stupid. You know that. Why don't you just go for a jog, I'll come with you." L suggested, completely aware of what Light was planning to do.

"Alright, Ryuuzaki." Light said, putting his old trainers on. Why he wanted to go for a jog was beyond Light, but whatever got it out of his system.

Once they made it outside and began running, L turned to Light and said, "it just occurred to me. I don't run." He slowed his pace until he was just slouching in his tennis shoes on the sidewalk, awkwardly staring at Light.
