Jessica felt random arms and then a body hit her as she luckily landed on a hay. "AH-!" It was Eden on top of her. "Well then stop your conversation and let's go before the sun goes down! There's not gonna be an adventure if we're just standing here!" She crossed her arms as Eden brushed the access hay off her and fixing her hat. She flipped her hair and grabbed a nice orange sun umbrella. She strutted out the gates elegantly with her heeled shoes made loud noises on the concrete. "You better catch up before I get away."


Jessica crossed the bridged and went straight for the village, not stopping. "We're going to the town~ We're going to the town~" She sang excitedly. She loved to look at the town people and how they were always happy and gleeful but once she left the bridge, it was a bit gloomy. It wasn't AS joyful as she remembered it. Don't get her wrong, they're still joyful but there was a hint of of fear in the crowd which made Jessica worried herself. "What's wrong with the people... the sun is shining bright but they're not as happy as they were used to be...?" She looked up at Ayame and Eden as she continued strolling through the Kingdom.

(*facepalm*) Eden sighed and walked after her, looking around for any signs of danger. "Don't talk to anyone prince- I Jessica.." It was important that nobody found out who she was while they were out. He looked to Ayame. "How are you today, Ayame?" He asked in his usual friendly tone.

Jessica rolled her eyes as her question was ignored by Eden. She just stood behind them as Eden looked over at Ayame, conversing once again and then looked over at Ayame, waiting for her reply. She just followed behind them quietly as they walked so slow. She clenched her umbrella tightly as she felt impatient but she didn't want to say anything. She just looked down, bangs and hat covering her face. I don't want to be babysat... I'm almost fifteen... I'm a grown woman... Jessica groaned softly and then looked back up to the clear blue sky. It seemed a lot prettier when to Jessica when she was actually on the ground. She smiled and continued walking behind Eden and Ayame, snickering softly to herself as she had a thought.


"You know you don't always have to be with me.... you can have your free time... I don't want to be a burden. I swear I'll be fine... Go, you guys are always working. Please have your own free time. I beg of you." Jessica sputtered out her mouth as she looked at both Ayame and Eden.

Eden looked back to the girl. "Are you crazy? Free time is for when you are safe inside the castle walls, not out here." He sighed. "And the people are not happy because of the war. I have no doubt in my mind that we will win, but it will be a long road, a huge burden for the entire kingdom to hold." He continued to spy around for any signs of danger, seeing nothing. "Alright, I think this is as far as we should go... Lets turn back now."

Jessica frowned and just stood there. "Is... Is that really it...?" Jessica just smiled. "Okay... If you say so.." She didn't want to cause any problems. She just turned around and headed back to the castle, twirling her sun umbrella. Plus, she felt as if she always placed to much on both their shoulders from the beginning. Ugh.... It sucks to be a part of the royal family.... you have no freedom... There's always a limit... She just skipped her way back to the castle. At least she got to go outside. She can't be greedy. It's either they really wanted to protect her or they wanted some freedom. Either way she didn't think much about it. She just accepted what she was given.

Everest listen to every word the king had to say. She really was not a bit fan of executions for she isn't too fond of killing. Pretty ironic, a knight who charges into battle that doesn't like killing. Everest really just wants to injure the Atherton scum so badly that they have to live the rest of their lives in pain, but not kill them. The knight readied herself to see another scum be killed till the king stopped right by the neck. Everest was confused but made sure not to show it and watched as the king turn to her.


Everest felt like her heart leaped out of her chest and armor when THE king actually handed the sword to her. Fortunately she always made sure to keep her composure but Everest really wanted to faint right there on the spot. The usually confident knight slowly walked up and picked up the sword for her lord's hand. She made her way to the spy and raised the sword ready to strike. @Jacob Berry

Richard backed up from Everest and the spy, putting his hands behind his back, watching the knight with his light blue eyes. He was curious as to see what the girl who was rather new to knighthood would do, "Kill him when you see fit, I'd suggest doing it sooner rather than later, the people nor I like to be waiting." He motioned for her to strike, to chop the poor sods' head off. He was begging and pleading for Everest not to do it, saying he had a family and a newborn child at home. The crowded cheered and yelled, asking for Everest to do it, they looked rabid with anticipation and bloodlust. Richard just looked at the spy in disgust, there was no mercy or even feeling in his eyes, just shame and disgust towards the man.

Ayame walked back with them, keeping her guard up. She felt bad for the princess. She had no freedom, she was stuck in the castle. Ayame sighed. "Princess, I know you are unhappy. But this is for your own good. There is a war going on, spies everywhere. Who knows what could happen to you."

Edeltraud was casually sitting on the throne as she listens to the general from left side of the table. "My excellency, we're running short on our spies as we-" Before the general could finish talking, she replied back to him. "I know. These spies are just only damaging the diplomatic relations, between Theiya and Atherton." She felt disappointed since some of the spies failed to do their best on gathering information. Her patience ran out and she burst in anger. "I will not tolerate here to just have my spies capable of failing!" She slams her hand on the manchette, complaining about the weak, insipid. "Do not just wait there, find me the finest spy in Atherton, right now!" She furiously yelled for the general's demand.

Everest thought to herself and right when the king gave the signal, she striked cutting the spy's head clean off in the middle of his pleading. She watched the body go limb and the head roll down to her metal boots. Everest stood there for a moment her eyes wide in horror and disgust. She had never beheaded someone and never wanted to do it ever again! The knight gain her composure before handing the king the sword back. Once he took it she gave a small bow in thanks and walked back to her spot without a word. 'I'm sorry dear spy of Atherton, but you should've thought twice before coming to Theiya...' @Jacob Berry

Eden walked with them into the castle, happy to be back. He was truly relieved. "Sorry, maybe we will come back out tomorrow for a bit longer... maybe! No promises..." Eden made sure nobody was following them back to the castle. After seeing nobody. "Hey, want to go to the Knight's Quarters? Its not much but its safe, in the castle grounds if you don't want to head back to your room yet. Plus, maybe Ayame and I can get some training done!" HE turned to Ayame exited. "You up for a spar?"

"Why not. I mean, do you really want to spar with me while the princess is here?" She asked then leaned in, whispering. "I always win.. and I wouldn't want you to embarrass yourself." Ayame said and pulled away, a smirk playing on her lips.

Richard broke the silence of the crowd as they were in awe of the beheading by clapping slowly for Everest, it was a proud moment for the King. Now that she witnessed that horror, she'd be ready for anything, and it proved she was reliable. Slowly walking towards the head, blood still splattering onto the wooden stage, he grabbed the head, it's eyes rolled back and tongue stuck out, "And this is what we do to spies, traitors and criminals!" Richard shouted, his voice was smooth though, almost... caring. Caring for his kingdom and his subjects. He threw the head into the crowd, and summoned the Knight-Commander, "Commander, whoever caught the head, give them 25 gold pieces."


Richard walked over to Everest, placing a hand on her shoulder, "You did good. It wasn't easy, but the world isn't an easy place." He offered an authentic smile, for killing always put him in a good mood.

"Hey, I know you always win! But Its always great practice for a guy like me!" As much as Eden usually got beat up he still enjoyed sparring. It was a way for him to relieve himself of stress and also fine tune his skills in a practical way. "Remember last time?! Haha, that was fun..." Last time the two had sparred Eden had almost had her, until she made the most incredible move, a series of blows with her feet and to his hand, disarming him swiftly. She truly was an incredible fighter, and Eden looked up to her.

She knew he looked up to her, and she liked it. Eden reminded her of her brother. She then ruffled his hair. "I look forward to sparring with you, Eden."

Everest did not feel so well. The image of the head just rolling down to her feet still fresh in her mind, and to add on that, having to see the head once more as the king held it for all to see. Everest wanted to vomit so badly but she was just gaining the king's trust and interests. How awful it would be to just toss her cookies all over the stage right in front of him! To avoid the thought of the head and how sick she felt, Everest closed her eyes for a minute. She knew it was quiet unprofessional for her to do but right now, she could give a damn about formalities.


Everest opened her eyes when she heard footsteps everywhere. 'Oh good, it's over.' She thought and opened her eyes to see the king coming over to her. Everest felt a bit better with the king's hand on her shoulder and was able to give the king a weak smile. "I-I understand m'lord." Was all she could muster out. After all of this, Everest just want to lie down in some hay and hangout with the horses. @Jacob Berry

"Awesome!" Eden was happy that she would let him spar with her, as he did not have all that much to add to the table. "You wanna come princess? You might learn some stuff and you never know when you're going to need to defend yourself!" Eden smiled walking to her. "You don't wanna go back to your room just yet do you?"

Richard offered a small nod, killing your first person, especially a beheading must have been sickening, of course, he wouldn't know. Richard relished the first time he killed someone, still, he had to act nice, though he did truly care. Perhaps it was hit parental instincts, he never had them with Cobalt since Cobalt was such an independent person. He slowly took his hand off her shoulder, "You may leave if you wish, you should rest on what happened today. I am inviting you to come to the Royal family's dinner tonight though." He turned on his heel, "It is your decision of course."
