Fantasy Kingdom's Vow (Opening)

Eden stood there, frozen. The King of Theiya... The King of Theiya had his hand on his shoulder. Eden stood there, frozen, unsure of what to do next.


The way he saw it, Eden had three options. Option one, to run, as fast as he could. He was fast, and could probably outrun any of the guards in their heavy armor, but they would come with horses. There was no way he would make it back to Atherton on foot without getting captured. And plus, Eden feared the thought of returning to Atherton without the Princess.It was his duty, and he would never live down running like a coward. He would probably be better off here, in Theiya. So, option one was out of the question.


Option two was to stab the king, through the heart. He was unsure if he could reach his sword from his position without being stopped by the King. The King's armor was heavy and he had no idea if he could get a critical hit on him in the short amount of time in which he had. Also, after that he was sure to be killed by the seemingly endless amounts of guards around him. Option two was a no go.


Option three was to do nothing. Go with the King to this dinner, hope not to be killed before h and Ayame could get the princess back to the safety of her kingdom. So, it seemed option three would be the choice.


Eden took a deep breath and looked the king right in the eyes. "Thank you for your kindness your lordship, I would be honored to attend a dinner with you." He dropped his sword to the ground.

Jessica walked up to the king and grabbed his wrist with her fingers that didn't even wrap around his wrist half way. She forced a pink promise on him as she interlocked her tiny pinky with his large pinky. "There! Now I won't lose my virginity!" Jessica exclaimed, not knowing what it meant but all she knew it was bad. At least she thinks it's bad. "Come on~ Let's go eat now! I'm hungry! I didn't get to eat dinner yesterday since I was on my way here and breakfast is almost ending!" She tugged gently at Uncle Richard's sleeve. "Let's talk about dinner later! It's hours away!" She smiled at Ayame and Eden brightly. "Thank you for coming to dinner with me and Uncle Richard on my birthday! I really love it when we have a big group of family and friends!" Jessica said excitedly as she cupped both her hands together. "O-Oh! Can Benjamin and Catie come too?" She pointed at her two horses. "Uncle Richard... Can I have a piggy back ride please...?" She looked up at him with puppy eyes, once again, her blue eyes sparkling with the sun as her hair shined smoothly. Jessica was all over the place. She just couldn't help her excitement. It was her birthday, she's going to have a huge dinner with a lot of family and friends. She just couldn't help but smile as her cheeks started to ache. She cupped both her cheeks, trying to stop. "O-Ow...."

Everest watched with furrowed brows as the kinghts try to get the princess back so they can go home. She still had her sword drawn but did not attack since the king made his appearance telling them not to attack. The girl she thought was a citizen ended up running over to the king calling him... Uncle?! She watched as the king pick up the girl and hold her high having a completely normal conversation like nothing was happening. 'Wait... I just touched the head of the princess of Atherton!' She thought and looked down at her hand like it was cursed or something. Everest snapped out of the thought and focused back on the king. Once he was done imviting the enemy knights to dinner she sat there completely confused about the everything now. Intruders come into Theiya and they get invited to dinner? And the princess of the awful country is her lord's niece?! She put her sword into it's holder but her hand never left the hilt. Everest was so busy trying to embrace the fact she'll be having dinner with the enemy she had no time to judge the stuttering fool of a knight before her.

Richard clapped his hands loudly, all conversation around them stopped as the crowd and knights look at Richard, he offered a smile to Eden, "Great! I am glad you could see reason! You are quite smart, boy." He leaned in whispered into Eden's ear and eyed Ayame, "Shame. I hoped you chose a different option... Killing you would've been fun." He turned around and let out a hearty chuckle, "Glad to see my Dinner won't be full of lords and whiny children!"


Richard looked down at Jessica as she pinky promised with him, ruffling her orange hair with a hand, "Good! That is something you should cherish, my dear." He remained silent as she went on and on though, knowing she wouldn't stop until she wanted too, "Of course the horses can come! You don't even need to ask. As for the piggy back ride, no, sorry. Perhaps later at dinner?" He offered his pinky this time, for another pinky promise, "Breakfast... I already had some."


Richard turned on his heel, "Knight Everest. Good job once again. At this rate you might become the finest knight in the land." He offered a warm smile, most would've believed it, playing this Facade for twenty years made him a master at it.

Ayame felt absolutely sick. She did not want to have dinner with Richard. He is the most ruthless man in all kingdoms. When she was a child her Aunt would scare her by ssying, "If you don't go to sleep, King Richard will come in the night and kidnap you!"


She despised this man, and now she's having dinner with him. Ayame also feared for Eden. He was only 15, she was afraid that he would break any second.

Eden froze speechless. How had he known of his option thinking? He then saw the smile of the princess and returned it with a fake one. After all this he still felt a bit bad for her, so deprived of the world, and now that she was seeing it it was a time of war. He sighed and looked to the stern looks of the knights surrounding them.
 
He looked to Ayame, he was scared, she could see it in his eyes, but he had always felt better around her. He walked to stand by her, finding comfort. "Sorry about all this... I should have watched the princess..." He sighed again and looked down.

"No, Eden. It was my fault. I shouldn't have even taken everyone out for drinks. I'm so stupid." She said and shook her head. "Eden, listen to me, I know you're scared but you must not show it. These people live off of fear. We have to make it out of here with the princess. You are strong, if we have to fight, be ready. Remember, I always got your back." She finished, smiling
 
Jessica gladly wrapped her pinky around the king's pinky. "Yay~" She turned around and looked over at Ayame and Eden. "Why are you both so down... cheer up a little... Uncle Richard promised not to hurt you guys and if he did, I'd lost my virginity! Uncle Richard isn't going to let me lose my virginity!" She placed her two pointer fingers at the end of her mouth and dragged them up. "Smile~! It's not the end of the world!" Jessica tried her best to keep her happy mood on but as she looked at how they apologized to each other, she wondered why they did. It wasn't any of their fault. If it was anyone's fault, it was hers and she knew that. "I'm gonna go stroll around the kingdom to look for a place to eat~ Bye bye!" Jessica waved to everyone and started to skipped down the town, looking for a place to eat.

Everest nodded in thanks when the king complimented her. She watched the King pinky promise the young princess not to hurt her knights which made her a bit disappointed, she really wanted to punch at least one of them. 'The king knows what he is doing.' Everest thought to herself and slowly moved her hand away from the hilt of her sword not wanting to break this pinky promise because she had an impulse and slice one of their legs off. She watched as the princess wander off into the town looking for something to eat. Everest stopped herself from glaring at the blonde girl for she didn't trust her at all. She was too happy and innocent for Everest. 'I got my eye on you princess.'
 
As Eden peered around at the knights he could not help but feel intimidated. As he coninued his looking he locked eyes with one of the knights. She was tall, and armed, but there was something in her eyes. A sort of firey passion, of love for her kingdom it seemed. She also seemed annoyed and on edge, not very friendly. Who was he kidding, why would a knight of Theiya be friendly to him, he was of Atherton. He quickly looked back to the ground, unsure of what else to to at the moment.

Richard put his leather clad hands behind his back, watching as Jessica wandered off, "That girl really hasn't changed at all. Still bubbly as always." He shook his head, hoping she didn't go into any of the bad parts of town. He walked over to Everest and put his hand onto her shoulder, whispering into her ear, "Keep it up and you might take Peter's Job." He paused, speaking loud enough for Eden to hear, "If he does anything rash or tries to take Jessica, you can kill him." He waved a hand dismissively, and the knights obeyed, all walking away, some stared at Eden like wild dogs staring at their pray.

Eden stayed strong, knowing he had Ayame to back him up if thibgs really went to shit. The guards all seemd like they were ready to pounce, to shake the life out of their pray, which eden knew was clearly him. He wanted to pick up his sword but did not want to stirr up trouble. Besides, he still had a few makeshift knives hidden away if he needed to fight.


In hearing at the kings last comments he was having a hard time hiding his fear. He was terrified, in an unkown, dangerous place. What possible good could come out of this? He was going to die... He realized it there. It was just a sick little game of the kings, keep him around, play with his emotions, then toss him to the dogs ...

Everest thoughts about the princess were interrupted when the King came over and whispered in her ear. She listened to what he said and wanted to smile so badly but she stopped herself. 'Keep your cool... Keep your cool.' She kept thinking to herself. Everest took a deep breath and then turned her attention back to the two knights. When the king gave the order to kill if they do anything rash and stupid Everest noticed that James had a small smile on his face before he left with the other knights. Everest was the only knight left that was near the two knights and wasn't sure what to do. 'Guess I can go on patrol...' She thought to herself. @Jacob Berry @Eden Smithe
 
Eden was unsure of what to do next. He would usualy extend his friendship to new people but something told him that doing that would get his arm chopped off. He looked to the girl and spoke softly, hiding his fear. "Define...rash..."
