"Honey!!! Wheres my Supersuit?"
History or Diyara
In the beginning
Long ago the world of Diyara was ruled by 20 kingdoms the leaders of whome had arranged peace and trade that allowed them all to florish. Together they managed to push the monsters into their subterrainian homes or slay them outright. The golden age of the mortals began. For 2000 years our knowledge of Magic, Craft , and Science grew to amazing proportion and the patron god of each nation was made proud as their people grew more and more like them. However the gods and mortals neglected to realize an important feature of the monsters they banished. Monsters grow stronger in the darkness and dangers they face only make them more dangerous to face. Mortals and the gods had banished these creatures to the abyss and while the surface thrived beneath the surface grew a great darkness.
The Fall.
Eventually the wasteland burst open and from it crawled an army of subterrainian horrors. However Mystical warning from the western kingdoms God of knowledge allowed them to respond first. However what the god could not see was the newly formed monster king. This creature proved to much for any mortal to engage and even armies were swatted away like a swarm of gnats. The god himself engaged this creature, however his piousness caused him to fall at the hands of the Newly crowned king of monsters. From there the Middle and East kingdoms,Zul, Eroshen, and Kilingor all united their armies and the gods ebued them with divine power which they used to wage war on the monster horde. However it proved insufficient as more and more creatures emerged from the wastelands depths and the monster king refused to die despite being stricken by the gods. One by one the kingdoms fell even as more joined in the fight. Only the nation of Midra was an exception as their goddess whome shared the same name as the nation was selected to be the final bastion as she was the goddess of light and hope.
The Heroes of light
A thousand years has passed since the wastland erupted, every kingdom other than Midra has fallen. The continent of Midra was protected both by the ocean which was turned against the monsters by Damora's patron god the Azul the god of the seas. As well as being protected by the Goddess Midra's dome of Light which encompassed the entire continent and the surrounding 10 miles of shoreline. For a millenia the denizens have prepared for war, training powerful warriors, forging mystical items, and developing technology for warfare. Finally the Sea gods curse ends and the hordes have begun to cross the sea towards the Massive island. Midra prepares for battle yet all will be surprised to learn of the six champions their goddess has chosen to be their salvation.

Midra
a nation, a continent, a goddess, and a people. The continent of midra was one of the earliest kingdoms of the old world. Long seperated from the world by an ocean on all sides this kingdom was spared the era of warfare before the 20 kingdoms era of peace. During the era of peace it became an international trading hub connecting Tarboria and the Three kingdoms of south Myra. As such Midra has one of the most diverse populations of animals and mortals. Several different cultures blended with the Midran culture but when the Monster king rose and the dome of light was erected all migration and trade was immedietly ended.
After a thousand years the cultures have blended into one all encompassing culture revolving around joint progress at all cost and the beleif that they would be the light of hope for the world. Its current population sits at 155 million, with a standing military of about 25 million. However all the denizens of Midra contribute to the war effort in one way or another.
With war beginning to come after a thousand years the armies of Midra begin final preparations. Meanwhile the Goddess Midra selects six heroes and tasks them with slaying the monster king. Can these heroes truly succeed or will the realm fall into chaos? Only time will tell as the hordes of Darkness and chaos decend upon the last kingdom.
