Max nodded softly smiling some "You think your family would like me?" She asked curiously as she thought about stuff. She had never really had a solid family before, her parents were nut jobs and she ran away when she was 15 to get away from them.

Tommy stayed there the entire time frowning some as Dana came in and gently took Darcie from Carmen's arms "Where are you taking her?" He asked getting up immediately

He frowned. “I don’t think they’ll ever know you exist so what’s the point. As far as they know I’m never going home so it doesn’t matter.” He muttered.

she frowned looking up at him. “Danny’s medical room, get her weighed and the birthcertificate filled out plus you both need to rest for now. Soon as you’re both rested she can come back in.” She assured him.

Max frowned softly and raised an eyebrow "Why is that?" She asked softly biting her lip gently as she watched him wanting to know more about her mate.

Tommy relaxed some and gave a small nod "Alright...just...be careful with her." He said softly before he moved to lay with Carmen and soon fell asleep as well.

He frowned and continued staring at the ceiling. “There was a decision.... after I went off the rails.... that they would no longer support my actions.... as I’d gained a bit of a reputation... so no one wanted to be associated with me. They still don’t.” He muttered frowning.

carmen woke up a few hours later and nestled her head into Tommy’s shoulder. “Can you go get her?” She asked him quietly just wanting their baby girl next to her now not wanting to wait at all.

Max frowned and gave a small nod "I ran away at 15....my parents were lunatics and I couldn't take it anymore. I haven't seen anyone from my family since. " she said softly cuddling him more "But now we have eachother and maybe at some point in our lives we could have a family of our own." She said kind of rambling now.

Tommy nodded and left the room returning shortly with a crying Darcie chuckling softly "I think she is hungry." He murmured placing the little girl in her mother's arms.

Carmen smiled watching her and murmuring to her soothingly. “Hey there pretty princess, shall we get this worked out?” She murmured gently to her and leant back a bit, trying really hard over the next several minutes to help her get latched on, smiling when she finally seemed to get it and kissed her tiny head. “There we go, we got there huh?” She cooed to her. “She’s gonna have her daddy’s hands look at that.” She smiled. “I can’t believe I pushed her out and did all that work for her to come out looking like you.” She winked at him some “we have our family though tommy.” She murmured.

Kevin frowned some hearing the words she used and tensed a little. He would look into it tomorrow to hopefully squash his suspicion but if he was right this was going to start being a problem. “I uh.... I don’t know... maybe... I already had a family that was stolen from me.” He muttered “and they were only a year old.” He muttered feeling choked up thinking about his babies properly for the first time in forever.

Max frowned as she listened to him and gave a soft nod looking up to meet his eyes "Then maybe we just be the cool aunt and uncle." She said softly giving him a saddened smile. She felt his heartbreak and it broke her heart as well to know he had been through all of that.

Tommy gasped at her and gave a smile "We do have her here, but I think she'll look like you more." He said happily kissing the side of her head gently before moving to sit with them just watching the baby.

He watched her some and nodded, kissing her softly and pulling her into his arms a bit more. “Let’s go get something to eat.” He mumbled.

she shook her head watching her and smiling. “No she looks like her daddy too much already, she’s got your hair though.” She murmured quietly. “You okay? You seem... shaken.” She mumbled and rest her head on his shoulder.

Max nodded some and got up kissing his cheek gently "Alright." She murmured holding his hand as they walked out "So what do you feel like having?"

Tommy nodded softly biting his lip some "We need to talk after she goes to sleep." He said softly chuckling as Darcie got unlatched a basically sucked at the air before she realized and started sobbing again "Someone is a very hungry baby."

She just nodded and carefully got her settled again, stroking her head until she was done and gently burped her, watching her fall asleep again, keeping her against her chest again. “Oh baby girl you’re so sleepy huh? Being born is tiring huh?” She cooed to her.

He nodded and kissed her cheek, getting her to go down before him and stuck his head in Tommy’s room. “Hey, sorry to bother you but when you’re ready.... I need to talk to you tommy. It’s pretty important.” He mumbled frowning then headed downstairs.

Tommy smiled happily at them looking over at Kevin and gave a small nod before turning his attention back to his girls "Carmen....after she was born....you....you were bleeding a lot and you passed out." He said quietly before he went on to explain everything that had happened from.Max healing her to Danny fixing her up as well.

Max looked at Kevin as he got into the room and smiled some munching on raw meat from a pack she had found in the fridge "Want some?!" She asked offering him a piece.

She frowned and kissed his cheek, resting her head on his shoulder. “I’m okay now though. Promise. We both are. You can relax now.” She murmured, kissing his cheek and staying super close to him. “I love you.” She murmured softly, gently setting Darcie in the bassinet right next to their bed then lay with him again, holding tommy tightly while she lay back to get rest again.

he smiled some, shaking his head. “Not one bit no.” He murmured quietly to her, sitting down and rubbing her back in circles, “what’s your plan for the day then?” He asked her quietly.

Tommy held her close to him and gave a small nod "I know...just scared me is all...I felt you slipping." He said softly kissing her gently while he held her protectively close "But you're right, you're both okay and everything is perfect."

Max nodded some and shrugged a bit making herself something to drink "Not sure, thought about going into town or watch some TV." She said sipping her water she had made quietly

Carmen nodded and frowned some, gripping at his hand, snuggling in as much as she could. “It’s terrifying huh?” She mumbled gently tracing the large scar that ran down his abdomen. She’d almost lost him once, a long time ago and she was still scared that it would happen again. She tensed a little, hearing the doorbell ring downstairs and glanced to tommy frowning a bit.

Kevin nodded and kissed her cheek, “alright.” He mumbled tiredly, wandering out to the lounge and went to answer the front door when the bell went, opening the door carefully and went to greet whoever was on the other side but before he could open his mouth the two people there had blown a powder into his face and run off, leaving Kevin confused until after a few seconds he realised what it had been and he groaned and dropped to the floor, starting to shake violently, bloodied froth coming up to his mouth.

Max nodded softly smiling a bit as he went off and finished up her food "Kevin, who is it?" She asked but soon screamed loudly and rushed over to him "Help!!" She screamed pulling him into her lap.

Tommy nodded some "Its not." He said softly frowning as he heard the door bell. He stayed close until he heard Max's screams and quickly rushed out going wide eyed as he saw how Kevin was reacting "Danmy get gloves! Max step away you could get hurt too." He said knowing this all too well

Carmen frowned hearing all the shouting and just stayed watching Darcie, kissing her little head and rubbed her cheek “I love you pretty princess.” She cooed to her.

Kevin groaned only slightly aware of what was going on around him feeling then lift him up and carrying him to Danny’s room, blacking our after that, choking on his own blood.

Max rushed after them feeling pain she hadn't felt before start to go through her looking at Tommy with worried eyes "What is this?" She asked quietly

Tommy.helped get Danny up to his room quickly helping out in anyway he can lookimg at Max some "Did you see anything? Did you see who did this?" He asked seriously giving a heavy sigh when she shook her head "Danny can better explain to you."

Danny frowned looking at him and shaking his head. “I’m a little busy right now!” He snapped at tommy but he’d dealt with wolfsbane before so he was going through the motions as fast as possible, barking orders at Tommy quickly to try and keep Kevin’s airway open, eventually hauling him to the bathroom and with Tommy’s help getting him hosed down to get any remaining powder out of there before taking him back to the infirmary and flushing the powder through his system, finally turning to max. “Wolfsbane. Our kind is allergic to it like no tomorrow and given to us in this form with cause anyone to suffocate if not treated quickly. Let him rest. If he gets worse give me a shout.... and the pain that you felt there... that’s the beginnings of losing your mate.” He muttered.

carmen frowned seeing tommy finally come back in the room and she sat up some, lifting Darcie into her arms “What happened?” She asked quietly, moving to stand up carefully and walk around a little with her cradled close.

Max listened carefully and stayed out of there way before nodding to Danny "Who would do this?" She asked quietly as she held Kevin's hand letting a single tear fall "Do the humans know we are allergic to it?"

Tommy left after they had finished up with Kevin and quickly went to Find Carmen giving a heavy sigh "Someone at the door blew wolfsbane straight into Kevin's face...Danny got him settled but we have no clue who did this." He muttered

She frowned but nodded. “We need to add more patrols.” She mumbled and kissed his cheek. “We need to start marking these things down as well.” She suggested, smiling some feeling Darcie snuggle up to the crook of her neck. “I still can’t believe she’s here. You wanna hold her a minute so I can try and have a shower?” She murmured.

Danny nodded. “theyre clearly testing out all the legends. And unfortunately they are all true... well ...90% anyway. They do not like that we are real. This Maggie Thompson woman... she’s hell bent on making our lives impossible. We got a war coming.” He muttered and walked out to give them privacy until Kevin started waking up a little

Tommy nodded some and gave a heavy sigh kissing her cheek smiling softly at Darcie "Yeah we will." He said quietly giving a heavy sigh "I wish they could understand we are like them." He whispered

Max looked at Kevin giving a soft smile kissing his cheek gently "Hey babe. Youre okay, Danny got you fixed up." She said quietly

Kevin frowned some and moved to sit up carefully. “Shit.... my chest feels like it’s on fire still.” He mumbled frowning.

Carmen nodded some and leaned into his arms for a minute before passing Darcie to him so she could take a shower

Tommy smiled happily and took his daughter into his arms holding her close "Oooh daddy is going to spoil you silly little one " he said softly

Max nodded some giving a small frown "Its gonna be okay, Danny said it might be that way for a little bit." She said quietly to him

Kevin nodded some and leaned back watching her. “C’mere.” He mumbled, reaching for her to come lay with him.

she smiled watching them both for a minute before disappearing into the bathroom to get washed up.

Lily was the next person to go and bother tommy but she smiled seeing the tiny baby in his arms and reached out for her. “Oh come see aunt lily.” She cooed to her happily. “Oh tommy you guys make such cute babies!“ she smiled at him. “I thought you should come check the security footage after that incident.” She told him, passing his daughter back to him.

Max frowned some and moved to lay with him tracing his stomach tattoo gently kissing him gently "I felt you slipping away....I dont ever want to feel that again." She whispered letting a few tears fall

Tommy smiled at Lily and nodded "She is beautiful." He said happy but then gave a small frown at the mention of the security footage and nodded taking his daughter back into his arms following her out to the study where their TVs for the cameras were set up.
