Nora felt her body tense, almost shrinking back. "I do not condone it. I am taking him as far as a few feet from the city, no more." She said, her eyes filling with fear. I have no desire to go to that horrid place again." She said, her tail curling around her upper body in defense, her ears pressed flat against her head.

"Hmm." Conner replied. She was right, he could not help her in that field. Inventions were beyond him. He could only think of things that made his life easier, and those were already made. "Well, for a feline KM, such as myself, grooming is rather important to most of us. Let's say you can think of something that would help that to some extent or another?" Once he had said that, he realized what he did. He did not ask what his master, or in this case mistress, for something or even give them ideas. He was just there to help where it was needed and do as he was told. But then again, he was helping in some way.

He saw her shrink back, saw her look vulnerable. Something happened to her, something terrible, and it had something to do with the city. His hands clenched in anger. He knew that humans do not tolerate KMs kindly, they even go through such lengths to hurt them, and he doesn't want her to go through that again. "Hey Viren, watch the shop okay. I'm coming with her." He said.

When Rosaline heard Conner's suggestion she gave a whole-heartedly laugh. Her face glowed as she calmed herself down. "That's a cute suggestion.

I never have thought of that," her voice quieted down after her bubbly laughter. Her eyes were then shining with new thoughts.

She looked up to Conner, "But in all seriousness, that is a brilliant idea." She smiled at him. Never had she felt so comfortable with someone, besides with children she helped out on the weekends.

"You know Conner I think you are going to fit in perfectly," Rosaline purred as she leaned back into her seat throwing her arms behind her head and leaning her head back, closing her eyes.

Ina Tiran

"Magic huh? The man rubbed his hand over his scruffy chin, "I've played cards before...but not like this..." he muttered as he grasped a random card from the middle- he glanced at it quickly with a grin- the ace of spades. The point of the spades always reminded him of the sharp sword he once used for battle. Quickly he swiped his hands over the top and bottom of the deck, taking the top most cards without peeking. "So well spoken for such a young kit, it's quite funny. Do you do any other rabbit habits? Like hop? or eat carrots?" Vadim asked, peering at the patch over the KM's eye. He looked back at Lovayna, giving slight disapproval to the idea of letting some strangers lead Ina into a forest with a hunter around, he disliked the nature of the wilderness but he never complained about them since Ina was born in one.

"I-If that's no burden to you...I don't want to take up too much of your time." the white dog KM flushed shyly shifting side to side as she shoved the last of the bitter herbs into Mark's mouth. She continued to pour in the dried peels into his mouth until each crumb was gone. She wanted to make sure each chemical of caffeine of the dried and fermented fruit was ingested to reverse the effects of the sleep darts "I...Would greatly appreciate it!" Ina bowed her head a bit in respect, like how one would do to an elder or a higher ranked officer. "If that's...okaie with you, sir." she gave a quiet look towards the man who seemed to be concentrating deeply "...If you trust these people, but make sure it won't be like that time with the man and the candy. " Vadim warned, Ina still didn't quite understand why it wasn't right to deny such good candy-even if she didn't like sweets "I'm sure we can trust Lovayna...can't you see the kindness in her eyes?" she smiled lightly. The man groaned and waved her off as he ruffled her hair. "I'll watch over Mark until he's well enough to return to his cave. Be good a good pup."

Mai Hinawo

The girl seemed a bit irritated, was she the only one who ate of the land? It wasn't odd for her not to fit in with human society, but not even with the animalistic reaches of the KM world? "I'm going to eat. " Mai stated, indicating to the snake. There must have been berries or some other type of fruit somewhere for her to eat...Though, snake was a good source of protein. "Ah. As a promise to Kumbara, I promise I won't hurt you. For now. But if you two cross my path again, you may have to learn how to live life without those pretty wings of yours~" she smiled innocently , turning on her heels to head back to her cabin- but barely a meter from where she stood a root got in her way, causing her to fall face first into a hardened trunk of a forest tree.

Conner glowed with pride at the praise. But it was cut short. Cute, he could handle, but what did she mean that he would fit in? That wasn't a thought he wanted to dwel on for to long. "As you say, ma'am." his default answer was. He had to think about what she meant by hat she said.

Mad Hatter's Rabbit, Bernard

Bernard smiled, flicking his wrist as the deck disappeared without a trace. He rubbed his hands together, biting his tongue slightly. "I actually dislike carrots, though I have to have one serving every day to maintain good eyesight to make up for my lack of right eye." He reached his hand out and tapped the card he had taken out of the middle. "I have a feeling about this card...though saying what it is would ruin the trick, would it not? Nevermind, don't answer that question, it was rhetorical. Now, let's say the top card is...a Diamonds card? And, how about the number...6. Yes, 6 seems like a good 'example'. Now, a six letter word...like...crumple?" At that moment, he snapped his fingers, and the card crumpled into a tiny diamond shape no bigger than a kernel of popcorn. "Yes, exactly. Now...the bottom card you had chosen, it is a card of Hearts? Ah, the Hearts card. Said to mean love, though also life. So, let's give it life, right?" He drew his hand back, and the card followed it, hovering little more than an inch from his open palm. He smiled, bringing his hand down quickly and wrapping his hand around it completely, opening it again to show the card had disappeared. "Very magical, don't you think? Now, the last card...since the first felt like a 6....and the now deceased Hearts was a...5? Yes, felt like a 5. Let's see..." He flipped the card in the man's hand, revealing a King of Clubs. Bernard frowned, eyebrows raised. "Wait, wait, wait...that isn't right. It's supposed to be a different card..." He reached behind is head, the perked up. "Hold on a moment...Ah HA!" He pulled out three cards, one the 6 of Diamonds, one the 5 of Hearts, and one the Ace of Spades. He then looked up at the man, and shrugged. "And THAT, sir, is Rabbit Magic." He bowed, making a large production of it.

Lovayna was surprised to hear Ina associate the word 'kindness' to her.

Am I kind?

Never had she pondered on such a question. Lovayna nodded and made a cross gesture over the location of her heart.

"I swear on my heart or hope to die that I will bring Ina back safe," Lovayna promised to Vadim. She couldn't tell if he heard her though over Bernard's fascinating magic trick. Sadly Lovayna felt she did not have the time to spend it on entertainment of any sort. Though secretly she wished she could just sit in one place and continue watching Bernard's tricks.

Lovayna then turned to Ina, "Shall we get going? It is better if we travel while there is still daylight."

Soon they arrived to a tall skyscraper. "Well this is it. The location of where all the businesses and hell take place," Rosaline pointed out the plain tower. "Let's get this over with," she sighed as she began gathering her things and scooting towards the door.

At that Tony's wings folded tightly in, and he growled lowly at the girl. However, when she left and he heard a thump, he followed, raising an eyebrow as he realised she'd tripped. He gently helped her up, looking her over to make sure she was ok. He picked the dead snake off the floor carefully, and offered it to her silently

@Nekoni

Seeing that he was lacking in his duties, Conner quickly got out and held the door open for her. 'What does she mean by hell?' he thought to himself as he took her things and followed after her. At the same time, he was praying that she wouldn't get him into an embarassing spot.

Rosaline sighed, dreading the atmosphere already. Before she took her first step inside the building she could hear the chaos occurring. Assistants, employees, delivery people, visitors all scrambled around the floors. Rosaline walked through the crowd parting it like the red sea. Everyone knew Miss Rosaline and to not get in her way. She strutted down the hallway till she got to the receptionist desk.

"Oh why hello Miss Vander!" greeted the young receptionist. Rosaline flashed her a smile and asked, "Are they all here?" She nodded and pointed to an exclusive elevator that was not next to the other elevators but is on the other side of the room. Rosaline nodded and said, "Thank you." She then turned to Conner, "Alright. This way." She walked towards the elevator.

Scurrying close in her wake, Conner took the momentary, and relative, silence to study the chaos. Each person had a place here, and a thing that needed to be done. They were much like him, only they got paid. Once he entered the elevator, he stood silently off to one side, holding her stuff.

Rosaline glanced over to see how Conner was doing. He still seemed fine. She once again made sure her hair was fixed and tidy the way she wanted it. As soon as they reached the designated floor the doors opened to peace and quiet.

Through a glass panel Rosaline observed employees in their cubicles working away on ideas and paperwork. "Here is where the real employees work. These are the people who help earn us money. But lately now I don't even know if they are working for this company. We haven't had any worthy ideas in weeks and sales are dropping," Rosaline explained. She sighed as she walked down the hallway towards a huge conference room. With one hand on the handle of the door she turned back to Conner and said, "I want you to join us in this meeting. Perhaps you can come up with a great idea rather than these potato sacks here."

Vadim clapped calmly with a calm intrigue setting into his eyes as the rabbit bowed. Hovering cards and warping shapes with ease....disappearing and reappearing from behind his head. "You're good at this lil tyke...rabbit magic huh? .....Do you care to share any of your secrets? " he asked with a grin, leaning in to look at the cards, with a similar expression Ina had when she first saw one of his rabbit tricks "KM's are amazing! Just wonderful." he blue eyed gazed fixed upon the fox, smiling at her words "Such a strong voice for such a young woman." Vadim laughed, "Be sure, because she's the last of my home that I have. If anything happens just holler, I'll come running if these old bones can still hold me. "

Ina wagged her tail happily, barking lightly as she ran up towards Lovayna, "Okaie Okaie!" she crowed excitedly even though the day was ending soon. "Just...a quick trip...I don't want to run out of any before winter comes....Um...Bernard, are you coming with us?" the girl asked, ear perked as her star earrings clinking lightly against each other like a light chime.

The scientist rubbed her head as the wolf-avian helped her up to her feet, taking the snake with glee "Good boy!" she called as if to a local dog, patting his head as a reward. "I would be glad to have a KM like you in one of my experiments...just look at your personality, so interesting~~" she smiled, clearly indicating that a large vial of his blood wasn't going to help him in the future if he came across her 'territory'. All Kemonomimi's were fair game. Not one would be let off so easily- even if one had the power to kill her.

@Metaphysics

Mark would have fallen asleep wen Ina finish feeding him,as he open his eyes and he can see again,as he look around at the grupe as there were new faces he has never seen,as he would reman on the chair as he was better alredy but still kinda dizzy But MUCH better that earlier and as he has never visited Ina,s master house and he was lightly confused of the sudent glace of a new place and say "Um....I must have pass out....so...all of you help mi?"he says kinda surpise some people help him as they dint even know him.as stripes would have fallen asleep ontop of Marks head and mark would reach for him and would plase him on hos neck and Stripe would hang there as he sleeps

"Yes, ma'am. Thank you ma'am." Conner said as he followed her out. He might have been the target of envy and jealousy by some, getting to serve Lady Rosaline. But he did not notice any angry face. In fact, he tried very much to ignore everything but the back of Rosaline's head. He didn't need the complications that wandering eyes brought.

Mad Hatter's Rabbit, Bernard

Bernard looked over at Ina and then back at Vadim. He calmly shook his head as he placed the cards int his breast pocket. "No matter what, a magician never reveals his secrets. Cliche, but true. I'm sorry, sir." He then turned back to Ina, eyebrows raised. "Well, I don't see the harm in joining you. Though, I don't know of how much use I will be. With my...condition..." He pointed at his eyepatch, half-smiling. "I don't have as fine a tuned nose as you probably do, but I can help in gathering things quickly. Or provide entertainment if the trip get's boring." Truly, he wasn't useful for anything aside from his flashy shows. He had found his calling, and it wasn't herb gathering or guarding his owner.

Lovayna's ears twitched with embarrassment from Vadim's complimentary words. She just gave a curt nod to Vadim then glanced at the rabbit KM. For some odd reason, Lovayna seemed at ease with these two KMs.

Ease...I have not felt like this in a long time.

She took the lead in exiting the shelter but then she turned back towards the group.

"Um if I may, I shall take the rear of the group so that I can guard you guys in the rear. I wish to not offend either of you in competing with keener senses but I live to track and so it may be reasonable that I guard in the back," Lovayna proposed flattening her ears as to show no sign of superiority.

Rosaline entered the conference room holding her breath. In the seats sat an age group of 50-70. This made her even more anxious.

Elders don't hold as much patience. And I can't use my charm to flatter them, well some I can but I'm not going to try.

She took her position up in front of the room and began her presentation.

In the middle of her presentation it seems that she was losing their focus. She gritted her teeth for she disliked disrespect, especially from elderly. After excusing herself, Rosaline trotted over to where Conner was and whispered in his ear, "I need your help. I'm starting to lose their focus and I really need their business. Would you please elaborate to them your brilliant idea and view of the KM population." She then stood a bit back looking to his face with an earnest look.

Conner thought nothing of it, the. Once again the words made it through and he couldn't help but give her a very strange and confused look. Brilliant view and ideas? He just said that most feline KMs liked to be well groomed, including him. That didn't mean he knew what all of them wanted. Well, the servants could use a few things to make life more comfortable. And those that were injured could use some sort of assistance, practical or just to keep looking good. "I will try, ma'am." he finally said. He mustered what courage he could, stood up straight, and prepared to make his speech/proposal. When he did finally give it, it was a very short and simple thing that can be sumed up in one sentence. "Some KMs are uncomfortable and here is how you can make money off of it by selling (insert item here) to them."

Silence filled the room at first, but then the sound of an applause filled the room. One of the elderly gentlemen stood up and said, "What a simple yet brilliant outlook on KMs! I even forgot we were living with such species! I must say quite an idea and one that we can work on, along with the sidelines of servants and disabled people." He stood up and walked over to Rosaline. "You got yourself a keeper there," he mumbled to her as he pointed to Conner.

One of the elderly ladies walked up to Conner to shake his hand. "We shall now look further into creating items for KMs, servants, and disabled people alike," she stated.

More of the elders congratulated Conner and Rosaline. Once they all left she looked at him. "You did it...never have we made such a deal!" she exclaimed with glee. Without even thinking about it, Rosaline flung herself at Conner.

The young KM nodded towards Mark's direction "Um...Yeah, their names are Lovayna and Bernard...They helped you know...protect you!" She exclaimed with a lack of words "This is Vadim's home...and my home as well, so please stay! I'm...not positive that all the dart fluids are out of you yet." Ina insisted on the bat to rest a bit longer , even though as her older brother he might not want to let her go off with the strangers. They seemed to be nice people, since Vadim hasn't drawn a sword from a wall yet their presence has been deemed safe enough to enter the property of the small abode.

Vadim cracked her back side to side, the popping of each joint snapping in a long row. "Well, that's no fun Bernard. Can't you spare an old man's curiosity? " he joked, patting his white hair-almost expecting for cards to slip out from beneath the strands.

Ina wriggled excitedly, it had been such a long time since her master actually allowed her to go. There always seemed to be a reason not to go; flash floods; rabies outbreak; too hot. The man always seemed to find an excuse- or was it just coincidental truth? She wasn't quite sure. "D-Don't worry...Your company is nice...company is the only thing we need." Ina smiled brightly. Her teal eye peered at Lovayna with her head cocked."Oh...That's quite a smart thing to think of...B-But I doubt any of us are um...sense competing!" She waved her arms suddenly, not use to being near someone as submissive as herself.

"...If I were to give you my blood...what would you use it for?" Oscar suddenly asked. "I need to know that you won't use it for bad things..." He continued. "And I'd like to know your name first." He added as he slowly approached her, taking extra care to not provoke her. @Nekoni

Tonys ears flattened, "You might as well....."He muttered, almost to himself. His feathers ruffled quietly, as he looked back up at her. He had nowhere else to go, and he was more than likely to bump into her again even if he did leave her. He tilted his head at her, ears twitching quietly at each sound from their surroundings @Nekoni

"I'll definitely have a place in my home for one like you. "The violet haired girl brightened up as the wolf-Avian spoke, though he didn't sound like he was joking-but even if he was those words alone would have given her all the permission she needed. Her bright green eyes watched the angelic like boy approach, his features were very attractive to say the least "My name is Mai Hinawo, a genetic researcher of sorts." She grinned proudly with a dangerous smile, as if she were watching two bees crawling towards a poisoned violet. "I would use your blood for a numerous amount of things...too many to list, possibly for cures for human illnesses, compatibility, structure, how and what genes do what...let's see...to sum it up..I'm using any blood I collect to decode KMs and everything about them for the sake of science. So it's a very good thing, if humans knew more about creatures like you then there could be a chance that they might consider you equals. " Mai tried to explain in a rushed tone, the girl was very excited to be in the presence of the two Kemonomimi's. "What are you two called?"
