Personality:

Though not uncommon for members of the Uchiha clan, Kasumi is somewhat of a generally coldly blunt and honest person, often to a very rude and scathing degree. She is not a very courteous or sympathetic person, especially not to strangers or mere acquaintances she's only just met. She publicly keeps a stony-faced exterior to hide her thoughts and put up her wall of cool demeanor. Kasumi is the type of girl to rely on her own thoughts and to not openly trust anyone besides herself, often making her appear very paranoid and guarded even to her closest of friends. She is not the type of person to take risks without properly thinking through the advantages and disadvantages of her actions thoroughly. She is a very observant, analytical person and often uses such qualities in combat, paired with her refusal to take unnecessary risks, to size up her opponent and make reasonable plans from that point. Though she is often level-headed on the exterior, many of the people she has encountered do not expect and often forget that Kasumi's own emotions run rampant beneath her facade; She is both a master of the matters of the mind, and a novice from her neglect of the matters of the heart. As such, it takes all of her might to force herself back often when her explosive temper hits at the slightest inconvenience. She is, just like everyone else, human; Her heart carries its own burdens. Because of that humanity, she secretly holds a peacefully altruistic mindset that calls her to rise above the need for common bloodshed.


History: The Uchiha clan, one of two founding clans behind Konohagakure and one of the most famous across the nations famed and coveted for the Sharingan. They were once the lifelong rivals to the Senju clan in the Warring States era, prior to the formation of one of the first Shinobi villages in the name of peace. The youngest of three sisters, Kasumi was the final child of Ryuunosuke and Fuuka Uchiha. For the first five years of her life, Kasumi lived in a state of peace in her household. From the sidelines under the ward of her caring mother for most of her early days, the youngest child watched her elder sisters get pushed to perfection in the Shinobi arts by her father. Every day, she would hear him tell them that "their ancestry flows through them, more powerful than anyone else in this village. Even in this clan. You are the War Fan exacerbating Konoha's great flame!" She had watched her eldest sister Momoko pass the Chunin Exams and her elder sister Kameko graduate the Academy to become Genin, awaiting her turn to train like them every moment. Soon into her adolescence, Kasumi would receive that chance to become a Shinobi like her sisters and her parents. She entered the Academy's ranks and pushed herself to exceed the expectations of her father and fulfill the legacy of her family's common ancestor. At home, she pushed and pushed herself to overcome any obstacle before her. Two years into her studies, her research into her family's history and their techniques led her to take up Bukijutsu, choosing a weapon modelled after the Gunbai Uchiwa as her tool of choice. Only months prior her graduation and with years of trial and error that left her exhausted, she successfully passed an old Uchiha rite of passage: the successful performance of the Great Fireball Jutsu. However, rifts in the clan began to open up in Kasumi's early life. The current Uchiha Clan head passed peacefully in his sleep when she was seven years old, leading her Uncle Ryuichi and her grandfather to push her father and her extended family to secretly surmount an insurrection over the clan; They claimed that "their blood made them the strongest as direct descendants of one of the most powerful members of the clan in history" and believed themselves to be the best candidates for leading the clan. As such, her father Ryuunosuke was nominated as a candidate to be the new clan leader by the insurrection. A traitorous turncoat existed among the rebellion's ranks, conspiring with them by moonlight but taking the information to the clan's council in the same night. As he was believed to have dared to go against the natural order of the clan and conspired to sacrifice the clan's history for his family's own benefit, Ryuunosuke Uchiha was picked off in the dead of the night. His name was erased from the books, said to have gone on an extended mission and never seen again. The life of her immediate family became a high stress one, her mother keeping the three daughters blissfully unaware of the ugly truth. Fits of anger were common in those days due to the high stress lifestyle of secretive lying. Though Kasumi never knew what she would be missing for the rest of her life, her resolve as a Shinobi was only to get the strength to look for her missing father. If only just to find his final resting place and thank him for all he'd pushed her to do.

Specialization: Kasumi is a mid to close-range fighter through her training, specializing in Shurikenjutsu like near all members of her Clan and Bukijutsu utilizing her decently sized Uchiwa to fan the flames of her Fire Release techniques, shield her from close range Taijutsu attacks, and serve as a cutting weapon similarly to Kenjutsu. One day, she will learn the ways of her Kekkei Genkai as well.

Kekkei Genkai/Hiden: Though she hasn't awakened it yet due to not experiencing the Curse of Hatred, Kasumi possesses the bloodline required to awaken the famed Sharingan dojutsu.

Description: A weapon modeled after the giant War Fans used ages ago in the Warring States era. Unfortunately, this version is only a replica of the one passed down from Uchiha clansmen through the years. Its edges still remain sharp and its body still sturdy, however.

Description: By utilizing the basic principles of Chakra Flow, the user pours Fire chakra through the Gunbai Uchiwa and heaves a mighty swing creating and launching a high-speed fireball like a baseball leaving the bat. The fireball cannot move trajectory and it is very small, thus requiring the user to be very accurate for it to be of any real use.
