Name: Karrus Ryker, AKA "The Animal", "The Doomfather" and self styled "King under the Mountain"

Race: Human

Hive Registered (Y/N): No

Affiliation: Leader of the Doomheads; an aggressive and potent criminal organization hailing from the north side of the Underhive.

Trade and/or Occupation: Thief, extortionist, murderer, warlord, man of the forgotten people of the Underhive and Ganglord of all he sees.

Wealth Level: As a Gang boss its really somewhere between Cooking with Gas and Fancy Pants; in the Underhive his influence and power are substantial but outside of that he's hardly even known besides a few contacts within the black market.

Age: Unknown, presumed late 20s

Height: 5'11

Weight: 210lbs

Appearance: The first things that most notice about Karrus is his pale complexion coupled with a head of stark white hair. Grey eyes and a near perfect set of white teeth complete the ensemble, interconnecting to give the notorious gang boss an appearance that some have described as being "cold as the grave." Scars of all shapes and sizes criss cross a lanky frame corded with a well defined anatomy indicative of a body steeped in hardship. Amongst the scar tissue are grafted black tattoos covering much of his torso and arms; prominent amongst these are depictions of the reaper, the personification of death and dismay. Most distinguishing is a large depiction of a metallic snarling beast skull, complete with protruding tusks (See attached scan), inked across his back above the words "Homo Homini Lupus."

Most recent attributed photograph included

Notable Gear: While having access to a variety of gear due to his position and suppliers, Karrus is partial to his trusty bolt pistol and chainsword combination which he names Beauty and Beast respectively.

Skills & Abilities: The greatest strength of Karrus Ryker is his knowledge of the nature of humanity. His life experience has allowed him to look at the way people behave both within and without the constraints of the law which has further bolstered his manipulative powers he first gained when he began to exhibit sociopathic tendencies. Karrus is charasmatic, willful, and confident, able to put any friend at ease while instilling the fear of the almighty in any foe. Some call him a lunatic while others insist he's a genius...those closest to him tend to assert he walks a fine line between the two. The emotional register of a necron, however well disguised, the cunning of an Eldar and a threshold for pain that would put a Nurglite cultist to shame combine to create a man, a beast loyal to no one, determined to win his fights before they start, or failing that, to win his fights by any means necessary.

Flaws & Vulnerabilities: As before stated, at some point Karrus developed sociopathic tendencies which has made it hard to get close to anyone. So while having plenty of associates, allies, and subordinates, he has few in the way of real friends. Having walked the fine line of his own sanity for so long, there are moments, when pushed, that Karrus has been known to slip, allowing his more unstable side to bleed through. Years of physical and substance abuse have taken their toll; old addictions of his tend to flare up from time to time.

How would the people that know your character describe his or her personality? Depending on who you ask, Karrus Ryker is either a madman or a gifted leader. Violent, fearless, cunning, unhinged; To those that know him he is either a mind ahead of his time or just another lost soul driven insane by the spirit crushing darkness of the layman's existence on Necromunda.

Character History: Karrus began his life as the second son of a manufactorum worker and a loom girl. His family was basically in the lower rung of the lower hive's class system. They had just enough to survive and not much else. Karrus grew up in the slums, playing in piles of jagged metal with his siblings and friends and going to whatever school was being offered by the local temple to the Imperial Cult. This all lasted until his father was killed in an industrial accident and Karrus had to quit his free spirited life at a young age and go take his father's place on the assembly lines to be able to feed his family. Being young and impressionable, he ended up getting involved in drug sales after his mother became too sick to work, this was the only way he could take care of his family.

Eventually he was caught by the local enforcers and sentenced to a maximum security prison where the local arbiters threw everyone regardless of crime. Karrus was only just a teenager at the time...he was not expected to last long. Details are sketchy as the course of the next events but what is known is that Karrus was involved in several significant altercations within the prison, many of which involved the death of other inmates. He proved to be so troublesome that eventually the guards threw him in an isolation cell and kept him there. Much to their confusion, the altercations between guards and inmates continued to escalate even with Karrus inside isolation. It was apparent that somehow, even while separated from the prison's general population, Karrus was influencing the actions of the inmates...Near the end of his stay in that prison a decade or more after he was incarcerated, the warden of the prison could only come to the conclusion that Karrus had both inmates and guards in his pocket and when rumors of a prison riot began to spread like wildfire through the facility's ranks, the warden decided it was time to get rid of the problem once and for all.

So concerned were the guards of the prison about Karrus' reputation that they decided they could not simply execute him and be done with it without inciting a major inmate revolt. Instead, the warden opted to have Karrus thrown into the Underhive with the rest of the hive's scum and villainy.

It has been three years since the day that Karrus was "escorted" into the Underhive with nothing but the shirt on his back. In that time he has managed to carve out a fledgling empire out of the Underhive's north side. His gang, known as the Doomheads, have ruthlessly taken control of everything they can get their mitts on from drug distribution to arms production, to money laundering and all shades of black in between.

Contacts: Flynn "Storm" Aceras - Karrus' trusted lieutenant and man of few words. Flynn is a real hardboiled ganger who grew up on the streets after being orphaned before he could even form cohesive memories of his parents. A very taciturn and stern man, he's known by his street name "Storm" for the calm front he exhibits that belies a raging inferno when pressed. Flynn has been a ganger all his life after a short and abortive stint in the PDF...he was but a lowly street pounder before Karrus came along and gave him the opportunity to become something greater.

Daric "Beast" Haller: A gargantuan monster of a man; Beast is one of Karrus' enforcers with a penchant for heavy weaponry. The man carries around a heavy stubber as if it were not much more than a toy. Karrus found him as a cage fighter indebted to an underhive guildsman and was able to win a bet that cleared said debt. Beast, in return, has entered into the employ of the Doomheads with a specialty for cracking skulls when Karrus needs to get a message across to someone haranguing him.

Tydas "Skorch" Lucios: Tydas is a dark skinned underhive entertainer with a real connection with the neglected people of the Underhive. The music he produces for his alter ego "Skorch" a man who wears shaded visors and sports a head of rainbow dyed dreadlocks, brings hope to the people of the bottom of the hive's rung as well as a voice to express their frustrations. As a result, many people look up to and respect the part time ganger who finds himself providing service to the Doomheads as an informant of sorts as well as a direct tap on the pulse of the Underhive.

Yolande: A mysterious woman with a leather eyepatch over one eye known simply as Yolande runs a dive in the reaches of the Underhive. But for a former flame like Karrus, its easy to see past the business' front. Yolande isn't from Necromunda as it were, she's a marooned pirate, either by fate or by choice who has decided to take up residence in the Underhive. Her bar serves as a front for her real business which is a black market trade where she exchanges rare trinkets and archaeotech for "exotic" merchandise that trickles into her shop from the high spires of Primus. Yolande is Karrus' link to anyone he'd want to associate with from outside the hive.

"Vulcan": This mysterious figure has been instrumental in the success of the Doomheads as a gang. Suspected to be connected to arms manufacturing in the lower hive, "Vulcan" is the codename Karrus has given to his main supplier of firepower. So far, the two seem to have enjoyed a very prosperous, if strictly illicit, relationship.

"Ice": Charasmatic lowlife types like Karrus always attract all sorts of other shadowy figures. One of these within Karrus' social circle is a rather enigmatic hitman that goes by the simple streetname of "Ice." Urban legends about his feats abound within the Underhive. Some call him a shapeshifter, a demon possessed of powerful magicks that allow him to kill his targets without being captured. Most contend, however, that he's simply another hired gun in a hive full of more faceless mercenaries than can be counted. Regardless of whether the stories are true or not, all that is perhaps important is that this assassin is skilled enough to have the employ of powerful ganglords like Karrus.

(Other contacts to be added in game as I think of them.)

Folks who would like to kill you: Anyone who wants to dance with the devil and claim the crown of hell.

As long as you aren't playing around with no cybernetics I think we'll be just fine, just.... fine.
