Qurac & Bialya had been at odds with each other since at least World War II, when they each took opposite sides. When they joined the World War II they signed treaties with the other members of their alliance. Lately ever since Queen Bee took over Bialya tensions were exponitially increasing on an almost daily level. Then suddenly Bialya launched an invasion into Qurac. The situation had the potentional to become World War III and with allies on both sides of the conflict armed with nuclear weapons. The potential for nuclear war was increasing on the daily.

Diana tried everything she could to get the US government to do something as a DEO agent. They refused to get involved. Diana publicly renounced the US government and resigned from the DEO. The next day Diana called all members of the Justice League to the Watchtower.

“As you are all aware of the potential for nuclear war is growing daily. The US government refuses to do anything about it. I will not stand by and let this happen. I know as the newly elected leader of the Justice League I could order you to fight this war to stop it, but war is not something one should be forced to fight. If you want to stop this war meet me in the Javelin bay in an hour.”

Diana left to make a private call. “Steve baby, I’ll be back to you as soon as possible. I hate that I have to leave.” She hated leaving Steve on such a potentially long mission given his advanced age, but this was something that had to be done.

Mere hours after Diana announced her condemnation of the US and resignation from the DEO the US government announced the formation of a team of metahumans Infinity, Inc. The members were not publicly revealed, nor was Lex Luthor’s involvement.

The day after the announcement Erika woke up in Luthor’s bed. She waited for Lex to wake up. “Deal’s a deal, right?” Erika stroked his face. “You're it until you're dead or I find someone better.” Erika got of bed and took a shower. Two hours later in the Infinity command room Luthor gathered all the members of Infinity, Inc. “All your training has for the last six months to a year has been to prepare you for fighting to defend America and to determine which of you would lead this team.” He stepped aside and let Erika have the floor. Before Erika could say anything, alarms went off. Erika turned on the giant screen in the front of the room. “Looks like we are getting thrown into the deep end for our first mission. Individually they are all enemies of a single member of the Justice League, together they be some sort of evil Justice League.” Lex Luthor interjected. “The Injustice League.” Lex Luthor then handed Erika a Father Box. “Get out there and stop them. As government agents it is your responsibility to capture them. If you have absolutely no choice and it comes down to your life or theirs kill them.” Erika opened a boom tube and stepped through.

He couldn't stop it. Reliving the life of Wallace West, his memories spliced into his own. It was almost as if they were the same person, but they weren't. Subject 13 was well aware that he was not Wally West, and honestly, that was what hurt the most. Why couldn't Lex at least let him believe he was somebody? In the real world he was a John Doe, no life, no meaning. Just a copy and paste of the fastest man alive, an attempt at making a Flash that Lex Luthor could control by himself. Then there were the voices, of Iris West-Allen, Linda Park, and worst of all, the voice of the man who was supposed to be his teacher, Bartholomew Allen. "Run Wally, run." Subject 13 rose his right arm off of the side of the bed, and slammed it down against the nightstand. A small crack ran through the stand, a small line of blood dripping off the side of his hand. "Please... Just shut up." He said to himself, before sitting up on the side of the bed. He pulled open the same nightstand, and popped a handful of tablets from a container down his throat, crunching them greedily under his teeth. They were prescribed by Lex, and Subject 13 knew he shouldn't've been trusting Luthor with what he ingested, but it was the only way he knew to clear his mind.

Focused, and clear-minded, he stared forward at the large glass wall in front of him. He could see the entirety of the city, and the miniature lights of civilians in cars, and so on. It helped him feel slightly more human, staring down at the real humans. Then his reflection peered through the glass, an image of what he'd never be. Constant reminder of who he never would become. "It is okay. I am Limbo." He told himself, and with that, he turned out the lights, and fell back asleep.

The following morning went as usual. Limbo rose from his bed, and in seconds was cleaned up and dressed in his standard white and gold suit, the only part of his body revealed was his face. He cooked up a private breakfast in the Infinity HQ, he was often alone due to just how early he woke up, and opted to make his own breakfast rather than have Lex's androids do it. He resumed the rest of the morning in training, and was ultimately summoned to the command room with an alert that came from a computer installed into the wrist of his suit.

He arrived in the command room in the blink of an eye, one of the perks of his superhuman speed. He stood upright as his comrades filed in after him for the briefing. It was announcement day, and all his training and preparation was leading up to this. He didn't so much as flinch, or quiver as they were briefed, but of course, an interruption occurred. What else had they trained for, interruptions. It was the Injustice League, and because they'd interrupted his announcement day, Subject 13 would have no remorse. He nodded at Luthor, pressing the insignia on his chest to retract the remaining of his suit over his face. With his face covered, Limbo was a weapon, and nothing more. He lost his humanity when he sheathed his face. He couldn't see his reflection, a constant reminder of his cold-heart with it all. All he hoped to see was pain, and definitely not his.

He stepped through the portal.

  • ,Superman was on the Javelin in no time. He'd already spent the morning exposing an abusive orphanage, so he considered the brief moments between adventures his free time. As Clark Kent, he'd been compiling and editing a book-format adaptation of his college-age zines. He called his passion project 'Men of Mystery: A History of Crime-fighters' and intended to publish it through Siegel and Schuster, a subsidiary of the Daily Star.

Now, in the brief time he had, he dedicated himself to proofreading it.

An excerpt from 'Chapter 7: Entering the 1950's' By 1951, a new generation of heroes had slowly begun to fill the void left by the retiring of many wartime heroes. The first modern metahuman, Captain Comet, had made himself known to the general public. Growing up in the Midwest to John and Martha Blake, Adam Blake dedicated his life to protecting the galaxy from the threats, including apes and mad gods from space. By 1952, a man named 'Commando Cody' had contacted and come into conflict with extraterrestrial life, now thought by professionals to be genetic offshoots of Venusian cavemen.

These two were considered the beginning of the 'space heroes' that would become commonplace across the decade. Earth was no longer just a stepping stone to greater conquest by alien warmongers. This was the beginning of Earth's true intergalactic presence in the galaxy.

He was careful not to repeat what his influence in the field, Farmer, had said with his books on the subject of Doc Savage and Tarzan. The general public were well-informed about them and Clark figured he couldn't outdo those novels. They were the gold standard in terms of authenticity and accuracy.
