Robin looked up at him and revved the engine of his bike. "I know my history Bruce. We lost good men and women trying to save it from destruction," Robin replied.
Lex Luther ex-president of the United States in an attempt to eliminate the Justice League hired Cadmus Labs to create a device to take away heroes powers. During a struggle to stop Cadmus from finishing the device it turn on, unfinished. The machine exploded and released a stream of a new form of radiation that caused large amounts people to develop a virus and die.
The virus has killed 60% of the world's population and brought them back as undead flesh-eaters. Angry civilians overthrew their governments and pled the world into an apocalypse.
2 years later the world is in shambles small settlements have been created where groups of survivors try and survive. The few remaining league members do there best to protect the people in these settlements from groups of the undead, marauders, starvation, and even sometimes themselves.
