~Personality~

Likes: Nicholas enjoys reading, and sitting out in the sunshine.
Before he inherited the alpha role he attended college to
study literature and creative writing.
As he took upon the role as alpha he has begun to enjoy running
as a wolf and spending time to be with his friends. He enjoys working
hard and making sure that everyone in his pack is well looked after.
Dislikes: The color green, disrespect in any form, unnecessary violence, Macaroni and Cheese
Strengths: Nicholas believes that in order to create a strong pack
incorporates trust, kindness, and taking care of each pack member. He has
a kind and generous personality. One of his biggest
strengths is his ability to be diplomatic. He is also a strong fighter.
Weaknesses: Some pack members would say that because he is not an aggressive leader that
his weakness is his kindness. Nicholas does not have much patience with hunting so he allows his beta to lead the hunting/border patrols.
History: Nicholas grew up in his pack with his father as Alpha. He knew that one day
he will have to lead in his stead. Once Nicholas turned 18 he decided to leave the pack
in order to go to college. Because of his decision, the pack wasn't too keen on him
becoming the next alpha. However, during a dispute between another pack, his father
died tragically while trying to make peace. When Nicholas heard of his father's death he
quit school and moved back to lead the pack. While his friends and several other pack members
welcomed him back some of the others are still antagonistic towards him.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Assertive and fierce. She is a passionate person who sometimes
oversteps her boundaries with her temper. Her temper and impulse control are her biggest weaknesses (which was why she
wasn't chosen as alpha over Nicholas). She is also a smaller wolf in comparison to the Alpha in which others see her as weak
and does not take her very seriously.

~Personality~

Likes: Jessica likes to read and sit in the sunshine in her wolf form. Since becoming alpha after her dad stepped down, she loves working hard and making sure her pack is well looked after.
Dislikes: Lies, disrespect of any kind, unneeded violence
Strengths: Jessica is kind, loving and caring. She is also protective of her pack and anyone she loves.
Weaknesses: Caring too much for her pack. Having to ask the Beta for help when she doesn’t know what to do sometimes.
History: Jessica grew up in her pack with her dad as the Alpha. After she turned 18, her dad started teaching her how to be a good Alpha. After a few months of training, her dad stepped down and she was named the new Alpha. A lot of the other wolves were not keen on her becoming the new Alpha but after setting them straight, they accepted her as the new Alpha. Her dad's Beta Damien is still the Beta of the pack until a new one is decided on.

Deep in the forest dappled sunlight filtered through the green leaves of the trees creating a mosiac of sunlight shining down on the damp forest floor as a gentle wind blew through the trees ruffling a wolf's smokey grey pelt. It was a beautiful day. Not too hot and not too cold. It would probably be one of the last days that running patrols would be tolerable for him. He never cared for the extreme humidity that summer brought for his pelt was extremely thick. Pausing for a moment, he lifted his muzzle and took in the scents that surrounded him to check for danger.

Ever since his father was brutally killed by the other local pack, he took his duty to guard the border seriously. He had no wish to repeat the last time they came in contact with the pack. It had been two months ago when his Beta, Lilianna, caught an omega from the other pack on their land. The situation did not end well and any negotiations he had been working on with the other Alpha had stopped. Because of her actions, she was 'grounded' from patrols and was only allowed to lead hunts on the other side. He was now patrolling the border with two wolves, Brian and his best friend Lukas. Brian was Nichola's backup in case of any trouble. He wasn't planning on any trouble, but because of the tension between the two packs he could never be more cautious.

'Do you smell anything Alpha?'

Nicholas lifted his nose again. The only scents that he caught were the omega and Brian.

'Nothing yet.'

'This is boring.' growled Brian.

Brian was a pack member who had a brother get seriously hurt in the brushup two months ago and had been eager to run the border with him.

'I'd rather it be boring than have more injuries to take care of.' Nicholas responded with a little growl in his voice.

'Yes, Alpha.'

It had been bad enough that Lilianna had attacked the omega first and asked questions later. But almost every wolf that went with her on patrol had some sort of injury. This had been one of the rare times where Nicholas had lost his temper and he wasn't too proud of it. While Lilianna had been angry with him about her punishment it did earn him more respect from the other pack members. They all thought Lilianna deserved what she had gotten.

Shaking his head Nicholas forced himself to pay attention to what was happening now instead of the past. The forest was quiet with the exception of the songbirds flying in the canopy of trees. Nicholas wished he could relax and enjoy nature, but being so close to the border he had to be alert for danger.

The broad smokey grey wolf pushed through some rather think brush as his deep brown eyes surveyed the surrounding forest. Besides him stood another large russet wolve with keen blue eyes and a smaller, rather thin looking charcoal wolf with mismatched eyes. Each were cautious as they began the run around the border.

Suddenly Nicholas heard a snap of a twig and the smell of a strange she-wolf entered his big black nose. Before he could respond, Brian also caught the scent and let out a nasty snarl in the direction of where the scent was coming from.

'Relax, Brian.' Nicholas growled, raising himself above his pack member.

'Let's see who it is and what they want before we attack.'

Brian let out a small snarl and bowed his head in respect to his Alpha.

'Yes, Alpha.' He spoke, hackles raising only slightly.

Turning from Brian, Nicholas turned towards the noise, fur on his shoulders raising as he prepared for anything.

'Who is there? Show yourself.' He demanded forcefully.

In the back of his mind he hoped that this encounter would be much better than the last encounter. He was not relishing a fight, but would fight if it came down to it. Beside him Lukas let out a small whine of anxiety. He knew the omega would not last in a fight, but he was hoping that his presence would be less menacing than having several fighter wolves.

'Easy Lukas.' He reassured his friend as he listened intently for the intruder to reveal herself.

Jessica walks out from behind the bush and looks at the other wolves. She stands in front of the bush as her black fur shines in the sunlight. She keeps looking at them and lowers her ears along with her head and tail. She sits down and says 'I want to apologize for what I did when we were negotiating. I shouldn't have overstepped when I did.' She looks for the Alpha with her eyes while keeping her head down.

She looks at the ground again and waits patiently. She keeps looking at the ground with her ears down and tail tucked as she waits for the Alpha to answer. She moves one of her paws slightly and sees that she made a paw print in the ground without realizing how much pressure she is using. She hears something and looks over her shoulder to see a white wolf with hazel eyes running up to her and sighs. She looks at him and says 'Damien I'm trying to apologize for what I did.'

Damien nods and says 'I appreciate you trying to apologize to the Alpha but your only allowed to lead hunts and come straight back. Your dad's orders.'

Jessica sighs and says 'I know but I want to try to make things right.'

Nicholas listened to the dialouge between Jessica and Damien patiently observing them both. He then stepped forward in acknowledgement of the apology and dipped his head only slightly. He knew that some of his pack members would not appreciate a full acknowledgement of her apology because they were still angry about the death of his father.

'Thank you for your apology Jessica. I also would like to apologize on behalf of my beta. Her actions a couple of moons ago was not called for.'

Nicholas paused as he heard Brian growl softly.

'I hope that we can find a way to continue to negotiate a treaty between our packs. All I want is peace.'

Jessica nods and says ‘you’re welcome. Thank you for the apology Nicholas. I wish to find a way to continue to negotiate a treaty between our packs. I want peace.’ She smiles and looks at him. She keeps looking at him and says ‘maybe in a few moons we could negotiate again.’ She looks at Damien and asks ‘what do you think Damien?’

Damien looks back at Jessica and says ‘its up to you Alpha.’

Jessica nods and says ‘ok.’ She looks at Nicholas and asks ’does meeting in 3 moons sound good to negotiate a treaty between our packs?' She keeps looking at him and waits for an answer as her ears perk up a little.
