Hello hello. I've been getting back into written roleplay after a hiatus for a few years doing gaming server-based roleplay and have been jumping back in because my creative itch MUST be satisfied and writing has always been the best way for me to do so. If I could draw better, I'd make comics--alas, I cannot, at least not well enough for that. XD
A little bit about me--I go by Jinx and I've been roleplaying for nearly twenty years now and it's always been a love of mine. ^^ I am a woman, I live with my best friend and her kiddo, and I'm really starting to see that I'm a perpetual wanderer. Self-discovery--it's super fun. XD
As such, I really don't have too many rules for a partner, as I'm typically pretty easy going. They're guidelines, mostly, and are as follows:
--please, be 18 or older. Adults only--my roleplays delve into mature themes and, I'm sorry, it creeps me out if you are not of legal age. I'd honestly prefer 21 and older, but overall, if I've been roleplaying longer than you've been alive, let's just not.
--I enjoy playing both male and female characters, so I'm not too picky on that. Sometimes I'll prefer one or the other--I'll let you know if I do. I'm also okay with multiple characters--in fact, I will likely introduce many side characters that will guest star for a while, sometimes reoccurring. We are creating stories--stories have more than just the lead characters.
--I don't really know what people consider to be the standards anymore, but I consider myself to be literate. Correct spelling and grammar honestly make my heart real happy but I won't get mad over mistakes. I typically like to have at least a couple paragraphs per reply, but honestly, I will match what I'm given. So if you are only giving me a couple sentences that I can't honestly reply to, I'm gonna lose interest real fast. So if that starts to happen, let's spice things up!
--I want to work TOGETHER on our plot line here. We are doing more than just making a couple characters--we are world building, we are writing a story, so please work with me on it.
--Like I said earlier, I delve into mature themes. Violence, gore, sexual themes, etc. I do not have many actual hard limits, but if we happen across one, I will let you know. I expect the same--please tell me where you draw the line so I can respect it. Last thing I ever want to do is make someone uncomfortable like that.
--I love me some OOC chatter. I can definitely be a Chatty McChatterson. So I do like to have some OOC going where we can either talk about ourselves or the roleplay or whatever, it all is fine with me. I am always checking the site for messages, but I do have faster responses on Discord, so I am always happy to swap handles and connect there, too. But, like, hit me up here first so we can do a little planning--don't just message me with your Discord name and no other info, I'm gonna delete that.
Now for the actual fun part--what the hell do I actually wanna write about? I'll say this--I'm not a fandom person. There's very few I will actually do and that's only because I love the concept/world and we can come up with custom plots, because I only want to deal with original characters for both you and I. So you are welcome to ask but I may decline.
Otherwise, I love a wide variety! I love doing all sorts of eras, from medieval to Victorian, modern to futuristic! I'm really not too picky on that aspect.
I will say--as much as I may be a cynic in real life, I am a sucker for romance in my writing. Romance won't be the main focus, of course, but I do much prefer having it involved. As such, I am comfortable with a variety of pairings, though I have the least experience in female x female and such.
Some genres I like are:
Fantasy
Supernatural
Horror/Thriller
Mystery/Crime
Slice of Life
Anything Dragon/Dragon rider oriented
Pirates
Musicians/Music-oriented
And a huge variety of pairings that both fit in those genres and outside of it. If you have a nifty idea or plot, please let me know! I wanna hear it--we can work together to make it perfect for us. :3 I do love mixing genres and pairings and settings together, so if a couple things strike your interest, we can try to craft something unique!
