Fandom Jurassic Park/World OC Idea (CLOSED)

So the premise is that InGen has been looking to revamp their dino theme park again but since they've started using genetic splicing to create new monsters such as the Indominous Rex, which didn't end well, they get the idea that if they splice some dino dna with predominantly human genes that the resulting creatures could basically be dino wranglers for their park. Obviously due to the side effects of such experimentation they'll want the wranglers to stay in the background since experimenting on humans isn't ethical or exactly legal.

Anyway they succeed in making these creatures one with velociraptor dna (the leader), one with triceratops dna, one with stegosaurus dna, one ankylosaurus dna, one with tyrannosaurus rex dna. Those are just my ideas for which species. If you have your own favorite species of dino then let me know and we can substitute them into this list. If its not too much trouble I'd like to be the velociraptor guy.

Basically they are human and sentient with some key characteristics of their assigned dinos. Velociraptor guy will be able to run fast and have for lack of a better name bird-of-prey vision. He can see really well. As for the others I leave it up to you how far you would like to take the mutation. Was thinking since they'd be like park rangers that one of them should be a botanist. Another an expert in dinosaur behaviors. Stuff that would be useful to know to help them wrangle their herds/packs of dinos.
 
Sounds like the original premise for JP4.
What are their motivations? Are we following the abandoned ideas--are they mercenaries? Or do we have new motivations?
 
Was thinking that they were just employees that were already working on getting one of the islands that had dinos on it back up and running to where they could bring guests through. But InGen in their corrupt way thinks up the idea to have dino wranglers that they can control to ensure that the dinos don't go on a killing spree at the slightest mishap or loss of power. That's the idea anyway but these people never signed up for the experimentation. They were employees that the higher ups at InGen figured no one would miss.
 
No, I mean the motivation behind making hybrids. Like, what's the point of the hybrids themselves?
 
The point is since they're already employees and now that they're "Freaks" they'll have nowhere to go so they'll owe their lives essentially to InGen. The original intention to creating them is to make dino wranglers that can communicate and control the dinos better than an electrical fence can while being able to maintain control of the wranglers.

I actually literally wrote like 10+ lines of pure legitimately decent questions but accidentally deleted them and "undo" thinks it's funny to ignore that I deleted them. I want to die.

Ah....that's why. lol. Why must you torture me? Is it going to be tortuous questions and comments about how it wouldn't work because that's not how genetic splicing works or something along those lines?

No. Something along the lines of "How do they live how do they communicate" and stuff about their biology etc etc
Because Jurassic Park is exactly how genetics DOESN'T work, so I won't pick on the lil guys. I just need to understand if they're warm- or cold-blooded and if they wear clothes before joining or not joining.

But that's not to say your idea is bad in any way; I actually like it, which is why I'll bombard you with questions sooner or later... If you'll allow it.
 
Well I appreciate that so I think I can answer a couple questions. I would say it could vary from individual to individual. Like I would say to anyone interested it all depends on how far they would like to take the mutation. As for your second question yes they would definitely wear clothes where they could fit into them.
 
Squad141 Squad141 stick around. I wanna see if I can get this to be a group thing but if no one else is interested soon it might be just you and me portraying all of the others as npc's.
