Past history:
Brunhilde was born in Berchtesgaden, a German town in the Bavarian Alps. She enlisted to the army when she was 17, first served in the infantry before volunteering for the Panzerläufer (armoured walker) branch, her family were not very happy with her choice, with her mother referring to the mechas as “metal deathtraps” and believing she should’ve join the air force instead. After numerous deployments with the coalition forces, Brunhilde is considered one of the “panzer ace”, with over 50 confirmed bugs killed credited to her.

If a pilot, Mech description:

Panzerläufer „Carius“ Ausf B

“Carius” is an armoured walker developed by the German military against the increasing Bug menace in the front. As an advanced walker tank, the design focus on decreasing the cross section exposed to the enemy that bipedal mecha often criticised for, while also decreasing ground pressure as well as enhancing mobility with extra legs provided by the arthropods design. Akin to spiders in nature, the spider tank can manoeuvre on a vertical surface, a feature shared by a few other spider tank design.

The Carius walkers are armed with a 12 cm Schwere Schienenkanone (heavy railgun) as it’s main armament, which could provide it’s projectile enough power to cut a path through most of the mechas or bugs, additionally the canon could also fire gun-launched missiles, on top of the turret there’s also a twin mounted remote controlled machine guns for close range engagement.

As a next generation combat vehicle, the Carius walkers are outfitted with active protection system. Installed are countermeasures such as infrared jammers, laser spot imitators and radar jammers. They’re designed to prevent missile guidance from remaining locked onto the vehicle, causing the missile to miss the vehicle target or prevent it from fusing.

Active phased array radar are employed to provide continuous 360-degree protection of the vehicle under all adverse combat conditions like smoke, sand, dust, mud, glare, and explosions. Once the threat is detected, the onboard computer classifies the threat and, if a hit is probable, the countermeasure launcher slews into position and launches a tight pattern of explosively formed penetrators that neutralize the warhead before impact or detonation. The threat detection, fire control, and processing all take place in milliseconds.

The same sensors that track incoming shots at the vehicle also paint a target on the shooter, allowing an immediate response from the crew. They can return fire, maneuver out of contact, activate slew-to-cue weapons and sensors, or call for fire support. At the same time, on board system would automatically transmits the engagement data to the tactical data link, giving friendly forces immediate enemy information.

With the mass of 80 tons, although the Carius are less armoured compared to the heavier hundred-tons class mechas, their excellent mobility, decent protection provided by the latest generation composite armour and good firepower makes them a pretty good choice for armoured reconnaissance operations.

Notes on the Carius: the various systems you describe in place on the Carius each have specific labels in Battletech which would probably be used by characters in the field. Your Jamming capabilities are referred to as Electronic CounterMeasures (ECM), the phased array radar resembles a Beagle Probe (good for hunting down concealed enemy units as well), you have an Anti Missile System (sounds like a rather unique flechette style), an advanced NARC Beacon and a C3 Master.

Check out the wiki on Category:Technical Readouts and Recognition Guides : just type any of these items on the search bar and you'll get detailed specs. Can also browse the Technical Readouts (I recommend 3026, 3050, 3055 and 3058) for mecha and vehicles.
