Nothingness
Two Thousand Club
It is unclear as to how the power of innocence came to be, many believe it is a gift from God that only a select few may wield, while others believe that it is a curse and that those who have it had been touched by the Devil. On the other hand, those within the โBlack Orderโ consider that every Innocence has a will of its own and that they are all fragments from one larger piece known as the โHeart of Innocenceโ. The fragments search for those with โpure heartsโ; those untouched by corruption or darkness before bestowing upon them their power. Every Innocence is unique in its own way, there are three specific types of Innocence: Equipment, Crystal, and finally Parasitic. Only those with the power of Innocence are capable of vanquishing โAkumaโ; artificial creatures created by a malevolent force through the use of one or multiple human souls who are all deceased. It is the duty of the Black Order to โexerciseโ these Akuma with the power of Innocence to set their soul(s) free.
The most commonly used innocence type that members of the Black Order use. Innocence of this type typically takes the form of an otherwise commonly used item of which a fragment of Innocence is forged into the item. Although it might be the most common type of Innocence, it is also considered the most difficult type to control due to the Innocence not specifically being within the accommodator but rather compatible with only this specific user, meaning that only the specific user can actually wield the item and its power. Aside from that, because the Innocence is within an item, the accommodator is responsible for learning how to use the power of the item, making it do what the user wants it to do unlike with Crystal or Parasitic types and how they are generally one with the user.
An uncommon type of Innocence, crystal-type users are not bestowed upon crystal-types immediately but rather, it is an evolved form of equipment-types. It is unclear as to the exact method by which equipment-type users can evolve their Innocence into a crystal-type as every record of each crystal-type user evolving their Innocence was from a different scenario. The only thing each one had in common is that it appeared as though in each scenario, the user had experienced intense emotion and was in a situation of a near-death state where their weapon was destroyed.
By having a deep bond with their Innocence, once the weapon is destroyed, the equipment will turn into a black cube before becoming a liquid of which the accommodator must ingest, once doing so, the Innocence will run through the userโs body before it will burst from a particular spot on their body forming a permanent wound that will allow the user to form their weapon using their blood. Unlike its predecessor, because crystal-types use the accommodatorโs blood as long as the user has blood within their body, they do not need to be concerned regarding their weapon breaking in the midst of battle as well not require physical commands or motions as crystal-types responds to the Innocence and userโs subconscious cues and thoughts.
The rarest type of Innocence, parasitic-type users are born with an Innocence infused into their body causing a single limb to become morphed into a different shape/size/color. Examples of this from previous accommodators are born with their entire arm being a greyish large claw-like limb, growing large wings, becoming vampiric, etc. Although the Innocence infused limb is not made of any type of tissue found in the human body, the accommodatorโs own body recognizes it as being part of the userโs own physical structure.
Parasitic-type users tend to have a much higher synchronization rate due to how they share a form of symbiotic relationship with their Innocence. However, at the same time share a risk that if their synchronization rate becomes too low, aside from turning into a โFallen Oneโ they are at risk that their limb will become useless due to the Innocence no longer recognizing the accommodator as a worthy wielder. An advantage that parasitic-types also have is that their Innocence is capable of healing them of minor to moderate wounds as well as allowing them to be semi-resistant to Akuma Blood. However, even so, if a parasitic-type accommodator is exposed to enough Akuma Blood or is forced to ingest it, they will still become as infected as any other individual would be.
Because these types of users share a symbiotic relationship with their Innocence, they require large amounts of food for every meal they have due to each time they use their Innocence, they are draining their own physical energy for each attack/skill they use, on top of this, due to how much of a strain it puts on the user, their life spans tend to be much shorter than everyone else.
For an exorcist to use their Innocence or otherwise known as Anti-Akuma Weapon properly, they must have a decent synchronization rate with their Innocence. The synchronization rate is a numerical value that identifies the โbondโ that an exorcist has with their Innocence. The lower the synchronization rate, the harder it will be for the accommodator to invoke the power of their innocence which can end up putting the user and those around them in high amounts of danger.
When an exorcistโs synchronization rate falls below ten percent it is common that the accommodator will be unable to use their Innocence any longer. However, it is still possible to attempt and force the use of their Innocence further and drop their synchronization rate even lower. Once it reaches below zero percent, the accommodator is at risk of becoming a Fallen One.
There are two ways to have an individual become a Fallen One; one, an individual who is not the Innocenceโs choice attempts to force a synchronization with the fragment or an exorcist who has caused their synchronization rate to drop below zero percent with their Innocence by committing acts of selfishness or against the will of the Innocence.
When an accommodator becomes a Fallen One, their entire body is consumed by their Innocence causing them to become massive white torsos that have no arms towards their shoulders, no lower half from their waist, and no head from their neck up. Hovering over the neck is a single golden halo and right below the waist are massive tube-like structures that holds a single massive eyeball at the center. Fallen Ones attack with large beams of energy from every part of their body by draining the energy of the accommodator that is now trapped within the center of the Fallen One, encased within a large sphere. Within a Fallen One is a sea of memories from the accommodator.
Becoming a Fallen One amplifies every possible negative emotion that the accommodator tends to feel right before becoming said being. Whether it is hatred, envy, sadness, etc. however, it does not mean that these emotions are set into stone and the only thing the once human being can feel once becoming a Fallen One. It is possible for the human within the Fallen One to feel remorse for their actions if they can be snapped out of their delusion.
A Fallen One tends to only live for a total of 24 hours or less. During this time, it will run a rampage by firing out beams of energy through the use of draining the once humanโs life force until they die or if the Fallen One is killed by outside forces. It is impossible to save a human once they have become a Fallen One. Once said being has died, the Innocence will return to normal before going off to seek a new compatible user.
Those who reach and/or exceed one hundred percent synchronization rate limits with their Innocence or otherwise known as the โCritical Pointโ tend to reach new levels of power allowing them to unlock new powerful abilities. Those within the Black Order that reach these Critical Points are given a new rank within the order known as Generals.
Due to the actions of members of CROW being kept as discrete as possible, there have been very few times that anyone has ever witnessed the true capabilities of the use of magic. The list below is only some of which have been accurately recorded:
- Secret Art - Black-winged Flame Spirit: The user clutches a spell strip with an explosive seal on it in their hand, empowering their arm and fist with explosive energy, then release it on the chosen target by punching, resulting in an eruption of flames.
- Flame Wings: After covering the target in a multitude of destructive spell strips bearing the symbol for "flame", one or more CROW activate the strips, resulting in a flaming explosion.
- Euthanazing Ritual: This very powerful ritual casts a series of destructive spells over a target . It is powerful enough to the body of a second exorcist until the seal is not able to regenerate the body anymore and thus kill the target. The ritual requires a magic circle under the target and incantations to be performed.
- Secret Art - Binding Wings: In the midst of battle, dozens of spell strips can be summoned and used to form a ring around the target that causes their body to feel heavy, and can also be commanded to lash out to further subdue the target. The spell can also be used in a calmer setting with more precision, and can be used to bind an Exorcist's Innocence.

- Restriction Wings: Spell strips bearing a restraining seal form multi-layered barriers around the target. Before the spell is activated, the perimeters of the strips can be disrupted fairly easily, but once the spell is put into action, it lashes out violently with an electric attack that subdues the target.
