Fantasy Journey to the Lunar Sea

Eh, just a basic template will do. No need for anything really fancy, unless you want. Just a note; all characters will be human. There won't be any magic (yet). You can have up to two "main" characters, and any number of side characters. Side characters won't be directly involved with the overall plot, but they will have a recurring presence throughout the story.


In keeping with the small-ish scope of the RP, I'd have to ask that our characters be living in the town of Skystead or the nearby village of Polperro at the time the RP starts, but they could originate from anywhere. If you wanted, you can come up with your own fictional towns, countries, etc. as a place of birth for your character provided that they eventually come to reside in either Skystead or Polperro.

Affinity: (For future reference, you are to choose one of the following: Fire, Wind, Plant (Includes Wood), Earth, Light, Water (Includes Ice), Lightning, Sound, Light, Shadow or Spirit (Think along the lines of Chi.) This may or may not reflect in your character to start with, but if it does then it must be pretty vague. Say if your character has an affinity with Sound, they might be an extremely talented musician, for example. Or if their affinity is with Fire, they might be more tolerant to high temperatures than others. It could just have nothing to do with your character in any way at all to begin with if you want the "changing" to be more impactful.)

Name: Ricardo "Ricky" Valium


Age: 21


Personality: Being a bit older than most of the other young adults in the small seaport town, Ricky tends to be more quiet, a little more on the loner side than most. With his friends however he is always talkative and funny, his sense of humor is rich and influences his slightly sarcastic nature. Very mysterious, not many know much about him but in his close circle of friends, even they don't know much about his home life.

History: Born somewhere deep in the mountains Ricky came to the seaside town years ago, getting a job as a fisherman for the local market. He goes out to sea very few weeks and gets a few boatloads of fish. He has never really been in any romantic relationships, not for lack of trying, but he just never really found a girl that shared his interests or caught his eye in the right way. He spent a few years in art school somewhere apparently but it never really amounted to much. Once the stars disappeared, (before they actually did, just when the street lamps were put up), he began becoming very very interested in astronomy and studied the sky very carefully. He was actually the first one to really notice when the stars truly did disappeared from the sky and alerted the town to the fact.
