Personality: Melody is friendly, easy going and cheerful, she tends to act before she thinks which can sometimes land her into difficult situations.

Robby McCarthy


Age: 17


Personality: Quiet, meek, sweet, fearful at times, shy and usually a big baby. He wont take force, he's too afraid to be noticed that he'll hide behind people at times.

So I thought I'd do a camping trip and then they'd find themselves in Middle Earth either when they wake up the next day, on the way to the woods where thier camping the car crashes and they find their in Middle Earth or if you have any ideas you can use yours I don't mind which.


Melody and Robby may be very different from each other but they'd been best friends for a long time. It was the summer holidays and Melody had just arrived at Robby house to pick him up for their camping trip. She pressed the doorbell and waited a few moments before the door was opened by Robby."Ready to go?" She grinned.

Robby had been peeking out, before a big grin appeared when he saw the other. He had missed Melody for the longest time. Best friends forever, you get the idea. He looked inside, then to her. "u-uh almost. Hang on." he hurried inside and grabbed his inhaler and his container of hand sanitizer. Quickly, he squirted a bit in his pale hands and rubbed it in, sighing. He came back out with his bag and pillow, and his stuffed bear William of course. "all ready."

Lifting the boot of her dads Land Rover Melody took Robby's bag and placed it with hers before slamming the boot shut again. She opened the passenger door and clambered in beside Robby. "Sure you've got everything?" Her dad asked.


"Yep, we're ready to go!" Melody said clipping in her seat belt.

Robby wiggled excitedly, tacking an inhale from his inhaler before smiling. "Yes, let's go!" he giggled. The car took off and as they went on their way, Robby peered out at the forest. "are you positive it's safe out here?"

"Of course it's safe." Melody's dad replied smiling.


"Besides we have William with us, he'll keep us safe." Melody joked smiling at the Teddy bear that was sat on the seat between Melody and Robby. Melody had given the Bear to Robby for his birthday when they were younger and it had come everywhere with them ever since.

Robby flushed with embarrasment and fiddled with the teddy. "yeah I guess." he smiled slightly, before looking back out the window. "I don't know it just seems scary...er...then normal." he shivered and softly kicked his legs.

As she looked out the window Melody did think it seemed diffrent somehow. Don't be stupid it's just your imagination she said to herself.


The car came to a stop next to a path leading into the woods. Uncliping her seatbelt Melody jumped out the car and opened the boot to get the bags.


"Do you need help putting up the tent?


"No, we can do It fine ourselves, dad."


"Well, have fun then." Her dad said as he got back in the car.


Melody waved as the car pulled off.

Robby waved and grabbed his own things, tugging along his teddy bear quietly and knelt in the dirt. He didn't really mind the dirt on his clothes, it was on his skin he hated. So he squirted another small amount of disinfectant in his hand before going back to unpacking and setting things up. He heard a soft creek and looked around.

Melody pulled the tent out of its bag the metal pegs clattered out with it.


"Did you hear something, Robby?"


She asked looking up as she heard a creaking noise.


Seeing Robby looking in the direction it had she knew he must have heard too.


"Let's go see what it is." She said taking Robby's hand and pulling him with her towards where the noise had come from.

He whined, not exactly wanting to venture closer. That was slightly frightening. He clutched the teddy closer and took another inhale of his inhaler, hiding behind the other. He peered over her shoulder and trembled, eyes wide, before seeing some sort of furry being. He grabbed her arm to back up. "It has rabies! Get back!" He shouted, fearing the animal more then the rabies. It didn't have rabies though, it was just HUGE. Out came a beast, half wolf, half dog, half...half giant?!? It was bigger then any animal Robby had seen, and he began to cry loudly. "Were gonna diiiiie!"

Melody backed up until her and Robby hit a tree, the creature drew closer cornering them in. It drew its lips into a snarl but before it could lunge it slumped to the floor a dagger in its head.


Lifting her eyes from the body her blue eyes met with a pair of grey ones. He had long brown hair and pointed ears and coming up next to him was another elf who looked identical.


Melody gasped in amazement as she stared at them realizing that they were elves and that they must be Elronds sons, Elladan and Elrohir from her favourite book and movies Lord of the Rings. Looking back at the creature she realised it was a Warg.

Robby was in shock, eyes wide and teary, and hands shaking. "...Melody! Let's go!" he cried, breathing violently. "they have weapons!"


Robby fell back, dropping his inhaler. He looked about madly for it, breathing madly.

(Do you want us to be able to understand the elves? Because they would only speak elvish and Westron. I know it would be harder with us not understanding them so I don't mind which we do.)


"It's okay, Robby!" Melody said trying to calm him."I don't think they'll hurt us, they just saved us."


Spotting his inhaler she grabbed it and handed it to him.

((What if they start out where we cant, and then after they talk to each other, they talk to us? Also, Robby has a mental disability that shows up when he's frightened. he starts shaking and smacks at himself, just to tell you.))


Robby trembled and took the inhaler, shakily sucking in the medicine and staring at the two large beings. He trembled, backing into the tree more so, feet digging into the forest floor.

"Av-osto, i eneth nin Elladan." (Don't be afraid, my name is Elledan) One of the elves spoke.


Melody knew he'd spoken elvish but she knew only a few words in elvish and shook her head trying to indicate she couldn't understand.


The elves talked among each other for a few minutes and then the other one spoke.


"We won't hurt you." He said."It is dangerous in these woods you should not be out here alone."

Robby peeked out from behind the other's leg, gripping his best friends ankle and staring up at the two with an odd, fearful look. He slowly stood, whimpering. "Shouldn't we call your dad?" he asked with a whimper, trembling a bit.

"If were where I think we are we cant call my dad." Melody muttered checking her mobile phone."No signal." She showed the phone to Robby.


"What is that?" Elrohir asked.


"Oh it's....um....it's nothing." Melody said quickly slipping the phone back in her pocket and earning a strange look from both elves.

"Youre going to get us stabbed or- or worse!! thrown into a DIRTY jail!" he began to breathe violently again, shaking his hands madly. "No no no no no no!" He sobbed. "I dont want to go into Middle Earth, I just want to go home!!" he smacked his head softly and sobbed loudly.

"It's not so bad, Robby." Melody said always looking on the bright side of things."We'll get to see everything we only saw in the movies!"


Melody was maybe a little too obsessed with Middle Earth otherwise she might have thought about how they were ever going to get home rather than being excited about being there.

Robby was the exact opposite of her though, and he worried horribly of what was going to happen. He slowly sniffled and clung to the other, eyeing the tall elves before him, teary eyed and pale faced. "...You sure you wont hurt us?" he asked quietly.

"We won't harm you." Eladan said gently seeing how scared the boy was.


The twins looked at each other wondering where these strangers had come from. Their clothes were different to anything they had ever seen and they'd never seen anyone that was so fearful of a elf before.


"Can you take us to Gandalf?" Melody asked excitedly.


"You know Gandalf?" Elrohir looked surprised.


Melody nodded.


"Yes, we can take to him." Elledan nodded.

Robby clung to the other and worriedly hid behind her, sniffling. "O-okay I guess...Yeah Gandalf, that guy with the beard. Wait wasn't that Saruman?" he asked quietly, before following the other, clinging to her shirt tightly.


The elfs looked them over, and a few more gathered with them, the troupe that had followed the two into the forest. They pawed at the two and Robby squeaked, hiding his head in the other's back and hitting at his own head. "nnnonnononono dont touch!"

"Hush Robby, it's okay." Melody reassured him as she took his hand and followed the elves.


Rivendell came into sight and looked exactly how Melody had thought it would. Two elves opened the gate and notecing the visitors Elrond came over.


"They asked to see Gandalf." The twins explained.


Elrond nodded and looked the children over before saying."I'll fetch him for you."
