Joining a prexisting RP

I have done my best to inform myself and have read the rules as well as other helpful articles across the forum, however there is one thing I am not entirely clear on...


If one has found a roleplay which suits his or her fancy, how is it that they jump into it?


I am aware that a character application is required. From what I understand, a character application is a description of your character and perhaps provide an introductory scene as to give the roleplay's creator an idea of your style and abilities which they will then use to decide whether to accept you into the rp or not. My question is, where does one find the guidelines the GM is looking for in the application (seeing that I can not find them on the roleplay;s description or rules.) ?. My next question would be, where does one submit the Character application? Does one simply submit it as post in the roleplay thread?


If anyone could help me out with an explanation, or direct me to where this has been already explained, I would be very grateful.

All roleplays have several tabs - the default ones are the Main thread, where IC interaction happens, the Overview, where the RP is summarized, OOC, where players communicate, and Character Sign-Up, which will have the information you're looking for. c:
