Welp. An angry citizen. This is why Sherry had never been a big fan of street-fighting in the city. The enraged Black Belt's Revenge didn't help either. It nearly broke her spear weren't it for Snowy's intervention by appearing right under the Black Belt's feet. Heck, the blue fox might as well use him as a meat shield should the High Jump Kick from his Hitmonlee was aimed at her.

Seeing her Ninetales' target switch, Sherry decided to switch her own target as well. She spotted the Hitmonlee readying his High Jump Kick, then swung her spear to form a Sonic Boom his way.

All around Ryuko were multitudes of different Pokémon, with a family of Floatzel at play around a gentle Dragonair within the water while a hard headed Bagon smashed his head into the tree of a Murkrow's rookery in envy. Though most of these Pokémon were incredibly timid and would quite easily flee from the ninja newcomer if she approached, there seemed to be a lone Seedot, rather impressive in it's demeanour, looking at Ryuko with some consideration from the cover of long dangling vines.

Ryuko was amazed at the pokemon in the vicinity. "Wow! It's like this place was untouched by humans!"
Cubone waved its little arms in urgency.
"I know Cubone, we have a mission to complete, but maybe we can make friends here and ask for help."

Hitmonlee watched as his trainer swung at Sherry his massive fist surrounded by a brick coloured aura as she raised her spear in front of her, the two colliding and the spear almost breaking in half in the process. Before the Black Belt could continue his assault, the ground beneath him rose up like a mole hill, the Fighting Type teetering on top as two lithe white claws pop out of the dirt. Hitmonlee quickly reacted going skyward for another High Jump Kick, as Snowy shot out of the hole her whole body crashing into the Black Belt and sending him tumbling to the ground. With his fox like foe paying him no attention, the Kicking Pokemon thought he had an easy hit on his hands but his opponents were in perfect sync, covering and protecting each other as Sherry whipped her spear around with incredible speed, cutting the air towards Hitmonlee and catching him within a Sonic Boom, making the banded battler fall from the sky and hit the ground, skidding towards his trainer.

The Black Belt had already got to his knees as his Pokemon landed next to him, hitting the ground with his fist in frustration. The martial arts were about discipline and control, something he thought he had attained when he a received his prized Black Belt, but still his emotions got the better of him as he used his anger as his weapon rather than his mind. Taking a deep breath he got to his feet, his Hitmonlee following suit, the two exchanging a knowing glance as they prepared their next attack. The focused Fighting Type stretched his leg wides, as he squatted down with his ready hands outstretched in front of him as he prepared a Vital Throw while his Hitmonlee erected a barrier in front of the punchy pair, the honeycomb barrier stretching out before him.

With their Wide Guard in play, the Black Belt had forced Sherry and her Ninetales to come at them directly or at least separately, the Throh like trainer calming his mind as he stood ready.

Almost in response to Ryuko's statement, the Seedot came running over, it's body glistening like metal in the fine dew of the fog, though his goal was not to help but to hinder. The innocent Ryuko could not have known Seedot's were unseen in this type of area within the Safari Zone and so, with her momentary distraction, the guileful Grass Type proceeded to attack. Leaping off a low root, the Acorn Pokémon tried to slam into the Dragon Type with a whole body Tackle, his Hardened muscles adding to the power of the attack.

Battlefield: hailstorm, Aurora Veil on Cherry's party

Great... the ice-type duo mentally groaned at the honeycomb-like barrier in front of their foes. Seeing the mess they had caused, the two promptly turned to each other and nodded in agreement. Sherry, for one, swung her spear for another round of Sonic Boom at the Black Belt before executing their, uh, plan.

With the Wide Guard in play, Snowy's usual method of Dazzling Gleam would be rendered unusable. Instead, she and Cherry opted to act like (Undertale spoiler ahoy~) Frisk when they had to run away from Undyne in order to spare her. As with Sherry's stunt with Kurama the other day, Snowy let her trainer ride on her body backwards, then launched herself with Freeze-Dry at her full power to propel themselves to the beachfront where Sherry and Ryuko had landed earlier. While this could be seen as running away, the girls' real intention was to avoid further damage to the buildings around them by retreating to an open space. Too late, yeah, but still better than never.

With the Steel Types scolding of the Bisharps and Chance's own reassurance, Jackie left his amp producing ally to fight alone in the pit, pushing off the railing as he slipped one of his Pokeballs back onto his belt. With the other in hand he was ready for battle, or so he thought, as someone whispered in his ear "It's truly insulting you think you have the choice, far more insulting than your pitiful remarks."

Jackie turned just in time to catch a translucent shadowy fist to the cheek "I should have stayed behind and killed you myself."

The decked Dark Type caught on to the railing as he stumbled only to disappear in a flash of light, his Wormadam taken his place. Appearing on the other side of the catwalk, behind the ghastly Ghost Type, stood the harried Hyde who started to take on a yellow glow as he seemed to transform. Without his audacious Fur Coat to mask his body, his impressive physique was revealed once again to the world. His tattered trousers, now akin to long shorts, revealed his powerful leg muscles which twitched in anticipation and the robust biceps and defined abs of his toned upper body, formerly blanketed by his grand garment, strained against his Assault Vest as if woken from a long slumber. Jackie wrapped the last vestiges of his Fur Coat around his wrists and forehead, no longer the Untouchable Hyde, the coatless cur had changed Forme, his runners build showcasing his past time On the Run.

His latent legs, Unburdened by the Fur Coat he previously held, were raring to go and Jackie would put all this speed to good use. "Wormadam, Metal Sound!" Jackie called out, appearing before the Steel Type practically at the same time his words reached his Pokémon. Hanging from the railing the Bagworm Pokémon let loose a horrible sound, like that of screeching metal, at the sneaky spectre, the noise coinciding and intermingling with Jackie's swing as he unleashed a Feint Attack at the osmium Oni.

Instead, he took the option involving trailing Anne as she headed out the door. The three following Anne from a distance far enough so that they could at least see her, as well as taking some cover behind anything that was there though this would prove a bit of a problem for the dragon as he was quite the big pokemon. "Just what were those glyphs that Takemora mentioned?" recalling those he saw earlier before meeting up with those 2 guys. A couple of quick looks to Excalibur and Onyx would be only to affirm to stay silent for now as they continued tailing her.

He wasn't just listening for her though, if he could hear either Chance or some of the other guys he ran into, like a certain metalhead, though would work as well, though it wouldnt be good at all.

The Black Belt watched as Sherry swung her spear around in front of him, the speed of her wintery weapon rivalling that of a small fighter jet as with a thunderous crack the pilot like princess unleashed a Sonic Boom. Bracing as the sonic shock waves crashed into his body, the Fighting Type held his stance and his ground as Snowy's Freeze Dry quickly followed, the jet of cold air buffeted his bare skin, covering him in goose bumps and making his body hair stand on end. Though when the cool mist settled, he was surprised to see his opponent gone, not realising her attack wasn't aimed at him but was a means of snowy subterfuge.

Looking all around him but unable to see or hear Sherry he snorted derisively, thinking his opponent had fled in the knowledge his four turns countdown was up. Returning Hitmonlee to his pokeball, the Black Belt headed back to the Gym to meet up with his fellow fighters and their pugilistic prisoner. Taking the long way back, flush with his victory, the muscular martial artist headed near the docks, his black haired head visible from the beach bobbing up and down as he walked. His route took him the long way around the gym and anyone watching would see him nod at one of his fellow Fighting Types, the other Fighting Type seeming to guard the side entrance to the gym. A small conversation was held by the two, their voices muffled before the Hitmonlee user continued his stroll and entered the massive gyms main doors.

The battle between Cinder and Falco had been raging for quite some time. Both fighters had sweat on their brow, be that from overexertion or the rising heat that could cook a Blaziken. Flashes of light exploded out of the crumbling walls of the gym and through it's windows with each clash of the fire type attacks. A bit of a crowd had gathered, but none dared to venture inside. If they did, they might spontaneously combust on the spot.

Once more Cinder and Falco flew at each other, both with raging cries. Their fists collided, their respective fire punches dissipating with a blast of air. Disengaging rather suddenly afterwards, Falco held up a single hand and looked away from Cinder, even as the blazing battler was preparing a breath of fire which would have consumed Falco's form.

"Stop, I concede. I don't have time for this any longer,"

Cinder lowered the bursting flamethrower back into his throat and chomped his teeth as he replied, a bit of flame escaping his gnashing.

"LIKE HELL, FEATHERS! WE DON'T STOP UNTIL I SAY!"

"Listen to me! I'm a friend of Chance's. I've been fighting you to keep up appearances, but now that your friend is past my cover might as well be blown."

"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANY OF THAT! I ONLY CARE ABOUT BATTLE! WE'RE BOTH FIRE TYPES! MEANT TO DESTROY, NOTHING MORE! YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT CAN'T YOU?" Cinder was neurotic and screaming. Now that some of the heat had died down and their battling stopped a few scared Violet City natives ventured into the gap caused by his hyper beam in the wall. Falco's eyes flitted to them briefly, before Cinder fired a second one slightly smaller than the first at the start of the battle.

"SACRED FIRE!" Said Falco, meeting it with a column of flame which absorbed the fading light of the attack. "THAT'S ENOUGH! PRIDE WILL BE THE DEATH OF THE WHOLE NATION IF WE DON'T GO HELP HIM NOW!" Falco composed himself and looked away, closing his eyes to bite back his anger. "You're wrong. Fire is an element of survival. It cooks our food, and forges our steel. It has allowed the salvation of humans. It is not only a raging force of destruction,"

Cinder seemed to be taking the words to heart at first, his fire holding him in the air dimming only slightly. Then, he turned from accepting to wrathful once more, and like a rocket erupted through the ceiling of the Gym. Falco looked on at the new hole in his ceiling and sighed.

"Where do you find these people, Chance,"

Ryuko heard footsteps comming up from behind her, causing the Trainer to see the Seedot approach. "Hey, you're a real cutie! Mind helping us with- Ack!"
Her question interrupted by the grass type which slammed into her, Ryuko was sent flying back and rolled downhill towards the crystal clear lake. His mother, too busy tumbling downhill to give him a command, Cubone brought his club up and ran at the Seedot, using Brutal Swing to hit the seed pokemon.

The Seedot Hardened once again, Cubones Brutal Swing clanging against his acorn like helmet and causing his club to bounce off. The Acorn Pokémon quickly sidestepped around the Ground Type positioning himself next to the slope Ryuko had just fallen down, blocking Cubones way as he began to store energy for his next attack.

As Ryuko performed her impromptu Gyro Ball down the hill, mud splattering in every direction as she tumbled before sliding to a stop by the waterside and scaring the family of Floatzel that had been so happily playing a few moments ago, the Water Type Pokémon diving beneath the waters surface at her sudden appearance. Though as she outstretched her hands to right herself she would find she fallen into a deadly trap. All around her were sharp toothed Snap Traps, perfectly positioned and placed as if by the millimetre and all obscured in the long grass. It was only thanks to her current position, knee high in the grass, that the Dragon Type could see the terrible traps herself but anything else wouldn't have been so lucky though in her current state maybe Ryuko wasn't either.

"Welcome to my world Civilian!"

Above Ryuko, out of the trees, emerged a man clad head to toe in mud and leaves, the very same ones that the Seedot had been standing next to before he attacked. If the Dragon Type was close enough she could see the man's military khakis hidden amongst the foliage he now wore, it's design blending in well with the mans natural Camouflage though these couldn't hide his athletic build nor his piercing green eyes, which looked down emotionlessly at the young ninja as she stood within his trap "Command told me to expect trouble so I had my Pokémon, Private, here on watch duty. And once we got the intel from the new recruit that you were coming, we set up an ambush."

He looked down at the Snap Traps surrounding Ryuko. "I was hoping to catch some Pokémon with it but one of you insurgents will do."

I fell into a trap yet again?!
Ryuko looked to her surroundings on the ground. She couldn't stand without setting off the Traps. Cubone himself couldn't attack the Seedot without facing the same predicament. The worse part? These traps were specifically set to capture pokemon in the most inhumane way there was.

Ryuko growled. The guy in the tree that stated he'd take her back to whoever gave him intel, and from what was implied it was Kabu Corp. She wouldn't have it. She now knew why the Lickitungs and their Licklicky crashed the picknic earlier. Ryuko levitated into the air while she was on all fours, before hovering in mid air, in which she positioned herself upright and turned towards the poacher. A blue aura surrounded her as she pointed her hand at the Snap Traps in the area, firing Dragon Pulse after Dragon Pulse to destroy them.

"People like you disgust me..."
Smoke roiled off of the broken traps as glared at him, with intent to harm in her eyes.

Kassandra's eyes widened in surprise as she was no longer staring at a trainer but it's Pokemon. Her head whipped from side to side. It was clear she was used to pulling tricks of the same sort, not having them pulled on her. She didn't have time to sneak out her pursuer's new position, however, as she doubled over are grabbed her ears. The Wormadom's metal sound pierced her eardrums painfully, and she let out her own shriek in response. Was he that fast before?

At the same time, Sergio had just been about to clear the distance between him and the Dark type when he was interrupted by one of Kabu Corp's enforcers. Anne Michelle had handed him a strange stone tablet right as the fight was beginning. He looked down at where she'd shoved it in his hand, and in the next moment a Dark Type strike was coming upwards at the jaw of his helmet. His head was thrown to the opposite side, and though his body didn't budge an inch a sound like a bell reverberated from his solid Metal Coat of armor. The shock threw the stone tablet from his grasp down into the pit below at Chance's feet. Then, Sergio slowly turned his head back towards Hyde. In the holes of his helmet, a look of rage poured out of his dark brown eyes at the speedy sneak.

Without so much as a grunt the tall and broad Steel Type lifted his other fist, and some of the metal covering his body collected off of him and onto his off hand. Gradually it formed some sort of large tower shield. For a moment it briefly flashed with a glint of Steel Type energy, denoting the activation of the move King's Shileld. As a result the Metal Coat had exposed his head, and a bit of his back between his shoulder blades. Overall the armor had gotten thinner as well, which contributed to the King's Shield looking formidable. Sergio had a long black main of hair which spilled over his armor which could almost rival Kassandra's.

In a quick but short movement Sergio ducked his head behind his shield, leaving only his eyes to peer at Jackie as he stabbed his jagged blade of scrap metal at his center mass.

"Oh? Who is this?" Asked Anne, as if Sergio and Hyde were reunited pals.

"Do I look like I know?! Anne, go back and get Moriarty. We're leaving, this place is compromised,"

"Okay!" Said Anne like a cheerful child. She turned on her heels, without hesitation and made to sprint back down the hallway the way she'd came. She stopped very suddenly, however, as she nearly ran into the cute Fairy Boy she was supposed to kill the previous day. She squeeked in surprise, and her face went red again. She looked angry and covered her face, yelling "EEEEP! Did you follow me?! CREEP!" And then dashed into the darkness. Excalibur chuckled a low growl at her expense, and jabbed Andy in the ribs. He started making kissy faces at him, and pointing towards Anne as she ran away.

Chance Bridgerton

Chance had caught one of the three deadly Steel Types off guard with his Charge Beam, however the one who successfully dodged hadn't hesitated after a hole was vaporized through his friend. He didn't seem to care, ruthlessly trained by their Elite Four master. As such he loosed a flurry of Bullet Punches, as his remaining partner regained his composure and pursued Chance from across the ring. Mimicking the Electric Type he put his blades together and between them a Flash Canon began to charge. Chance raised his arms and brandished his blade as the attack caught his eye. The other Bisharp closer to him didn't seem to want to let him deflect the attack as he was planning, and slashed a huge gash on his right arm. Chance grit his teeth and bore the brunt of the slash, without so much as a flinch. He charged up his own sword and waited like a sentinel unwavering for the steel type attack to make it's way to him.

The Flash Canon erupted at him over the half length of the pit, and just as it collided with his blade he turned it towards the closer pokemon on his right. The combined force of his Charge Beam and the Flash Canon deflected and engulfed the Bisharp entirely, causing him to fade into nothingness in the middle of the light. His partner seemed shocked and saddened that he had contributed to the death of his brother. With tears in his eyes he covered the distance between he and chance. They went back and forth, slashing and parrying for a moment in a flurry of incredibly fast blades. Finally the Bisharp got sloppy, and Chance made a simple step into his guard. The Bisharp twirled to the right and barely caught Chance's stab on his side, and backhanded Chance across the face. it left a hell of a bleeding wound to add to his uncountable cuts. Chance again maintained his composure and turned the edge of his sword to point toward Bisharp's neck.

A violent slash came around which threatened to behead the steel typ monster, however he ducked it deftly. Chance cursed, not wanting to prolong the poor monster's suffering longer than he had to. The creature was clearly well trained, likely through brutal methods so as to not blink in the face of it's own death. It readied another flash canon, and forced the tips of it's blades into Chance's ribs. The flash canon tore through his body, impaling him with the white beam of light. Chance coughed, and spit up blood onto the metal floor.

The Grass Type looked on in surprise as his perfectly placed traps were blown away one by one by the levitating Ryuko's Dragon Pulse, though the only indication of such feelings was a single raised eyebrow. "People like you disgust me..."

By the end of her assault the whole area around her looked just like a battlefield, the ground pocked with smoke filled craters where his deadly devices used to be. Still he was a soldier and the battlefield was his home and no amount of words could scare him, meeting her grudging glare with his own steely gaze. "Looks like I may have underestimated you soldier. You may actually be worth my time but I have my orders. And this soldier always see's his orders through."

"Private, fall back to the secondary engagement point!"
he commanded. "Tangrowth, cover us!"

From beneath one of the nearby mangrove trees, a pile of vines began to stir with a life of its own, it's saucer like eyes opening amid the tangled mess of it's body as it slowly rose to it's feet. Seedot used the Vine Pokémon's sudden appearance to disengage from his fight with Cubone, ducking off to the side as he headed towards his trainer, the tactile trooper already disappearing back into the foliage from whence he came. Lifting his vast vine like arms in front of him, Tangrowth reached out with his red tipped fingers, the appendages stretching towards Ryuko and Cubone as he try to Bind them and cover his allies escape.

BUNKER BAILE
Amongst the crowd of onlookers that had begun to gather outside of the gym, there was one who stood out from the rest. With dusty brown hair, a burnt orange beard and a distinctive fiery patterned coat, he had travelled to Violet City at the request of its Gym Leader, Falco Grayson, but the sight that greeted him was a rather unexpected one. The taut traveller was well aware, from personal experience, that Gym Battles could get heated but the fight that raged inside there seemed to be on a whole other level.

There were holes punched into the Gym's walls and those that still stood looked on the verge of collapse. From the flashes of light that stained the night sky to the distinct heat that hung in the air, the brawny bystander discerned that within the building before him, two Fire Types were clashing in battle as they fought for dominance against the other. He knew the heat from the battle would incinerate anyone who would dare venture too close so he remained at a safe distance alongside the others and simply watched the unfolding spectacle with a degree of nostalgia and melancholy.

After a few minutes, the stout spectator could feel the heat in the air drop but as a precaution he brought his coat across his chest before carefully attempting to make his way inside. His coat was made of fire resistant materials so he hoped it would offer enough protection should things suddenly heat up again. Some of his fellow onlookers had similar ideas and timidly ventured inside through a hole in the wall.

As the cautious contender stepped into the Gym, he looked up to see what he assumed was a Gym Challenger crash through the ceiling and rocket into the night sky. Perhaps the fight had become too much for him? But the thoughtful fighter knew from experience that it was important to know your limits, lest you push yourself too far. It was a lesson he had ended up learning the hard way.

"Grayson? It's Bunker. You alright?" Bunker croaked loudly, as he looked around for the Flying Type Gym Leader. Thanks to the injuries he had suffered over a decade ago, the scarred scrapper's voice had acquired a distinctive hoarseness to it. "You said you had a Rattata problem that required my assistance?"

Falco looked away from the hole in the ceiling and downwards towards the familiar voice which had come through the gaping hole in the wall.

“I have to be honest with you old friend, I’m a little out of breath after that one,” The leader’s wings folded around his body and relaxed a bit like some feathery cloak. In his voice he seemed happy to see his acquaintance, but his face remained somber. “Well, they’re definitely down there. I think you and I may be late to the party, however. A couple of upstarts got the drop on me, one of them made it down. He’s definitely blown my cover sky high, but it’s my fault for not letting them in on our plot from the beginning. I should have trusted Chance’s idea to bring in more people, but here we are anyways,” While he spoke Falco went over to the trampoline beneath the now-half-melted platforms and undid a few hooks so that it uncovered the stair well. “Hope you’re wide awake, the moment we get down there we become fugitives. You wanna take Sergio or Kassandra?”

The bird man of Violet City lead Bunker down the stairs, which were covered in sand and rubble from the ceiling above for quite a few paces. In the dark metal stair well the Leader’s voice echoed well.

BUNKER BAILE
If Bunker thought the outside of the Gym looked bad, the inside was far worse. There was debris everywhere, half melted platforms, broken support columns and the floor had been turned to sand in some places. Bunker heard Falco's voice from above as his feathered friend floated downwards and landed next to him before folding his wings across himself like a feathery cloak.

"You're beginning to show your age, Grayson." Bucker teased, as he let out a throaty chuckle. But the bantering brawler couldn't really talk, he was no spring chicken himself, in fact, looking at him, you would think he was more like a chicken that had been left in the oven on a high heat for a little too long.

Falco explained the situation to Bunker as he made his way to the trampoline and undid a few hooks to expose the stairwell underneath. "Don't beat yourself up, Grayson. It does no one any good dwelling on the past, we've just got to keep pushing forward. Besides, I'm sure Kabu Corps lackeys will be more than obliging to knock you around a bit."

The two talked as they made their way down the stairs, careful to avoid any rubble, as they proceeded underground. The thought of becoming a fugitive did little to deter Bunker, he was well acquainted with the travelling lifestyle after all. "Leave Sergio to me. These fists won't do me much good against Kassandra anyway."

Ryuko drew her two swords and ran towards the Tangrowth, bringing her blades up which glowed blue as she sliced through the Tangrowth's arms with ease. Was it cruel of her to do? Not exactly. Remembering the Tangela she battled with back in the past, during the beginning of her journey, she knew that certain grass type pokemon can regrow their lost appendages.

Now with the Tangrowth having been Disabled, Ryuko put her swords away and fired a Dragon Pulse towards Tangrowth's body.
She then ran ahead to catch the run away bad guy, as Cubone ran up to her and leaped onto her right shoulder.

The nurturing ninja's Dragon Pulse blew a small chunk out of his viney vestige, the matted clump now resting in the wet grass, though the large Pokémon was unfazed, the loss of vines an almost daily occurrence, with Ryuko's knowledge about Tangela's and, in turn, Tangrowth's ability to regrow lost limbs proving true. But she highly mistook the rate at which the Vine's Pokémon's limbs could regenerate as the Grass Types vast viney arms extended before her Blocking the Dragon Types escape.

Thanks to her swordsmanship however that was the best he could do for now as his arbour appendages needed more time to truly recover, the red tips of his fingers gradually reforming amongst the tangled tendrils that barred her way.

However Tangrowths had other means to attack than just their vines, with such creatures extremely rare in the wild, the only sure way to obtain one was to unlock it's prehistoric potential, something his Elite trainer easily accomplished. And so the tangled titans body began to shine with an Ancient Power, thick clods of mud and dirt hovering around him. With an almost primal growl erupting from his bountiful body Tangrowth released them, the hardened chunks shooting towards Ryuko.

Ryuko leaped back to avoid getting hit by Ancient Power. She tried to think about what to do in order to get past the Tangrowth, but Cubone took inititive. He let out a cry for help, and hopefully some wild pokemon heard him and would rush to aid him if it was answered. Ryuko looked to her partner and nodded, as she put her swords away and waved her arms at Tangrowth. "For a grass type you sure move slow! Are you sure you aren't actually a Rock?!"
She taunted, in hopes the Tangrowth would try and run at her for it.

Jackie had seen an exchange happen as another woman appeared on scene though his focus didn't waver, his speedy strike seeming to put an end to it, the item flying out of his osmium opponents hand as his blow rung true. Quite literally, as the metal coat reverberating loudly from his attack, only for some of it to slowly slip away and gather, pooling together to form a tremendous tower shield in his free hand. The shield shone for a moment before the Steel Type ducked behind it and attacked.

Jackie watched almost in slow motion as the jagged blade came at him, though Sergio's eyes were what had really gotten his attention. Full of rage and defiance even as he cowered behind his shield, the Steel Types gaze brought back bad memories for the haunted Hyde, when he used to live rough rather than roughhouse and eat scraps, not get into em. Undoubtedly Jackie must have had the same look himself as he hid behind trashcans and dumpsters from the reprobates and rozzers of his youth. Even the scrap shank that Sergio wielded was making him look a mirror in time to Jackie, using whatever you got your hands on just to survive on the streets.

"Oh? Who is this?"

"Do I look like I know?! Anne, go back and get Moriarty. We're leaving, this place is compromised,"

The conversation he overhead was secondary as the blade began to dig into Jackie's vest so with a quick step to one side, the steel sword grazed across his side, small sparks coming off the metal and Kevlar in the process before Jackie swung his elbow down into the blade. Catching the smooth side of the blade, the spiky haired sprinter aimed to disarm if not wedge the thing into the ground in a display of Foul Play. Looking at the mountainous man, Jackie was almost tempted to leave him be, behind his shield, with just a Parting Shot but Sergio wasn't some scared kid just trying to hold on to his little patch he called home, no, he was a merely a callous enforcer for some corrupt higher ups willing to throw other's lives away for gain. So with that thought, it was time to make him pay.

Using the Steel Type sword for a springboard, as well as the railing, the fleet footed fighter would attempt to catch his ferrous foe in the face with a kick as he leapt before smashing his elbow into the back of his neck in an act of Assurance. Meanwhile the tip of Wormadam's nose began to glow like a holiday Stantler as she charged up a Psybeam, letting loose the peculiar ray into her deafened opponent.

With his red tipped fingers finally growing back, Tangrowth recoiled his arbour arms beside him as he lumbered towards Ryuko, her taunts succeeding in gathering his attention as he lumbered towards the Dragon Type. Far too large to rush her on his stubby feet, the Vine Pokémon instead began to swing the tremendous tendrils that were his arms one by one as he approached her, the Powerful Whips travelling in a downward arc in an attempt to lash, if not squash, Ryuko.

Cubones cry appeared to go unanswered, the Lonely Pokemon seeming to live up to it's name, with no Pokémon in sight. But right behind the small skull wearer his very shadow seemed to stir, the shady silhouette distorting from left to right before a darkened object moved up his spine and into his helmet. The skull rattled, bobbing up and down, before a ghostly Pokémon appeared sprawling out of the thing with a copy of it's very own. It was a Duskull.

The Requiem Pokémon loved the sound of children crying and so answered Cubone's call, sensing the tiniest bit of desperation in it's voice. But what it really wanted was to hear him scream and so the Ghost Type turned it's single red eye on Tangrowth. Hoping to use him as a means to scare the Ground Type, Duskull summoned a sinister flame to make the Grass Type suddenly catch light.

Ryuko flipped back and away from the whips as she saw the Duskull manifest in a instant. She looked to Cubone and smiled, before looking back at the Tangrowth that was getting hit by Duskull's Will-o-Wisp.
Ryuko put her hands together and fired a Dragon Pulse at the distracted Tangrowth before looking to the Duskull.
"I never met a pokemon like you before, but I'm happy you came to help! That Tangrowth has a mean owner who likes to torture others!"

She said this in the chance the Duskull understood what 'mean owner' meant and it would lend her help in capturing the poacher.

Duskull looked at the Dragon Type with some interest, the mention of a mean owner tantalising him somewhat as if he proved young enough maybe he could have some fun with him. Still he was enjoying his time with Cubone right now, though he wasn't as receptive to his scaring as he might have liked, thought the Ghost Type, but his trainer did seem quite young, just on the cusp of adulthood, maybe she could give him a scream?

With Ryuko's Dragon Pulse wafting the flames of her new friend's(?) Will of Wisp, the fire spread beginning to travel up towards his left arm but Tangrowth's body was a mass of damp vines, with layers upon layers of the thick ivy, making the Pokemon difficult to catch light even with it's type. Small clumps of the charred creepers fell off his body as he readied another attack, only for the Vine Pokémon to suddenly ignite.

Hoping to scare Ryuko and Cubone, Duskull's single eye glowed blood red as he focused on the growing flame casting a Hex on Tangrowth and turning it into a relentless blaze which quickly began to consume the spaghetti like shrub. Like napalm on his skin, the Grass Type writhed in agony as his bountiful body peeled away in blackened blobs, smouldering in the mud. Tangrowth made a run for the nearby lake before it was too late and all his veiling vines were lost, a slow and arduous task for the massive Pokémon who fell into the water with an unceremonious splash in hopes of quenching the flames.

With the Vine Pokémon disappearing into the depths, Ryuko felt a sudden momentum beneath her feet as if the ground itself were spinning on an axis and rotating. Those with keen eyes could possibly see the trees and shrubbery move in one direction as an opening seemed to be appear from out of nowhere in the distance.
