TacoRocky Your character is most cordially accepted! I have some ideas for how you'll be introduced, but you'll have to wait at least until this battle ends. Also, since your gym leader is on a hiatus of sorts, I'd allow you to catch/use pokemon of other types. I'm starting to think that was a silly rule anyways, outside of the official pokemon league tournament.

That Scrafty he had released to stop Aquas jet was proving to be quite the nuisance , especially when she was blasted by what he figured was a flash cannon. She did get blasted away back to Andy taking a fair bit of damage from it, but she was nowhere near done yet.

That did warrant a bit of caution from the trainer however "Seems this guy is good with defensive strategies. Okay then, we are going to have to play this a bit differently then" he thought to himself while andy now looks to launch a few pink stars at the Scrafty for now.

The steel type man did not pull out a scrafty, Twist's scrafty smashed the fish tank. Go back and read his last post for clarification. The steel type bear hugged aqua after her aqua jet. Please edit your post accordingly.

Just to clarify on my recent post:

• The Blizzard did connect on both Sherry and Kurama, but a not-very-effective attack + Aurora Veil = Blizzard's bare minimum damage.
• Sherry uses Lock-On for this turn and is saving her Ice Punch for later, hence the icy fist.

I'm not really sure if I'm allowed to ask stuff like this yet or at all, but I wanted to put it out so I had it for when Patty got brought in; has everyone in the group taken the Johto Gym Challenge or is it just a select few? And if it's the latter, who's taken it?

Sherry started her gym challenge just a year ago, so yeah. Was Patty's team during her gym battle with Sherry as stated in your CS? Or who wasn't there at the moment?

Patty has had all of her team for a while, save for Dollop, her Igglybuff, which she just started raising. But all six of the actual team Patty has had for at least five years; Corduroy was the latest addition.

And before I forgot, is it possible for Pokemon Amie-like effects (e.g. shrugging off status ailments or enduring things that otherwise would KO the mon out of their love for their trainer) to kick in?

Switching is always fine, but pokemon amie effects arent. Your pokemon can be very motivated and power through damage due to it's love for you, but effects are non negotiable once they take hold.

The swifts were mainly just to get him to do something, not to actually damage him and it seems he was biting it as well. Andy seeing the guy easily deflect said stars away like gnats while warming up his fists to slam into the ground. While he does that however, Andy looks to Aqua and points to the ground, "Bulldoze when he smashes the ground " he whispers while watching this guy advance menacingly to them, to have both dodge in opposite directions just as he is about to slam the ground.Aqua slamming the ground with a bulldoze of her own and Andy throwing down a spirit break in the from of a clenched fist onto this guys head

Be careful of the metagaming, my friend. There's no way your character could have known this far ahead he was about to smash the ground. The attack is still fine.

The psychic type waived her hands and this time a light screen dome formed overtop of her, which was meant to stop Cinder's Flair Blitz. The plan was a fickle one, however. The blue flame shattered the feeble defense, and the attack hit her with full force. She collapsed into the ground beneath the force and flame, and let out an annoyed cry. The psychic type then screamed an angry shriek, and Cinder would find himself flying upwards involuntarily propelled by an unseen force. The telekinesis carried him at blinding speed to collide with the cave ceiling, which would certainly cause the air to leave his lungs from the impact.
