    It had been years since Dib had seen Zim. he had started his own life now, a highly intelligent man. he went to college, just to shut his father up. only for him to find himself falling in love with inventing and engineering. specifically robotics. He goes on to graduate from college with a masters degree in just that. He doesn't have much interest in the paranormal again, seeing as it was only just a "teenage phase" as his father puts it.
    
    Not long after, Dib finds him a s/o, and they plan to get married soon. Of course, he seems to have the perfect life. that is, until Zim returns.
    
    Zim has done quite well for himself. Hes went rogue from the irken empire, despising them now, and in return joins the resisty. He has doen everything in his power to gain Lard Nars trust, and actually gets along with him just like a friend. eventually, Zim gets his pak reincoded by Lard Nar, which leaves him able to feel basic emotions other than aggressive ones. basically, he's more humane. because hes so not used to this, he ends up having trouble dealing with them. so Lard Nar orders his 'second in command' to go to earth and "figure shit out" after an argument between the two.
    
    Zim ends up on earth only to find a 29 year old dib. Dib clearly wants nothing to do with Zim, but Zim insists on befriending dib, as the man WAS the only one who remembers him....
    
    Will Dib eventually let his own feelings get the better of him or will he push Zim away? How will his s/o feel about Zim?
