My Interest Check
The future of Jarack, War of shadows and fire. The cs page is here and the sheet below is the bare minimum that I need to see to accept a cs but feel free to add to it if you want. Once I rate your sheet with a cookie your character is accepted.
Dont be afraid to ask questions and lab out a character in the PM with faction info. I have more to share about each faction but It can be ignored or discovered in game.

I'll post my cs when I get time and as I have multiple npc characters I may bunch some mini sheets into one post for them.
=================
Name:

Kingdom:

Age:

Gender:

Personality: (don't need a big story but give us a idea how this person acts and is)

Appearance: (I prefer anime and art then real pictures, please give a description even if you have a picture. List stuff that can be noticed like height or certain unique features/flaws.)

Mana: (what magic power your character has if any. Only Elves would have more than one here.)

Strengths: (what your character excels at)

Flaws: (no one's perfect, for three strengths list a flaw)

Gear: (what your character travels with, if they carry multiple weapons, items, tools etc list it otherwise your character shall be treated as a crazy person when said character imagines they pulled out their trusty sword)

Backstory: (be vague or write alot, I may ask for a change if something seems off.)

Extra:
(This is just extra shit, maybe if your character knows of another or has met them you can list it here.)

Changes may come, I'm recycling this so any time the name "Yahno" pops up know its Lalo but I missed it. Also need to get the art in proper.

Name: Lalo Stawa

Kingdom: Akuma

Age: 30

Gender: male

Personality: Confidence in human form, Lalo is as charming as he is devious. A Curious and hungry nature that always pushes the man towards his goals and desires. Lalo is a show off first and hunter second, fond of any events he can flaunt his skill and power.
03BD308D-26E0-41A7-8222-DD0FCD30F000.jpeg.jpg
Appearance: standing at 5ft10 with messy black hair and a bright blue eye. Lalo is definitely handsome if he is cleaned up and smiling, his left eye was lost in battle and his face is usually wrapped in cloth to hide this.
Like most from Akuma Lalo is athletic and strong from growing up in the altered lands. One might say he is in tremendous physical condition.
Lalo has many marks from battle but only the one noticeable scar across his eye and nothing worth mentioning below the neck. Usually wearing simple clothes that are easy to move in.

Mana: Lalo is talented with electricity, able to conjure and control thunder and lightning in various ways.

Strengths:
Peak physical form, like most from Akuma Lalo has strength and speed from growing up as a tribal in the wilds.
Talented, years of practice with his mana have resulted in Lalo being inspiring and fearsome with his control of electricity.
Talented warrior, a formidable combatant at close range or a distance.
Adept with runes, Lalo lacks the knowledge to be considered a rune master but he is better than most when it comes to magic crystals.
Hunter gatherer, well versed with survival in the wilds of all Jarack.

Flaws:
Missing a eye, can only see out the right eye.
Addict, the alcohol from Jareedi and Maho are leagues better then the fermented fruits the Akuma manage to make. Lalo will always drink if it is available to him.
Naive, despite travelling around Jarack and learning much Lalo still is unaware of many different things and customs. Such as bowing infront of royalty for example.
Can hardly read, Jareedi or Maho text, oddly though his handwriting of both is notably decent.

Gear:
Lalo prefers to wear the simple clothes, he carries a dragontooth dagger.

As the Legend King's first born son and a chosen warrior of Akuma, Lalo was gifted armor and weapons from the Akuma vaults.
A "magic sword"

A "magic blaster"

A variant of "Chosen" Armor Akuma warriors might wear.
images.jpeg-60.jpg

Backstory:
Lalo Stawa grew up like most in Akuma with family and friends living off the wilds, though Lalo learned the other lands would call his people savages and tribals he still enjoyed and respected the Akuma way of life. Living in simple homes, dressing in the furs of slain monsters and beasts, hunting and foraging, earning your rank and honour in combat.
At the age of fourteen Yahno was already considered a talented and worthy hunter, by age sixteen he was chosen as a elite warrior and gifted his treasured sword and protective garbs.

It was then he decided to roam the lands to see what he could find and learn. Lalo was able to travel across Jarack and experience much, he became addicted to Maho wine the moment he tasted it. It's safe to assume Lalo has committed crimes across the lands and has either been sneaky enough to go unnoticed or to powerful for local authorities to detain or kill. After five years of roaming Lalo returned home to find his aged father fighting to unite the tribes of Akuma, Yahno helped.

At age twenty nine Lalo and a team of hunters had a encounter with a mysterious enemy. Though casualties happened Lalo was able to lead four hunters to drive off a full ship of invaders.
At present times Yahno is known throughout Akuma as king Welt's eldest son,"the trusted traveller"

Extra:
Only the elite and chosen of Akuma have "ancient" weapons, if they all did this would be a much different story.
The majority of Akumans use weapons made from beasts and monsters or have "found" proper weapons off the brave travellers who venture into Akuma.

Lalo almost started a family with a woman whose clan rivalled his own. Sadly she was killed by Spellswords who ambushed Lalo and his love crossing into Maho as a threat. The man has no hate for Maho though, having killed the elves that crossed him.

Name: Rhett

Alias: Beast of Zaruah

Kingdom: Jareedi

Age: 25 years old

Gender: Male

Personality: Rhett possesses an unruly nature. He walks to the beat of his own drum more often than not, and can prove to be quite uncivilized. However, despite his wildness, he is not a hyperactive individual. In truth, he prefers to meditate or relax when on his own, as if reserving energy. It is as if he is acting like a solitary predator, conserving their strength until the next hunt.

Basic Appearance: Rhett is a healthy, young looking man. It is often mistaken that Rhet is still in his teens. He is shorter in stature, standing at approximately five feet and one inch tall. He is moderately toned when it comes to his physique. He doesn't appear very strong, but his looks can be somewhat deceptive. Rhett has shoulder length brown hair usually kept slicked back. One of the most notable features of Rhett is the scarring on his body. A large burn mark can be seen running from his chest up just past his neck and touching his jaw, clearly an attack from a fire elementalist. His face and body is adorned with many small scars.

Elemental Transformation: When Rhett is using his earth abilities, he does not use them in a conventional manner. He uses his magic to alter his appearance and form in order to enhance his physical abilities. The first of these changes is his legs. Rock, stone and sand coil up his legs and transform into something more streamlined for quick movements, developing a more animal-like appearance. Then you have Rhett's arms. Rock and stone binds itself around his arms as well, creating new, clawed appendages that hang down near the ground despite the increased height acquired from the enhancements on his legs. Generally, Rhett takes on a partially beast-like form that values increased mobility and strength.

Mana: Earth

Strengths:
  • Determined: It is difficult to make Rhett give in, no matter the circumstances. A tough fight? He won't back down. Disaster is about to strike? You'll find him front and center preparing for the madness to come.
  • Feral Strength: In both body and mind Rhett is incredibly strong. He does not bend to pain nor the influence of others. He is much like an animal in regards to his instincts. His mobility is one of his greatest attributes, moving faster than most, especially in his altered state.
  • Fearless: When someone looks at a truly daunting foe, Rhett may prove to be more at ease than they. Having grown in the Forest of Zaruah, Rhett has likely seen worse foes, or close to it. When one grows to familiarize themselves with the forests beasts, sometimes a monster is found among the behemoths that call it home.
Flaws:
  • Wild: Rhett never seems to be able to shed his wild spirit, no matter how much his superiors try to whip it out of him. He despises any form of hierarchy or superiority, he usually has poor manners, being overclothed is usually quite uncomfortable to him. Needless to say, the social norms of others simply don't apply to him as he grew up in the wild.
  • Challenging: Rhett, though he usually values calm periods of time to himself and to reflect, can become considerably less calm when someone tries to do something or force him to do something that he does not agree with. This has often led to fights during his time among soldiers in Jareedi after he was discovered in the forests.
  • Irritable: It is wise not to poke a sleeping bear. That is just common sense. Well in a similar sense, it is not wise to poke at Rhett. The young man does not enjoy physical contact of almost any kind in the end. To invade his personal space in a slight to him. An offence that he takes seriously. Like a beast, he establishes the area around him as his own and usually only those he approves of can wander into his bubble without offending.
Gear:
  • Obsidian Crown
    • The Obsidian crown is the twisted remnants of an old heirloom once kept by Rhett's grandmother, Aika, whose mastery of the elemental he drew inspiration from in order to develop his own fighting style. When Aika was young, the artifact was once known as the Black Fang Tiara. However, after many long years have passed, damage sullied the tiara's former beauty, turning the trinket into nothing but shards. Rhett, after he had found the shards repurposed them into a trinket of his own. The shards of the tiara were reshaped into pieces of a segmented pair of antlers that float above Rhett's head. He, henceforth, called these shards the Obsidian Crown.
Captain's Journal: Excerpt on Recruit Rhett

The Dragon Queen had ordered Master Aika retrieved from the Forest of Zaruah and all that the soldiers managed to bring back was some kid. Apparently the kids name is Rhett and he's the old masters grandson. Makes sense. It's been years since Master Aika was last in the seen before she wandered into the forest for the sake of training. Who could have known that it'd be the last time she'd be seen?

Whatever the case, the kid has some of his grandmothers old skill. If anything he's improved upon it. Master Aika was known for using her earth abilities to assume the form of a massive beast. The use of her talents were mostly for dealing with other beasts from the forest she called home or to use during sieges. It was strong and bulky. The kid took the transformation aspect of his grandmothers talents and applied it only to his limbs, giving himself a boost to his speed and strength. It's hard to imagine a kid actually managing such a thing. It requires precise control of his abilities or he'd just shatter his arms and legs while they are encased in stone.

If I just had a prodigy to teach, I'd be a happy captain. However, this kid was wheeled in with a whole lot of dysfunctionalities. He's practically an animal. He can speak, sure, but that's really all that sets him apart from a beast. We can hardly keep him fully clothed, he bit another young recruit and he barely follows orders. I suppose it doesn't help that he was dragged out of his home in order to fulfil the queens order. All that matters now is that we get him ready before he is presented to the queen.

I have my work cut out for me.

Captain's Journal: Audience with the Queen

I did what I could before the queen had Rhett brought before her. The young man did well enough, but the little bastard refused to bow when he was presented to her majesty. I had to send him to the ground myself and beg forgiveness on his behalf. He just growled at me when all was said and done. I'm glad that he behaved himself the rest of the audience, even though his responses to the queens questions were less than patient.

I've got plenty more work to do, it seems. Especially considering the queen just place him under my watch for an extended period of time.

I'm so tired.

Captain's Journal: Test of Skill

We put Rhett to the test today. To start we kept things nice and simple. He assumed his elemental transformation. It was an interesting sight to be sure. Not many earth wielders are crazy enough to encase their body parts in stone the way he did. His movements were almost seamless as well, as if the transformation came as naturally to him as standing on his own two feet might be.

Movement was greatly heightened. He could keep pace with a horse well enough. What we wanted to measure the most was his strength when his arms were encased in stone. He managed to shatter wood with a single grasp of a clawed, stone hand. A well struck attack manage to breech even another earth wielders creations. Perhaps his only shortcoming is when an earth elementalist targets his own creations and they have a greater control than he does over their power.

Though the kid has some skill and control, he certainly has more to go when it comes to raw power.

Still some work to do on my end.

Captain's Journal: Finally Free

After these past few years I may just finally be free of Rhett. He's grown exponentially during his time in our ranks. With not much left to teach him myself, I'll finally no longer be in charge of keeping him in check. That'll be the duty of his new superiors. I hope they appreciate how much work I put into training the little shit. He's still pretty wild, but he's better than he was before. Just have to make sure he doesn't take a bite out of someone. Yes, that's still a problem here and there.

I hear that the queen is looking for representatives of Jareedi. Maybe she'll choose Rhett and we won't have to deal with him at all anymore. At the very least, he would serve to prove Jareedi's strength. I just hope he won't go making enemies of other representatives.

Although we both give each other hell at times, I still hope for the best for Rhett. He's a good lad, if you give him time.
