Jak is the definition of a free spirit. Carefree, whimsical, and a rebel without a cause, Jak is in any situation for the fun of it, and cares very little about potential consequences. He is oddly knowledgeable for someone so rugged, and his constant air of confidence is reinforced by his intellect. Despite such a happy-go-lucky attitude, he is more than happy to aid others medically at the drop of a hat, since he finds "repairing" other people to be the height of entertainment, the greater the injury the better. He gets along well with people who understand or at least tolerate his jovial nature, but he cannot stand upper-class people or spoilt brats who consider themselves superior to others due to their social standing.
Originally, Jak was one of the bright-star pupils attending a prestigious medical academy, where students with only the highest potential were even considered for a place, let alone the cost of actually enrolling. His family could never hope to afford the tuition, but Jak was clearly too brilliant to give up, so the Corps made a small deal, this being that after his graduation, he would work, no questions asked, on any project the Corps gave him. A young, naive Jak was all too quick to take the deal, and graduated with flying colours. Within days, the Corps had given Jak the most morally despicable operations, effectively having him work a chop shop for human body parts and stolen augmentations. Eventually, Jak had enough, and went underground, refusing to work for their disgusting machinations. His life has been a hard struggle ever since, but at least he can sleep at night now, and he isnt dead. Yet.
Jak has two augmented limbs, these being his left arm and his right leg. His usual attire seems to almost permanently be filthy rags, generally consisting of patchy sleeveless vests that show his augmentations, and a hood to cover his head, along with a pair of casual track pants with as much pocket room as physically possible. He wears the rusty remains of someone's cranial augmentation on his head, but despite looking fancy it effectively functions as a pair of sunglasses, but more importantly covers his head and eyes. The only thing of value on him other than his augmentations is a security belt that contains medical supplies, which he dislikes others commenting on.
