Dear writer,
This meandering interest check may come across as antithetical to interest checks, so be forewarned. This may also be too many words that say too little. Or vice versa.
I will not be providing a stock set of roles in this interest check—I find them rather limiting. Now, to be my own devil's advocate, that leaves the vastness of ontological thought and fantasies to possibly render us into inaction, or put more simply: paralysis by analysis. But how can we know what we want before getting to know one another? An ideal relationship is a symbiosis between two different individuals with the hopes of furthering our life's endeavor—in this case: creative writing.
Here are some limitations and information I can immediately provide:
(1) I prefer MxF pairings; I prefer writing as M.
(2) I only write with partners who are 18+; I prefer writing something with mature themes or at least alludes to it. I am 33.
(3) I write in the third-person.
(4) I prefer some form of escapism, so I tend to write fantasy or sci-fi, however I'm not opposed to modern-day RPs with some sort of fantastical twist or plot-mechanic.
(5) I hope the above hasn't ruled out certain genres from being proposed and discussed; all genres interest me, so long as the narrative and story are captivating enough.
So if anything, this interest check is a humble request for a DM to start a discussion and/or simply get to know one another.
=P.S.=
My interest checks have been called arrogant and confusing. Maybe those are two characteristics that define others' perceptions of me and my writing—I hope not, but I can't nor would I want to control how I'm received by others; I can only try to be true to who I am. The sea is large, so cast me back if any of this seems unpalatable.

Now for the rant-y, pseudo-philosophical portion:
Feedback I've gotten in the past:
To address why I called this interest-check antithetical, and why others have called it arrogant: I am essentially pre-emptively putting the ball back into your court despite the norm being that an interest-check provides roles (or for lack of a better term: a menu) for the reader to select from. I prefer a more bespoke method of finding something that interests us both. Perhaps you've got ideas, but didn't feel like writing an interest check, or perhaps we can come up with something together. Either way, I'm interested to at least talk about it.
To be honest, I do have some loose roles in mind, but I'm not limited to my own niche tastes and predilections.
My lack of a bio:
What do you want to know? All questions that I can think of are not out of bounds, and if I didn't want to answer it, I would let you know yet not be offended it was asked.
Many include their literary level/ skill, however I believe that's only relevant when there's a point of reference, i.e., compared to your own perceived skill in writing. And even then, "skill" is such a vast concept, where everyone is skilled in a myriad of ways and valued differently. Maybe I'm only "good" (or not so good) at writing interest checks, and I fall short when it comes to writing creatively; but that's for each individual to discern based on their own needs and skills.
My Creative Process:
My muse is very fickle, and I'm not sure if something truly creative is something you can simply grind. Maybe it is, and maybe I am in denial, but that's where I am. I've listened to several accomplished writers speak of how they churn out a certain number of words or pages per day. For example, Stephen King said he sets a 6-page/ day goal. And thus he's able to potentially dish out ~180 pages of manuscript per month. I don't have that ability—perhaps it's something I can work towards, but at the moment I've never attempted this. November (NaNoWriMo) is coming though; maybe this will be the year.
When I do manage to write, I listen to instrumentals of any sort, but leaning towards epic orchestral and synth-wave.
What happens when things don't work out:
Feel free to ghost me, or we can talk about what didn't work. If it's beneficial for the both of us, we can try again. I'm looking for reasons to write, and I find having a partner hold me accountable (albeit gently) helps me write more consistently.

Possible points of Inspiration, but not limiting the RP to a specific fandom—mimicry is the highest form of flattery:
Games:
(1) Baldur's Gate 3 (~200h);
(2) Cyberpunk 2077 (~220h);
(3) Dragon Age (Trilogy; ~500h);
(4) Mass Effect (Trilogy; ~500h);
(5) Persona 5 (~100h);
(6) Witcher 3 (~369h).
Books:
(1) A Song of Ice and Fire (waiting on book 6);
(2) Dune (book 1 & the movie);
(3) Ender's Game; Speaker for the Dead;
Movies & Shows:
(1) LOTR trilogy;
(2) Altered Carbon;
(3) True Detective S1;
(4) Yellowstone;
(5) Interstellar; Inception; Tenet.
Much of the media and literature I do/have consume isn't included above, but with respect to narrative and writing may not be as relevant as those mentioned above. I also may have failed to recall it.
