There are several Special Infected in "Left 4 Dead"
Smoker, Hunter, Boomer, Tank, Jockey, Charger, Spitter, and the Witch.

You can be any of these, there is no limit to any amount of them either. You can be a Hunter, even if someone else is. You do not have to stick to the gender that Special Infected are, you can be a male Witch, or a female Smoker. Your Zombie will not have any of their memories from their human life, but they hold onto their characteristics and manners. If before the outbreak your Zombie was the type of person who acted spontaneously, they would continue to be spontaneous. ALSO you can include your own specially mutated zombie! A OC Special Infected! I'll show some examples that I've found online, in case you need some inspiration. Another possibility, is you can start of with your character as a human, but they will eventually have to die, or be turned.

Name: Dylan

Age When Turned: 24
Type of Special Infected: Hunter

History/Bio: Dylan was a store clerk at a gas station, he was raised in a small town, where everyone knew everything about each other. He had gotten into trouble with the police for drug possession, and was on probation when the virus started to spread. He was working the night shift when a woman came running into the station, she headed straight into the bathroom. After an hour of not coming out, Dylan checked in on her, only to open the door to find the woman horribly ashen and dead. He tried to call the police, but the lines were down. While he kept trying the phones, the woman started to move and before he knew what was happening he was being bit on the calf. He tried to fight her off by kicking her, only after stunning the woman he made his escape and ran out into the night. Dylan fell ill, his body racking violently with cold chills. He died from the virus on the side of the road alone, and bundled up in his hoodie. When reanimating he felt an urge to travel to the city, feeling in his dead bones that dinner there would last forever.

Skills: Dylan was an amazing engineer, he was able to fix most things, and create spectacular models.

He is most distinguishable from other hunters by his shorts, and the old ankle monitor attached to his left ankle (placed when he was put on probation).​

Name: Vincent

Appearance:

After he became infected, Vincent's hair became matted with blood so badly that it turned a deep dark red. His eyes went completely red (instead of pink like the picture they are red) losing their pupils. His hoodie became so dirty that it went from white to a brownish red and has multiple tears, but is still somehow intact. He is missing his left ring finger and right pinky finger, but neither affects any of his skills.

Age When Turned: 18

Type of Special Infected: Hunter

History/Bio: Vincent before the infection was a runaway left living on the street. Running away at 16, his parents didn't care enough to look for him. He had to survive by breaking in places, looting and becoming a master at navigation. He ended up having to hunt for most of his meals in the woods if he couldn't find anything that wasn't an animal (i.e. fast food, etc). He had a fear of heights before he ran away from home but he soon got over it when he realized that in order to survive he needed to be able to get away from anything, even if that meant running from roof to roof. When the infection hit, Vincent was able to survive almost a year before being turned himself. He even got a group of people together and helped them out to survive. But one by one, they were either turned or left in their own groups. He traveling to another town he was unfamiliar with, along with a girl he was trying to keep safe. Unbeknownst to him, the girl was infected and one night the virus hit her hard out of no where and she ended up turning him.

Skills: Lock picking, parkour, navigation and hunting (obviously)
