Realistic or Modern it's beginning to look a lot like christmas ❄️

make my wish come true ~! baby, all i want for christmassss… are cheesy hallmark movie inspired roleplays! i‘ve been listening to christmas songs year round since the second halloween was over and now i’m ready to get even more into the christmas spirit with some wonderful, cheesy love stories. and, if you’re anything like me, you are too! which is why i’ve decided to throw together a very sloppy partner search for all my fellow christmas lovers out there. but first, a bit about me and some of my expectations before i jump into the good stuff!

• • my name is peyton! i am twenty years old and use any pronouns.
  • my time zone is est - though i’m more active during the later hours of the day.
  • incredibly active ooc! ooc talk is a requirement. silly, i know, but i just can’t write with people i can’t even talk to. i want to be friends with my partners! discord is preferred for ooc talk but not required.
  • ic, however, i can usually squeeze out a reply a week. sometimes more, sometimes less. i have a full time job that leaves me exhausted more days than it doesn’t & sometimes i just don’t have the motivation to whip out a reply. but i will always let you know when it’s going to be longer than expected. and, of course, you can expect the same patience from me - there is never any rush to reply!
  • i am a huge fan of playing multiple characters and i love it when my partners are too. certainly not a requirement but i ask that my partners, at least, are okay with me having some! i like giving my characters friends, enemies, family, etc.
  • third person only. i’ve tried first and simply do not vibe with it.
  • m//, f//, nb/a, and platonic pairings are all preferred to m/f. most - if not all - of my characters are queer, so if we do decide to go the f/m route, keep in mind that my characters may not be cis or heterosexual & please respect that. and while i am a big fan of romance, i am also a big fan of platonic relationships and even rival relationships, etc.
  • ghost friendly! a warning is always appreciated but i get being afraid of hurting feelings. rp should be stress-free! so no worries if you want to drop. :-)

  • ooc chatter also required. it doesn’t matter how much i love our roleplay, i cannot get into a roleplay where i feel i cannot talk to my partner. i am a simple man! i like to gush about our characters! i like to send tiktoks that remind me of them! i like to make moodboards and playlists! i want a partner who likes to do the same! as well as just talk about us. i want to consider you a friend more than a partner, ya feel?

  guess who’s coming to christmas: [muse a] is a jaded rock-star with a tarnished reputation for drink-driving and bad behaviour. [muse b] is a small-town female/male who's had to move back home after her/his engagement was called off, where her/his father is the local parish priest and doesn't allow a single drop of alcohol in the house. to repair their damaged image, [muse a] decides to fulfill a child's 'dear santa' christmas wish, which [muse b's] sibling enters and wins. now, [muse a] must spend the whole of december in a small, secluded town and perform in their local christmas show, sleeping in [muse b's] spare
  
  a christmas tree miracle: [muse a], a single parent, is the kind of person who offers a homeless person their coffee and has done on several occasions. being made redundant from their job, he/she then finds themselves and their children homeless for christmas. [muse b] is an eccentric christmas tree farmer who, once upon a time, [muse a] bought a coffee for on a cold morning and offers them work (and accommodation) on his/her farm.
  
  a spouse for christmas: [muse a] makes a bet with his/her friends that he/she could get married before christmas. [muse b], recovering from a broken engagement after being left at the alter, is their target.
  
  an accidental christmas: [muse a] and [muse b] are separated, but their scheming children are determined to get them back together in time for christmas.
  
  paper angels: [muse a] leaves his/her alcoholic and abusive husband/wife and moves to another town with their children, where he/she works as a waitress/waiter to make ends meet. knowing their mother/father can't afford presents this christmas, their eldest child puts their letters to santa on the local angel tree (a scheme where other people pick a paper angel and purchase a stranger's presents for them). [muse b], a successful workaholic who lost both their wife/husband and a child in a car accident, is dreading their first christmas alone. in an attempt to keep themselves occupied, [muse b] decides to take part in the angel tree scheme, picking [muse a's] name.
  
  finding santa: [muse a], who lives and breathes christmas 365 days a year, has been in charge of their small town’s famous christmas parade since they moved back home and took over for their late parent’s christmas store. when the long-standing santa in the parade, tom, falls and hurts himself, [muse a] is on a mission to find the perfect replacement in time for the televised broadcast. the only option is tom’s kin [muse b], who hates christmas. as [muse a] and [muse b] come together in their festive hometown, [muse a] inspires [muse b] to find their christmas spirit-while [muse b] inspires [muse a] to follow their dreams.
  
  marry me at christmas: organizing a christmas wedding is a true treat for bridal boutique owner [muse a]. they love the challenge of finding the perfect dress for the bride and orchestrating an exquisite event. what [muse a] didn’t expect was to be swept off their feet by the bride’s gorgeous sibling, movie star [muse b]. [muse b] came to the quirky town to support their sister — not to fall in love. yet [muse a] is the most extraordinary person they’ve ever met. planning the perfect wedding leads to candlelit dinners and strolls through snow-covered streets. [muse a] finds the real [muse b] even more captivating than their celebrity crush.
