Everton Winter
Age twenty one
Never had time for games or fun
He only had hardship
Heartbreak
And failure
And it made his heart ache
To know he had failed them

His sisters and brothers
He held them so dear
And now he misses them
Every day of the year
And he fills the void
With those he would normally avoid
His choice of friends
Who would follow him to the end

So it’s a very Everton thing to do
To tell your friends
What they mean to you
Because before you know
They could go away
So tell your friends
That you love them today
