Fandom Is It Wrong to Try to Make a Dungeon RP?

I would like to make an rp based around the anime 'Is it Wrong to try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?', Or Danmachi for short. It would involve your characters (adventurers, dungeon officials, and bartenders, or just normal citizens, and the various gods and goddesses), in the land of Orario, and the infamous dungeon lying beneath it.


I would like it to be an RPG style of roleplay, with stats, and the use of dice and level ups. I haven't come up with how any of that would work out, so I would love any assistance that anyone would like to provide, there. Overall, it'd be pretty open ended, with only a few events bringing all of those personal stories together.


So, this is the part where I ask whod be interested. But, it seems whenever I do that, I just get a bunch of replies from people who think its a cool idea, but can't or won't actually join the rp, or worse, join, and become inactive after a week, and that sucks. So please, if you can't actually join the rp, and remain, and post consistently, even if its once a week, please don't tell me about how much you would like to. Just say you don't have the time, and might check it out later. That I can respect. Anyways, I hope this interests you, and hope you have a nice day, whether you check this out or not.

I would definitely post frequently- for example, today, I have four hours of "work" where I basically do nothing.


I dunno how to help as far as the stats/dice go because I don't have any experience in dice roleplay whatsoever...(hope that wouldn't be a problem..I AM a quick learner).


I'd love to hear more info about the roleplay.

Okay, so I have an idea for how battles would work, and I have a way we could do leveling.


Each basic ability has limits of 1 to 100, starting at I and raising to A. After a plunge into the dungeon, an adventurer can return to their god/goddess, and receive a level up, which would be a set of 6-sided dice(one for each stat). The god( the God's player) would roll, and those results would be the increase the character received to their stats. Each rank would count as a +1(0?) Bonus to the effects of the stat. Also, based on the events of the dungeon, the god could also determine the adventurer is worthy of gaining a skill (which would be monitored by the GM).


....This is alot of in progress ideas, but what do you guys think?

Well, if that sounds good, all that would be left is to decide whether or not to include sellable items, weapons and armor. Personally, I think we should maybe not have this system, and let people rp that stuff at their own discretion, so long as everyone abides by the honor code, and doesn't automatically give their character alot of cool stuff, even if their familia is dirt poor, without really rock solid reasoning.

I'm up for either option. I see why you'd rather not fool with it, but I also see your concern about outrageous spending..maybe just warn everyone you recruit not to do that, and if they still do, make them edit their post..if they keep doing it, then kindly ask them to leave..
