Invite People In Special Cases

In @Silvertongued's roleplay, Necromancer's Quest, the participants recently got the ability to invite people, and that's all the mod powers (saying "mod powers" because posting for example is a default privilege) we got. How I traditionally invite people in my roleplays is by going to Roleplay Settings > Manage Members > Invite.


But, as you can see in this screenshot, there is no Roleplay Settings. I was expecting there to be but only with the option to Manage Members, and when I clicked it it might 1) Show a list of members with no mod buttons and an invite button or 2) Just an invite button. I know it can kind of blend in, so I clicked around and nothing.


So, in this special case, how can I invite people?

It's probably something in the role permissions.  Check with Silvertongued about it.
 
Yeah, I set it up that default members can invite folks. That said, the setting for application is Open (Needs no approval).


Otherwise, I'm not sure what else to do.
 
Possibly the role needs to have Moderate Content or Manage Collab enabled to see that menu?  I don't know, I'll poke around some more.
 
You can invite people from their profiles. c: You don't have permissions to manage members, so of course you can't access that menu.
 
It's actually not on the profile proper, that I can see.  But if you hover over someone's profile picture or name, you'll get a popup window with a mini-profile.  At the bottom left of that is an Invite button.  Clicking on that gives you a new popup where you select which HP you want to invite that person to.


Looks something like this (clipped on the right because the miniprofile can show Admin things, and I don't remember which are and which aren't).

I read this out of boredom and man am I confused, just posting to come back and read later when I'm not tired from working in a lab all day
 
I'd rather not allow default members access to manage the collab. I just want them to be able to invite people to the roleplay.
 
You shouldn't have to; they're separate permissions so they ought to work separately.


If nothing else, since it's set to open (needs no approval), they can "invite" by giving people a link to it, and the invitees can request to join once they get there.

That's not ideal, but it would work if nothing else can be done.


What does "Manage Collab" do anyway?
 
Allow all of the manage forum stuff, I think.
