- I've had an incredibly strong headache yesterday and an incredibly weird dream about a ruined world occupied by demons and humans co-existing together. That wasn't worth mentioning in this diary but I have a gut feeling that this would be helpful to me in the long run. I've also been feeling a weird sensation where I feel familiar to something even though I haven't done it before, and in layman's term, deja vu. Well, enough of that.
Today was my first day of school. By entering high school, I swear not to bring up any mention of anime, light novels, questionable topics, and such that an average high-school normal doesn't normally mention. It is for the sake of the social life which I'll start to build today after the first-years opening ceremony. My middle-school days, which were filled with me being the class otaku and continuously damaging my self-image to the point that I'd just laugh it off, is now gone. It was now part of my dark history and it should not be remembered unless I want a reason to squirm around and regret everything that I did in the past.
During homeroom period, I made my first friend. Makoto Takahashi, an orange-haired boy which was slightly taller than me, and somehow already made a profile for each popular girl in the school despite being a first-year who just enrolled during the summer vacation. My first impression of him? A committed pervert. If he finds this diary, I'm sure he'd laugh what I had written here as effusive praise. Our conversation was then interrupted by a purple-haired girl, which turned out to be my classmate from middle school. Her name is Aiko Kidou, a girl whom I confessed to before we graduated, but because of my cowardly self, I ran away without waiting for her answer. She was incredibly nice to me and also to others, which made her popular. She then declared that she was my girlfriend, which I couldn't deny. Though I didn't expect to get a girlfriend this early in my high school life, it was better than waiting for a couple more years. Takahashi ran away from jealousy. I pity him, at the very least. Anyway, I received a letter folded into a paper airplane, telling me to go to the rooftop this lunch. Curious and confused, I obeyed the letter. And as soon as I opened the door to the rooftop, a tennis ball with the speed of a bullet came flying towards me and knocked me out.
I regretted it, as the sender of the letter turned to be Maika Furuka. She was one of my classmates back in middle school, and she gave me a very good reason to stay away from her. When I first saw her, she asked me cryptic questions, like "Are you awake?" or "What do you see?", and whenever I hear those sentences, my mind stirs up and I see things... Things that aren't supposed to be real. She asked me same exact questions this day, but thankfully nothing changed. I completely missed all of my afternoon classes at that time, and at the end of the day when the two of us walked to our houses together, she gave me a warning: Watch out for Mizuki Mitsumine. - class president sylvia dragged me away from the classroom, thought it was a confession, instead she said that i'll eventually find our about everything happening to me and to everything, that, if I stay until 6:30. i dragged takahashi and aiko into this, and we were attacked by a demon, who turned out to be a demon school nurse. said demon nurse told us the truth about this world. at the end, we got saved by maika and sylvia who subdued the demon and erased her memories using a syringe with a chemical inside it, and they invited us to join their club; the paranormal investigation club. we accepted, of course.
- maika told us everything we needed to know. I discovered that each of us who woke up has a special power of some sort. i found out that i have power of ufutre obsuervation that allows me to see five seconds into the future, which would explain my episodes of deja vu that saved me from death yesterday. the sun rose once again, and before homeroom starts, I found a letter in the boys' bathroom. While it seemed to be a love letter, there was a hidden message beneath the paper, telling me not to bring anyone on that supposed date. the other contents of the said letter told me to go to the convenience store at night. after school we gathered in the club. me, aiko, and takahashi were asked if we were living with our parents. the two said no, but I answered differently. i was then told to kill them tonight , since having a demon with a close relation to a human who's awake may terrorize them. while it conflicted me, I reluctantly said yes without giving it much thought. i showed the 'love letter' to others. i was advised to not go there, but if I would, everyone should come with me.
after that, we went to the hot springs. after some thinking that made me suspect maika, i convinced myself and decided to go alone towards the convenience store. but alas, it was a girl who met up with me, and she introduced herself as mizuki mitsumine. she's supposedly a half as she said to me. her power was manipulating the space she owns, like that power from a certain anime i've watched years ago. i was confined in that space, the convenience store, until my friends called me and told me to run away after telling them her name. so i tried to run, but she didn't let me go away. i was trapped in that space. that happened, until they caught up with me. using aiko's absolute zero, she caused the convenience store to explode. i ran towards them, and mizuki gave us a goodbye as she jumped and ran across the rooftops of the apartment building as if she was a ninja.
maika gave me a good beating and scolding, as i only realized the recklessness of my actions.

- Akanotohana School: The main location. It is where the Paranormal Investigation Club's headquarters or as one may call it, the club room, is found. There are two upper floors and one basement in this newly constructed school. The school accepts only high school students.
Local Hot Springs: I didn't quite see its exact name, but it's a very relaxing place. The old lady at the cashier is a peaceful demon, thank goodness for that.
