    Hiroshi Akaki is the story's main protagonist and POV. He is a perceptive person, always looking from another perspective rather than the common as to not quickly draw conclusions that may lead to misunderstandings. It was a trait that stayed within him from being the most hardcore otaku in his middle school, but he already threw away that personality of him before he entered high school, resulting in him being usually emotionless and monotone. It doesn't make him a thoughtless person though, but rather the opposite. Hiroshi unconsciously pushes people away despite his dream of having a normal social life whenever he enters high school, but at the same time, he also unconsciously pull people towards him because of his fairly interesting personality and way of thinking.
    
    Standing at 5'7", he has a thick black hair and a pair of green eyes, usually accompanied with an emotionless face that looks more like a listless and bored expression.

    Makoto Takahashi is Hiroshi's only male friend, and two consider each other as best friends. There are some times where he was envious of Hiroshi because he attracts pretty girls even though he isn't even trying to do so but at the same time, he admires his nonchalance. If Takahashi is with someone who's quiet, mostly expressionless, and trustworthy, he isn't afraid to bring out his true self. However, due to his perverted nature, there are also some times where he wants to strangle his friend, specifically at the neck, because of jealousy. He also wishes to attract females just like how Hiroshi does it.
    
    He has orange ginger hair, usually paired with his mischievous yet energetic smile that matches his personality. While he is a few inches taller than his best friend Akaki at 5'9", he considers himself inferior compared to him.

    Maika Furuka is currently the student council president at Akanotohana School.
    
    She is 5'4" and is very corteous and neat in her outfit. It would mean no makeup, no charms on her bags, no bringing of non-academic to school, as expected from a student considered as the ideal role model.
