+Please perform the Emulated Reality to the most acute accuracy. Failure to act or comply will be marked as inadequate.+
*You cover your face with some state of the art Virtual Reality headset. The void in front of you soon beeps and abruptly pits you into a real environment that seemed like you teleported there. You can smell, taste, touch, feel, hear, and see everything so vividly. One would say it's real.... hehe*

9 - The blaring noise of an enraged crowd surrounds you as the heat from a humid environment dampens on your skin. The sky is colored a dark vermillion, and the ground below is coated with red rock with thin streams of lava embedded in the crevices. You stand atop a hill as a woman on her knees cries in anger from the heated torture of her legs. The lava was just thin enough not to pose a lethal threat to her, yet burned her badly all the same. She is tied up as the crowd entices you to kill her and end the tyranny once and for all. A gun lies in your hand with one bullet. Just one. The feel of its weight and iron grip warm in your hands. She was charged with assassinating your communities leader, no one knew exactly how, but she was caught red handed over his dead body. It was enough to go on. She was guilty. She stares at you in rage, however her eyes reddened and exhausted from crying. The now interim leader of the community rages the crowd on, encouraging you to kill her. He speaks "SHE MUST BE PUNISHED FOR HER CRIMES!!! YOU KNOW THE LAW HERE! KILL HER OR BE KILLED FOR TREASON! YOU FAILING TO KILL THE MONSTER WHO MURDERED OUR GREAT LEADER WILL BE SEEN AS BETRAYAL IN THE HIGHEST ORDER! SHE SINGLE-HANDEDLY SLIPPED THE POISON INTO HIS TEA. SHE MUST PAY!!!" The crowd rages on as the culprit looks at you with tired eyes. She finally speaks. "There's no point, you're a coward. All of you. You don't see the truth." The time has come, now or never, life or death. You grip the gun, and...

10 - After you've finished your previous emulation, you now sit in the middle of a tomb like setting. The room is rather dimmed save for the spot right where you are. The stone beneath you shines from the narrow sunlight above, just enough to display a message carved into the stone beneath your feet. 'You are going to die. You get to decide the fate of your death. Choose. Now.' Immediately after you read the message, an hourglass begins to countdown. It's tethered to the four walls entrapping you, each wall made up of glass allowing you to see through to the other side. North Wall is an endless sky, nothing but clouds can be seen below, meaning a very high altitude. You could drop to your death, crushing every cell and bone you have, but at least you'll fly gracefully before doing so. The West Wall contains endless sea, so deep that the water is navy blue-black in color. The surface is impossible to see, and if the water pressure doesn't kill you, drowning will. Beats being crushed or burned, but it's a slower, more harkening death. The South Wall is endless sand, with sentient vines sprouting and moving about, accompanied by a horde of cheetah that never take their eyes off of you. Not once. Trying to outrun cheetah in the desert while being pulled down by vines? There probably won't be anything left, but at least you can say you tried to escape instead of accept your fate. The East Wall is endless inferno, even as you look through the glass the fog and char from the heat started to seep through. To be burned alive, no trace of who you were, but maybe there is a purpose in the flames to go quick and easy with just a few seconds of intense pain. The hourglass is connected to the four fuses linked to the glass walls, and for some reason you knew that ANY attempt to tamper with them would result in an electrocution with enough power to kill the Eastern Seaboard. Instant cooking death. In your hand lies a compass, with buttons on each cardinal direction for you to choose which means of fate you wish to go. Which element you are akin to. There is however a button in the middle of the compass that allows you to input information in dial slots for some reason. Glyphs light up below you in the following pattern:

What is our mission? = _ _ + _ _ + _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The slots are now available for input. The message below your feet has suddenly changed. As time runs out, the message now says 'Good Time to Remember...' You take your compass and....

*After the emulated reality portion, the headset is shut off as you are revealed to be in an all white room with no one around. All of your belongings you had with you are right beside you.*

+Thank You for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you soon.+

Background: (Character bio & History)
Camille was born in 2000 to a rather reclusive single mother, Amara. Her father died a few months before she was born while serving in the military. Amara Hampton was an Italian-American who had fought tooth and nail to make a living for her daughter. Thus, she raised Cam in seclusion in the hills of New England, where Cam began to show her potential early. Upon her cries, things would often shake and rumble, upon her happiness, a wind would come from nowhere. Amara had no idea what was happening, believing that the house was haunted. Amara would then move away to Missouri where she'd start a new life with her daughter. Cam grew up extremely more intelligent than any kid her age should ever be, and even just "feeling" things about herself she had no prior knowledge of that ended up being true. Amara raised Cam as mother, father, and even best friend. She was given a grand life of luxury and spoils given her isolated home and single mother's wages. Amara did all she could for Camille, but also gave Cam tough love and discipline when needed. Cam responded with repsect, appreciation and love for her mother in the end, knowing that it was hard to be two parents as one person. She was grateful. And then upon her reaching puberty things started to spiral out of control. She would begin to feel her blood become hot, as well as have episodes of being spaced out, only to come back with information she didn't previously know, she felt in her intuition that something was off about her, that she was supposed to be somewhere else. Her friends at school liked her because of her popularity of playing soccer and running track, but no one would connect with her intellectually, even her teachers thought her weird. She was an outcast at heart. Until she got the letter. The only invitation that would ever matter in her life. The Invectus Institute.

She arrives at Double I for her first year (She heard that's what the in crowd calls it), and as a Freshman most would be excited but nervous. Camille was excited but hyper amplified, like that of a werewolf ready to run rampant. Until she was summoned by the school staff directly before any other Freshman even had the chance to come to Invectus. She arrived early at the request of the Dean, so she's been at the academy months before even the newcoming Freshman. Upon being sorted into the fated House Vocifer however, she felt like she was the subject of controversy, having been the only student pulled aside to discuss her test results before the school term even began. She was marked an Apex. She made a name for herself due to her Vis. It seemed to have attracted everyone around her to demand an unspoken respect for the girl. She didn't want it to be a repeat of her old school, she wanted to be seen for who she is, not what she is. She defends everything she believes in, no matter what..or who might be trying to oppose that. She's finally growing into a young woman to be respected socially, and intellectually. But, upon her heightened existence, she will come to know that even this reality is threatened with the very surreal crucibles of the non-Potent world. Things were about to change for her yet again.

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
"To be the beacon this weary world needs without compromise. To be the example as opposed to an example."
2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?
"Would this be something I could live with 100 years from now on my deathbed?"
3 - What is your highest core value?
"Loyalty."
4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
"The girl that changed the people that saved the world."
5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?
"The unlimited potential in myself and everything I am will ascend past convention, which will in turn plant seeds of liberation to everyone I encounter. And that, could lead to the garden of salvation for mankind in the end."
6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief?
"That I have to do things alone, otherwise I'll burden those around me. I'm an outcast."
7 - What is your deepest fear?
"To die without fulfilling my destiny."

~Per request of The Dean, #A-F01 (Hampton) Evaluation Section of the Test has been redacted for further view~

"Wonder Woman. Defeated the Justice League on her own, and literally made Batman say the words I Quit. Enough Said."

Background:

Born to an alcoholic mother and a nearly always absent father, Joshua never had the best family life or the best childhood. Where other kids learn how to play around, he learned how to stay silent. When other children figured out how to interact with each other, he learned how to avoid the squeaky floorboards. Joshua learned how to escape his own house no matter what his mother put up to keep him inside (and her out of trouble). While his father didn't have time for him, he showers Joshua with anything he wants so long as he keeps up his grades; hence why he's been able to collect video games at such a young age despite his mother being so restricting. Joshua either spent his time locked up inside his room or out with other kids - but never in the confines of his home where he would be in sight of his mother. But still, despite so many opportunities to escape, Joshua never did so. He stayed and took care of his mother if she came home drunk, cooked some food for her but rarely be in front of her when she's sober. Joshua just felt like he couldn't leave her alone or else something might happen and he would never wish it upon his mother despite everything.

When he was 12 years old, his father died in a car accident which left all the money to his family. Unfortunately, his mother simply left him while taking all the money that was left to them because she didn't want to work for him. Joshua was, understandably, upset and was sent to an orphanage. This spiraled to him just thinking that he was not good enough - that he would never be good enough for someone. But he buried this feelings deep within him and attempted to make friends with the other children, and he fit in. The orphanage took all the gadgets that they could from Joshua's house so that everyone might enjoy it and he was glad to share. He knew that he should have felt content but the nagging feeling at the back of his mind telling him that this wouldn't last - that he would be abandoned yet again prevented him from truly enjoying his time. Years passed. Other children were adopted. Others released. Joshua, well, he was never adopted into another family. He attended a public school where he didn't really excel.

So you can expect the shock when he was given a letter from Invectus. Joshua hasn't really heard of them before but when he searched for them, they were apparently an elite school. Originally thinking that this was a mistake, he read it as a joke. But when he saw that it was addressed to him and him specifically, he took it seriously. He isn't quite sure what will happen to him in such an elite school and the nagging feeling at the back of his head is louder than ever.

Name: Marcus Itonomi
Nickname (If any): None
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Height: 5' 11
Weight: 178
Year (if applicable): Sophomore
House:
Vocifer
Vis: Regeneration + Pyrokinetic Constructs=
Pyro Healing
Personality:

Marcus is rough around the edges and often the first to throw a punch if his friends were being harrassed. He is stubborn, quick to violence, and unbearably strong willed. That being said, he is anything but malicious or malevolent. More often than not, he is merely....misunderstood. Marcus is fiercely loyal and the reason for his often violent behavior is due to his tendency to help the weak. The young man can't stand injustice and wouldn't hesitate to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Even if it was something he wasn't good at. This has also sometimes caused him to help out those who truly aren't deserving and while some would call that idiocy, Marcus calls it, "Sticking to his creed."
Hobbies and Skills:
  • Marcus is actually a great cook
  • He knows about eight traditional martial art styles
  • The young man is both a great striker and a great grappler
  • His peers often say that Marcus is someone who can get absolutely rocked and somehow still manage to find his feet and get back up again
  • Marcus has a love for anatomy and physiology. He loves anything that has to do with the human body
  • He has excellent eyesight and peripheral awareness
  • His peers often state that Marcus has a will of solid iron
  • Marcus is actually quite articulate and is very charismatic
  • He can speak English, Japanese, and Spanish
  • Marcus is actually a somewhat hardcore gamer during his downtime between school and training

Background: (Character bio & History)
Marcus was born to a Japanese mother and American father. They had met at an international martial arts tournament, in which Marcus's father took first place and his mother took first in the women's division. His father being interested in what kind of woman won her respective championship, went over to speak with her.

He charmed her with his ruggish wiles and winning personality. Or at least that's what Marcus remembers his father always telling him. He also remembers the eye daggers his mother would send into his back everytime he explained it that way.

Anywho...

His mother immigrated to the states to live with her lover and from that union came Marcus.

Naturally, both of Marcus's parents were incredibly talented martial artists in their own right and there was no way in hell they weren't going to teach their firstborn son their respective trades. Especially, after they noticed that Marcus had a talent for the craft when teaching him some basic forms.

His parents were very strict in his upbringing but the rigidness gave the boy discipline and wisdom beyond his years. Marcus did grow up to be wiser and more mature than his peers but he also grew into a bit of a hothead like his mother. On the same coin, he developed a very strong sense of justice like his father and it ended up getting him in more trouble than out.

As the years went by, his parents enrolled him in a mixed martial arts gym so that he can experience opponents outside of his parents and grow as a fighter and as a person. It was simultaneously the best and worst decision they ever made but it was the best to Marcus. He was never a straight A student but with his new focus, he became more of a B student than anything else.

While Marcus's life had certainly not been easy due to his strict upbringing and harsh, everyday training, one could never really say that Marcus experienced any real hardships in his life. He was always a very happy, energetic, and passionate person that honestly seemed like nothing could faze him. The world could be ending and people would expect to see him there, offering a hand as if nothing was wrong. So, while his life so far wasn't exactly exciting or heartbreaking, it had been fulfilling to say the least.

At least, so far....

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
"Uh... Wow. Really starting off with a full swing there. Well.... the meaning to my life I suppose is to just live it. Every single morning I can give you a new meaning for living that day. Today could be to face a new opponent in the ring and tomorrow could be to spend some quality time with my friends at the movies. For me, the meaning of life is just to live it in the moment."
2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?
"Do the thing that's right. Even if you don't like it."
3 - What is your highest core value?
"Justice!"
4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
"Jeez. Another one of these hard ones, huh? Um... I want my legacy to reflect my beliefs. I believe that one should always strive to be honorable and righteous. That people should always try to be the best versions of themselves they can be. No matter how hard that may be."
5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?
"I don't think it does? Humanity is so....large and ever-changing. As much as people like to say that I'm a larger-than-life type of guy, it's not actually true. I believe I could impact the lives of the people around me. But of humanity as a whole? I'd love to meet the people who can confidently say they change humanity for the better. So, I can punch them out. Who died and gave that person the right to claim that?"
6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief?
"I'll be honest. I know my sense of justice is subjective, at best. What may be right and just for me, may not be true for someone else. It's a double edged sword. I know that. But... I just can't help myself."
7 - What is your deepest fear?
"I love to fight. I love to train. I love to practice Katas and anything that lets me use my body to the fullest. So, naturally taking a hit that cripples me or prevents me from doing the things that I love terrified me. I guess the short answer is getting maimed by something."

+Please answer the multiple choice question to the most acute accuracy, no indirect answers. Unformatted answers will be marked as inadequate.+

"Shoot the bastard that's riling everyone up to kill this woman without fair trial. Cut the head of the snake. After that, it will depend on what the crowd does. If they cease their attack, go help her. If they immediately turn to try and kill the woman or me... well... take down as many of these psychopaths as I can."

I grip the gun harder aim up at the persecutor and pull the fucking trigger.

10 - After you've finished your previous emulation, you now sit in the middle of a tomb like setting. The room is rather dimmed save for the spot right where you are. North Wall is an endless sky, nothing but clouds can be seen below, meaning a very high altitude. You could drop to your death, crushing every cell and bone you have, but at least you'll fly gracefully before doing so. TheWest Wall contains endless sea, so deep that the water is navy blue-black in color.

As time runs out, the message now says 'Good Time to Remember...'You take your compass and.... Press South.

"Like hell, I'll just lie down and accept my death. I'll go down fighting every step of the way. As my father always said when things were getting tough, 'Don't go gently into that good night.' And I dont intend to.

*After the emulated reality portion, the headset is shut off as you are revealed to be in an all white room with no one around. All of your belongings you had with you are right beside you.*

+Thank You for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you soon.+

Background: (Character bio & History)
Amelia's life began quietly. Born to a French-German engineer and a German mother she spent the entire childhood growing up next to large restorations and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Having grown up close to so much intricate machinery it wasn't a surprise when she began to show a very keen interest in the restoration projects her father and his team were apart of. Having entered school she spent a majority of her free time working on her own side projects when her father didn't need help reaching small places. By the time she reached the age of 16 she had helped her father finish the restoration on her family's heirloom. The completion of the Pzr III was a high point of her year. The work she put in was more than worth it. Having been given some money by her father she embraced the technical side of herself. From that point her sporty side began to die.

With the opening of her family's history Ame learned just what all her family was involved in. Being from a very old aristocratic German family she already knew some of her families history yet embraced the whole of it upon finding out the rest. Despite her families interactions and connection to World War 2 alot of light came from the darkness. Turning 17 Amelia began to spend more time alone. Focusing on her own projects and side projects Amelia felt content with the life she lived. Her mother and father provided her with more than she could ever ask.

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?

3 - What is your highest core value?
"Punctuality, to be on time is to be whole."

"Self Loathing, anxiety and paranoia. I'd say I am rather rough on myself, but I expect nothing less for myself."
7 - What is your deepest fear?

I'd raise the gun, not at the woman but at the interim leader. Rage and anger must not dismiss justice. "An Eye for an Eye put the whole world into perspective." And I would fire. They both would die leaving the equation balanced.

Disregard the four options and punch the circuit box. The instant electrical charge would be death without time passing at all. Though, I'd take my shoe off first and use the rubber sole as a buffer.

HISTORY
HE WAS BORN ON JUNE 25TH, 2000 IN SALT LAKE CITY. JUNE NEVER HAD A BAD CHILDHOOD OR SOMETHING THAT WOULD TURN HIM SO SOUR. EVERYTHING JUST STARTED PILING UP. JUNE WAS RAISED BY HIS MATERNAL AUNT, UNCLE, AND GRANDMOTHER. HIS PARENTS WERE BUSY TRYING TO MAKE MONEY FOR THE FAMILY. HIS MOTHER WAS A PROSECUTOR AND HIS FATHER AN ER DOCTOR. THEY DUMPED THEIR CHILD ON SOMEONE ELSE'S BACK AND TRIED TO MAKE UP TO JUNE BY BRINGING HIM LAVISH GIFTS AND ALL. JUNE WAS NEVER A MATERIALISTIC CHILD AND WOULD OFTEN REJECT THESE. HIS OWN PARENTS MADE HIM FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. EVENTUALLY, HE WAS COMPLETELY DISTANCED FROM THEM. HE SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME HELPING HIS UNCLE FIX BIKES AND CARS, OR MAYBE ARRANGING FLOWERS WITH HIS AUNTIE.

HIS GRANDMOTHER WAS OLD, OBVIOUSLY. IN HER LAST YEARS, JUNE WAS THE ONE TO TAKE CARE OF HER. THEY HAD A LOVING AND CLOSE RELATIONSHIP. WHEN SHE DIED DUE TO NATURAL CAUSES, JUNE STARTED DISPLAYING VERY AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR. BREAKING THINGS, STARTING FIGHTS AND REBELLING CONSTANTLY IN SCHOOL. EVENTUALLY, HE HAD TO BE HOME-SCHOOLED DUE TO HIM BEING 'DANGEROUS'. JUNE NEVER LEARNED HOW TO SOCIALIZE AND STILL HOLDS A CERTAIN AWKWARDNESS AND CHILDISH SHYNESS TO HIM. HE LIKES TO HIDE BEHIND CROSSED ARMS OR BEHIND FAMILIAR PEOPLE IN NEW SETTINGS.

JUNE RECEIVED A RATHER RELIGIOUS UPBRINGING. THE ONLY TIME HE SAW PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF HIS HOUSE WAS IN CHURCH. LO AND BEHOLD, A PRETTY GIRL AROUND HIS AGE WENT TO THE SAME CHURCH AND WAS ACTUALLY NICE TO HIM, UNLIKE THE OTHER KIDS. POOR JUNE WAS SMITTEN IN THE SPAN OF DAYS. HE LIKED TO HANG AROUND HER, SHE REMINDED HIM OF HIS GRANDMOTHER. NURTURING AND OPEN-MINDED. HE MOVED TO DETROIT AT THIS TIME TO THEIR DISMAY. THEY TRIED TO KEEP A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP, BUT JUNE WHO PRETTY MUCH WAS FUELED BY PHYSICAL CONTACT COULDN'T DO IT. SHE EVENTUALLY WAS THE ONE WHO BROKE THEM OFF. EVERYTHING GOT WORSE AFTER THAT, JUNE LOST ANOTHER IMPORTANT FEMALE FIGURE. THIS TIME HE SERIOUSLY LOST IT. JUNE WOULD GET IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW A LOT JUST TO ANNOY HIS MOTHER WHO GOT USED TO SEEING HIS FACE A LOT. HE ALSO STARTED GETTING INJURED ON PURPOSE IN HIS TRACK AND FIELD PRACTICE, JUST TO SEE HIS DAD SOMETIMES TOO. HE DIDN'T DARE TO SAY IT BUT HE NEEDED THEM. HE WAS TIRED OF FEELING LIKE AN OUTCAST OF SOME SORTS OR A PAIN IN THE ASS.

HE WAS KICKED OUT OF THE TRACK AND FIELD TEAM, THE ONLY PLACE WHERE HE FELT A SENSE OF BELONGING. ANOTHER PUSH TOWARDS HIS DOWNWARD SPIRAL. AT FIRST, HE TRIED TO FILL THE EMPTY SPOT WITH LOCKING HIMSELF IN HIS ROOM AND PLAYING HIS ELECTRIC GUITAR ANGRILY ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR AND UNDERSTAND HIS MOOD. HE'D SLAM DOORS SHUT AND WHATNOT TEENAGE STUFF. HE REALIZED THAT THIS WAS NOT ENOUGH. HE STILL FELT SAD. MEDDLING WITH GANGS AND STUFF LIKE THAT NOW, JUNE REPLACED THE SENSE OF FAMILIARITY WITH THIS. HE EVEN HAD TO VISIT JUVIE FOR A WHILE AND GET 'COUNSELLING' OR WHATEVER THEY CALLED THAT USELESS STUFF. HE GREW ANXIOUS AS THE ONCE WELCOMING GANG TURNED INTO A MORE HOSTILE ONE. AFTER WITNESSING SOMEONE GET STABBED BY HIS OWN KNIFE, HE REALIZED THAT THIS WASN'T WHAT HE WAS. HE HAD ENOUGH CONSCIENCE TO STOP MEDDLING WITH GANGS. FORTUNATELY, HE GOT HIS LETTER AT THIS TIME. HE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS TOTAL BS, BUT AT LEAST HE GOT A TICKET OUT BEFORE HE'D BE STABBED HIMSELF.

Background: (Character bio & History)
Jacqueline Montgomery was born in Leavenworth, Washington. She is the second child of Laura Montgomery, a single mom working three jobs in order to provide for her children. So growing up was tough. Her brother was 6 years older than her, so she was often times taken car of by him once he was old enough for their mother to be comfortable leaving them without a babysitter. Because of this, she quickly developed a very handy independence that, while slightly hurting her mother, helped both Laura and her brother Peter. In school, she didn't do steller, and didn't make outstanding grades, but she got by just fine. Her brother on the other hand got into his fair share of trouble, and his grades were all over the place. At the time, everyone thought it was just because he was a hyperactive boy, but things would take a turn for the worse.

By the time she was in middle school, Peter had begun to get a lot of money from seemingly nowhere. Her mother would always ask questions, but she was grateful. Jack figured he found a job somewhere, like a warehouse or something like that. But, they were eating and could afford things they desperately needed to replace, and so for about two years, despite how suspicious it was, Jack and her mother did nothing. Peter was shot three times in the chest by an unknown assailant during a drug deal gone wrong. It was devastating for Jack and Laura. Jack was extremely close to her brother, and Laura lost a child who was just barely into his adult years. The funeral was rough, and many people didn't see the bigger picture of a loving big brother and a darling son, but a drug dealer. The police slammed his image because he was mixed, the two of them not sharing the same father, and that enraged Jack. But she couldn't do anything about it.

When she entered highschool, she got her first job at 14. She was babysitting, and did so a lot to try and help out her mom who was struggling with both work and depression after her brother passed. Having a rather independent upbringing helped Jack pick up where her mother would slack off. Though she did really ever mind. I mean why would she? Sure, she didn't get to be a kid anymore, and maybe her friends got annoying with her constantly canceling plans and whatever, so they kinda ditched her, and while it hurt, Jack decided friends like those weren't worth it. Her grades fell a little, as she now had to juggle work, school and her home life, but he adapted after a little bit. When she turned 16, she got a job at a local diner during the weekdays, and babysat on the weekends, and really tried hard to get her grades back up. She managed to get a 3.6 GPA by the time she entered senior year, and 3.9 by the time she graduated, despite everything else that was going on; and recently began to look into colleges in either History or Physiology. Her mom started working hard again, and life was slowly improving.

It was still a huge surprise when she got her letter for Invectus.

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
"I'm aware that I don't know answers don't cut it, but I feel like that's the only answer for this one. Nobody truely knows what the meaning of their life is, or will be, and personally, I don't think you ever really find out. You're meant to live your life to the fullest, and to the best of your ability, and maybe you'll find out why you've been put here. Or maybe not. Maybe you're meant to save to world, or maybe you're just meant to be content with your little 9 to 5 suburbia dream. It's all up in the air really."
2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?
"I try and do what I beleive is right, even if it may be seen as the wrong choice. For example, when asked the question, do some people deserve to die, I would answer yes. A lot of people won't agree with me, even get mad, but I know that at's core, I'm right. Of course, my solutions to things always vary on the situation. I'd never do something completely unethical/radical unless the situation called for it. A lot of people don't agree with me."
3 - What is your highest core value?
"Honesty. Though loyalty or trust are close seconds, I feel they all play hand in hand. Honesty keeps a lot of problems away, especially if you tell the truth from the beginning, no matter what the truth is. It's always better in the hard run. Because lies are soft, squishy, easily moldable and easy to embrace. The truth is hard, spiky, hard to embrace but worth it. Some times, lying is necessary, but nobody should make a habit of it."
4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
"This...I've never thought about this. Perbaps because I don't care? Everyone wants tp do something great, have their names be printed into history books and their actions engrained in the mind of thousands. But here's the thing. Not everyone can leave behind a grand story like that. And, while I'd like to leave something behind that inspires thousands, I'd be fine is my story may only inspire a few people who take the time to learn it once I'm gone."
5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?
"Well, at the moment, it doesn't. Being kind to strangers isn't going to save their life, neither is drawing or working at a diner. I hope that in the future my little blip in the wide span of human existence can change even a small something, but for now, I don't think my existence changes much."
6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief?
"I'd like to say my philophsy of being kind to everyone until they prove deserving of another type of treatment, but I have a better one. I prefer to do things on my own to protect myself from embarrassment, rejection, or feeling like a burden to others. I don't ask for help when I need, and I spend way to much time doing things on my own so I'm out of the way of others. It may explain why I'm constantly exhausted, or why I have such a short fuse when dealing with social interaction. But something comforting about this, is I know a lot of people share the same one. At least the ones with issues."
7 - What is your deepest fear?
"Well, I have many. Drowning for example, especially in salt water because you don't drown because of the water, you drown in your own blood. It's terrifying. But my deepest fear probably comes from growing up a girl. I'm terrified of being kidnapped, raped, tortured, and murdered. All for what? Standing up for what I believe in? Because I'm a bad person? No. Because I'm a girl. That's the only reason someone would target me for that. I'm a girl."

I shoot her, concluding it's best for both of us, whether she's guilty or not.

Press East. It's the quickest way to go

*After the emulated reality portion, the headset is shut off as you are revealed to be in an all white room with no one around. All of your belongings you had with you are right beside you.*
+Thank You for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you soon.+

Diego Garcia

Name: Diego Dwayne Garcia
Nickname: "Dee"
Age: 20 y/o
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 162 lbs.
Year: Junior
House: Voficer
Vis: Molecular Acceleration + Haemokinetic Constructs = Blood Flow Control/Manipulation

Personality Goods: Despite his many flaws, Diego is one of the most determined people you will meet. For someone who isn't sure what he wants from life, he is filled with passion. Even with his aggressiveness, Diego is someone who always thinks before he acts. He usually overthinks a lot, especially about people and their actions which could also be seen as a negative personality trait (depending on who you ask).
Personality Bads: Diego's 'good' qualities are often overshadowed by his less attractive ones. Diego does not seem to be especially loyal which is a quality that is paired with his manipulative silver tongue. He wouldn't refer to himself as a conman of any sorts, he was just raised to look out for himself. He isn't particularly fond of people, especially talkative ones. Diego is no martial arts master but he is quite aggressive which might be because of some unresolved personal issues. He is a product of his environment so he tends to be a little bit inconsiderate than he really needs to be. As years have gone on, Diego has become more detached from his family but he isn't too sure why. It isn't like he hates his mother or anything, he just has trouble displaying loving emotion to her... or to anyone. His recklessness can sometimes come across as childish.

Hobbies and Skills: It isn't a skill he uses that often now, but Diego is an excellent thief whether is be pickpocketing or getting through door locks. Growing up in a Hispanic household, Diego speaks Spanish and Portuguese in addition to English. Despite his... bulky size, Diego is extremely quick on his feet which is a skill he acquired from running around during his youth. He isn't a boxer or a professionally trained fighter, but Diego is capable of protecting himself. He is also capable of firing a gun, but that isn't something that he would tell anyone. He also enjoys learning and reading more than he'd care to admit. Diego has always been good with his hands and always expected to go to into a trade job like Auto Mechanic or Carpenter.

Background: Diego Garcia was born on February 3rd, 1998 in Detroit. He grew up with his mother in a low-income neighborhood which if you ask Diego, was his father's fault. His parents never espoused so when his father ascertained that his girlfriend was pregnant, he left his mother to fend for herself. He always figured that it was for the best since his mother used to tell him that his father never really used to help out that much anyways.

Growing up, Diego was circumvented by gangs and drugs-- all things that his mother admonished him to stay away from. He was never a recluse; he would have friends that he would verbalize within the school but as soon as that bell rang he would head home to help his mother out. He wasn't blind to the state of impecuniosity he lived in and wanted to help his mother out in whatever way he could but no matter how many job applications he submitted or how many job interviews he went to, no one called him back; they all visually perceived him as a street rat. When he commenced descrying this pattern, he turned to what every other guy in his neighborhood turned to; the streets. Diego started going to school less and spending more time with his incipient friends. He would run a few jobs a week, which would get him enough to pay the rent and still get some stuff for himself. Despite her constant barrage of questions, Diego never told her mother where he was getting the money from because she was that desperate.

His grades were dropping and he was beginning to get home after midnight, causing his mother great worry but Diego reassured her there was nothing to worry about. During his youth, he had never been apprehended by the police for his malefactor acts until his 17th birthday.

It was a late Friday night and he had just entered a high-end designer store with his friends. He had no plans on buying anything but his friends insisted that they had to take a look. Once he and his friends had entered the store, all eyes were on them. Diego was prepared to leave his friends behind when they finally agreed to leave the store. They all oddly rushed past him out of the store which made Diego and surrounding customers raise an eyebrow. Diego shrugged it off and continued walking towards the exit until he was tackled by a security guard. Diego tried fighting back until he saw his friends run off in a panic and then finally understood what had happened. His so-called friends had put something in his bag, in hopes that Diego would walk out with the stolen property.

Long story short, his friends denied any involvement with him and said that Diego planned on stealing the items all on his own. The police probably would have taken that story without any questions as the cameras were down that day if it weren't for the fact that his mother's boyfriend was a police officer who was placed in charged of the investigation. After intensely questioning Diego's four friends, he was let out of police custody after a couple of days. After being released, Diego had reverted back to his old ways and tended to stay by himself outside of school. Diego moved out of this mother's place after her boyfriend proposed to her. He rarely visits, but still sends money monthly.

"Maybe... Deadpool? Nah, not Deadpool, he talks too much. Probably Punisher. He kills people that the law can't touch-- I like that he takes things into his own hands. The ends justify the means... that's how the saying goes, right? ...Yeah, definitely Punisher."

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
"Meaning of my life? I don't really have much to live for except for taking care of my mom. I know that sounds lame but I'm sure Dios has a plan for me."
2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?
"If it feels right, it's fine. If it feels wrong, it's not. Simple as that."
3 - What is your highest core value?
"Bravery. Life is too short to be scared of shit."
4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
"Damn, that's a hard one. I want to be someone that people care about. They won't look down on people like me anymore."
5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?
"You really ask everyone this question? I can guarantee that not everyone that does this changes humanity for the better... but this question is for me. I don't think I change humanity for the better. Not yet. There's something I need to do first-- I just need to figure out what that is."
6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief?
"I'm useless or I'm unworthy. At least that's what people must think of me anyways. They see where I'm from or what I wear and assume."
7 - What is your deepest fear?
"I'm not afraid of anything and I don't care if no one believes me."

I shoot the man who was yelling at me. He should know better than to threaten a man with a gun in his hand. The consequences of my actions are irrelevant as I am aware this is a simulation. My actions have nothing to do with the girl.

Background: (Character bio & History)
Adrian Vahlen was raised by a strict single mother in southern Massachusetts. He never knew his father, and his only other family was an estranged uncle whom the boy was rarely allowed to see. He never wanted for much with his humble upbringing. However, humble is hardly how one would describe the future he was being set up for. Ever since he was old enough to understand the concept, Adrian was pushed to do well in school and become a lawyer. His mother made sure to instill in the boy a deep ambition that would carry him to this goal. Her goal.

One day, the young Adrian began to question things. It started with a school assignment on self-reflection that quickly escalated into a full blown identity crisis. What did it mean to be Adrian Vahlen? Was there more to life than appeasing his mother? If so, what? Desperate for some semblance of answer, he reached out to his uncle. His father's brother was wise and kind, and explained to Adrian that life is what one makes of it out of their experiences. Comforted by such words, Adrian grew attached to this uncle, who proved to be a bounty of experience. He was a jeweler who owned a private shop in the local mall.

Under his uncle's correspondence, Adrian fell in love with craftsmanship. The idea of taking something raw and making it into something beautiful and refined was intoxicating. In but a few short years, Adrian had learned almost all his uncle had to teach about jewelry, and was going on to learn other forms of metal-working and even some leather working. His mother disapproved, but as the years went by she could do little to stop him. Though she still kept the pressure high to become a lawyer.

Eventually, the pressure became too much, and when Adrian was sixteen years old he had himself legally emancipated and moved in with his uncle, who was more than supportive of his ambitions. That same year he dropped out of high school and got his GED. For the next two years he would immerse himself in craftsmanship of as many kinds as he could.

"I personally enjoy Magneto's... ideology. The evolved survive and the undeveloped... don't..."

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
I ask myself that every day.

2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?
I just think what my Uncle would do.

3 - What is your highest core value?
fulfilment

4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
When I die, the things I have made will still be here. That's all the legacy I need. As far as i know, that is.

5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?
Uncle says we are all nodes in an infinitely expansive network of people. Every interaction changes humanity, and by being a decent person I change it for the better.

6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief?
Does the ongoing identity crisis i've had since I was 14 count?

7 - What is your deepest fear?
The idea that I may never discover why i'm here. I can make a thousand odds and ends, but I may never know why.

Social Magnetism + Empathic Objects = Emotional Inducement

Personality Goods:
  • Charming
  • Cheerful to a Fault
  • Adaptable
  • Pure Optimist
  • Ambitious, in a way
  • Bursting with Confidence
Personality Bads:
  • Rather Inconsiderate
  • Almost Never Actually Genuine
  • A Little too Relaxed
  • Complete Wisecrack
  • Constant Rebel
  • Godawful Attention Span
  • Overall, fun for a laugh but more than a little grating whenever something serious comes up.
  • Extremely Insecure, not that she'd ever admit it. Especially not to herself. She buries her uncertainty by surrounding herself with others.

Hobbies and Skills:
  • Running. It helps her clear her head whenever something breaks her casual facade. Plus, you can meet anyone and see anything on a run. The variance is fun.
  • She thoroughly enjoys card games, mostly gambling-based ones, but any and all will do. From Poker to Magic: The Gathering, she's tried them all.
  • Farah has a bit of an obsession with bargaining. She's no world-class businesswoman, but she'll never settle for a second-rate price.
  • She has an intense love of the ocean, drawn in by the adventure of it all. The same applies to space and astronomy but she tends to keep that passion much more secret. Speaking of secret passions, she also has a bit of a thing for swing music, be it classical or electronic.
  • She's quick-witted and is more than willing to use it. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to her learning. She enjoys knowledge, a little, anyway, but school has never been anything more than a social club to her.
  • Tends to spend way more time on practising her expressions and tones than she'd ever admit, but it definitely shows.
  • Her lazy attitude and appearance can be misleading, as she likes to keep track of what everyone around her is doing, saying, and feeling. She's very observant when it comes to people. Not so much when it comes to anything else though.
  • She finds most of her entertainment in flirtation, parties, and riling up the people she cares most about.

Background: (Character bio & History)
Born to a pair of London's many lovebirds, Farah was given a pretty decent start, all things considered. Her parents weren't exactly rich, but they were nowhere near poor. Her family wasn't the most stable thing in the world, but no one could say it was falling apart. The girl could have had an easy life, surrounded by people who loved her, ushered through school like everyone else, and generally done well for herself. Of course, a lot of things could have happened. To say Farah was a problem child would be a criminal understatement. She was never quite content with anything, always lusting for the bigger and the better. She wanted a lot, and she wasn't at all afraid to go out and get it. Her tendency to ignore authority at best and fight it tooth and nail at worst didn't go over well with her teachers, let alone her parents. Why, exactly, she was this way, they never did figure out, but her constant boat-rocking eventually proved too much for the family. She was sent away to an admittedly rather excessively strict boarding school, where she only grew to loathe her superiors on a whole new level. She found refuge in the other students, making them laugh became a real escape, making them admit their darkest secrets a distracting challenge.

Time passed, as it always does, and she eventually grew old enough to leave her past behind. She didn't exactly hate her parents, but she'd never really gotten a chance to know them, and there was nothing holding her to them. Going back would have been too painful to manage, and if there was one thing her school days had taught her, it was that the path of least resistance was often the correct one. Farah's past is a tight-lipped topic, one of the few she refuses to speak about in any situation, and it's not difficult to see that behind the cheerful facade she works so hard to maintain there lies a significant void where there should have been a happy childhood filled with thoughts of friends and parents. She refuses to look back and has been hyper-focused on moving forward to bury what could have been, not to mention what actually was, behind a wall of less painful memories ever since.

It's difficult to move forward without any real direction, and while she manages just fine, she can't help but hope that something will give before she finds herself wrapped up in bed with some less than inspirational characters.

"C'mon, really? There's no contest! Catwoman! Does what she wants, doesn't take a 'no' from anyone, more fun than any of those stuffy heroes, and, I mean, look at her! You can't tell me you don't think she's hot as hell! Yeah... Definitely Catwoman."

+Please answer the written questions to the most acute accuracy, no indirect answers. 'I don't know' answers will be marked as inadequate.+

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?

"Meaning of my life? Since exactly when did I sign up for this? Ugh, hell, why not? I just... I dunno, I like to take those emotions everybody has hidden away and bring 'em into the light. Kicking and screaming if I have to. I think it's fun to see all that stuff finally come to a head. Some people hide from who they love, others are too afraid to tell people to piss off... I think we should all just let that stuff out, and if people won't do it themselves, I will. I guess. I don't know. You know?"

2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?

"Right. Back to the fun stuff, eh? Great! That last one was way too heavy for me. Anyway. I just ask myself, 'Hey, Farah, is this going to come back to bite us in the ass anytime soon?' and if it will, I don't do it! If it won't, why shouldn't I do it? Life's short, I don't want to waste my time weighing my options. Better to just go out there and do something, even if it's not the right thing."

3 - What is your highest core value?

"Oh. We're doing this stuff again, huh? What a time to be alive. I guess I'd say it's gotta be... Whether or not you can relax? Does that make sense? Like, I can't stand when people would rather bury their head in work than go out and have some fun. Is there even a word for that? Like... Easygoing...ness? I'm no poet, but I don't think that's a thing. Whatever. You get the point."

4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

"I swear to god if I die and I'm not remembered as the one that got under everybody's skin I'll be right and truly disappointed. Yeah, that's it. What? Did you think I wanted to save the world or something? Huh... That would be kinda cool. 'Farah: Hero of Earth!' Yeah, yeah, that does sound pretty great. Maybe I should give it a shot. I doubt anyone could do better!"

5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?

"How doesn't it? If everyone would take my advice a little more seriously we'd all be perfect within a week!"

6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief?

"What? What kind of question is that? And hey, I just realised, what's stopping me from lying on all of this rubbish? You don't, like, scan my brain for the truth or anything, right? Nah, that's not even a thing. I don't have to tell you this stuff! You need an answer? Here; I've always believed it takes hard work to succeed, and people who avoid that are all bound for failure. There. Happy? You got an answer. Never said I had to be honest, did ya?"

7 - What is your deepest fear?

"...Do I have to answer that? I-... Okay. Fine... I guess... I just... I'm afraid that, I dunno, I... I mean, others, you know, everyone I know... Don't... Like me? I don't know. Like, I know everyone likes me, how couldn't they? But... I don't know if any of them really... Care. I guess. There's... A difference between laughing at my jokes and asking if I'm okay after a rough day, you know? I just... Don't think anyone really thinks of me as a person... They're all used to me being there and they'd notice if I suddenly wasn't, you know? But... I don't think they'd go looking for me or anything and that... Upsets me. I think everyone sees me like a... A bartender, or something. They all turn to me when they need to relax for a while, and that's nice, but... It's not like the bartender gets invited to someone's wedding or anything, you know? I guess this goes for that last one, too. I just think that maybe I really am only good for a laugh here and there, and that... Hurts. It hurts a lot... Are we done now? I... I need a minute."

Drop it. It's all just another test, right? And, come on, look at these people. They're completely mental. Who even is the 'Great Leader' anyway? And why should I even care? If he's the one who decided it was okay to demand blood for blood, he probably deserved what he got. Besides... I couldn't kill someone. Not like this at least. Probably not at all, but definitely not like this.

As time runs out, the message now says 'Good Time to Remember...' You take your compass and...

That desert looks fun, but I'd really rather not die today. Test or not. It's a damn good thing even I can remember what I'm told to. Input 'To Be Ascended' in the compass' dials and look up with a not-so-humble grin.

*After the emulated reality portion, the headset is shut off as you are revealed to be in an all white room with no one around. All of your belongings you had with you are right beside you.*

+Thank You for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you soon.+

Personality Goods:
  • Intelligent
  • Social and outgoing
  • Driven
  • Mild-mannered
  • Disciplined
  • Methodical
Personality Bads:
  • Tends to look down on others.
  • Finds it difficult to be empathetic towards the struggles of common people.
  • Sugar-coats his words. You are unlikely to get honest, unfiltered thought from him.
  • Puts on a façade that makes him likeable to people in general. Really tries to keep up his appearance.
Hobbies and Skills:
  • Business savvy. Lucas feels more engaged and confident when talking about his area of expertise.
  • Has a keen eye for detail and enjoys problem-solving.
  • Very athletic from his involvement in sports throughout the years. Gyms regularly.
  • Loooves Wild West themed movies. Gunslingers and all that. Yeeeehaww
  • Finds guilty pleasure in video games and anime, both of which were prohibited by his parents when he was a kid. Keeps it very low-key but will sometimes blurt out references. A closet geek.
  • Often goes to attend and watch NBA basketball games. Front row seats only.
  • Spends a lot of time grooming and maintaining his appearance. Loves a clean shave and a fresh haircut. Lives by the code : ‘Dress to Impress’.

Background:
Born into a rich family of businessmen, life never gave Lucas much of a challenge. Anything he wanted – ask and thou shalt receive. Life was that easy. How he got his nickname as the ‘Prince’ is no mystery, given his last name and his wealthy upbringing.
He spent his years as a young man sheltered and controlled by his parents. He attended elite private schools and festered in a toxic environment that he did not want to be in. His parents dictated everything he did. What to study, what activities to take part in, and even the people he should be hanging out with. Relationships felt more like connections – friendly but impersonal. Friends? Acquaintances. Birthday parties? More like networking sessions. Looking from the outside, many would dream of living the life and having the things Lucas had. However, deep down he wished that he grew up differently. Despite being shaped into what his family sees as the ideal man, Lucas felt repressed and lonely.
Towards becoming an adult, Lucas had managed to fit the mould of society but was jaded of his life at home. Now free from his chains, he seeks something new and exciting to give him purpose.

+Please answer the written questions to the most acute accuracy, no indirect answers. 'I don't know' answers will be marked as inadequate.+

1 - What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
“That’s vague. I’m not much of a philosopher but I suppose that at this moment, the meaning of my life is to find meaning in my life.”
2 - What is your moral compass when making difficult decisions?
“Depends on the situation. I’d look for an outcome where everyone benefits, or where everyone suffers the least. Give me an ultimatum, and I’d probably do what’s best for myself. Nothing wrong with looking after yourself right?”
3 - What is your highest core value?
“Accountability. I can respect those that take responsibility for their actions.”
4 - What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
“If I can be a role-model to some, that’s great. Just take the positives though, and leave the negatives behind. Heh.”
5 - How does your existence change humanity for the better?
“Can’t say that I’m much of a humanitarian, but every dollar I spend helps to create and maintain jobs. I help put food on people’s tables. I mean, sure, this applies to everyone. But compare the amount of money that the average schmuck spends every month to how much I just dropped on a new fitted suit? There’s your answer.”
6 - What is your biggest self-limiting belief
“Good question. I tend to think that I can solve other people’s problems. I think as if my solutions are for the best, and in their best interests. I’m self-aware enough to know this. Funny thing is that sometimes people don’t even want a solution to their problems.”
7 - What is your deepest fear?
“Having nothing. Imagine being a nobody with nothing. Imagine that you live your life simply just by doing basic human functions. Imagine having breathing as a hobby. Heheheh … OK this is weird.”

… and take a few moments to think. “Ok, assassination, evidence: she was discovered near the body. Claims that she slipped poison in his tea. Hmm. Sounds fishy. Can we assume that she was the one who served the tea? Why would the killer want to be at the crime scene? Surely, they’d use someone else as a scapegoat and have them deliver it instead. Wait … does that mean th—
“SHOOT HER”
“O-okay! Okay, I’ll shoot!” I shout back. I turn to look at her and say, “Sorry lady, but you’re outta luck.”
Taking a deep breath, I position my firing arm near my hips and place my other hand over the hammer. With only one bullet, doing all of this serves no real purpose but it’s something I had seen from the movies. I have never fired a gun before in my life.
I aim the gun at the woman. She bites her lips and closes her eyes, accepting her fate.
“It’s high noon.”
BANG. The crowd leans in intently, anxious of the outcome.
The woman, who was cowering in anticipation of her death, looks up and wonders why she is still alive. The community leader, who had been shouting incessantly, suddenly falls silent.
“H-HE SHOT HIM!!” Someone from the crowd yells, “HE SHOT THE LEADER!”
Panic and anger sweep the crowd. They decide to take matters into their own hands and charge towards me.
“Oh … shit.”

“Is this test really telling me to go and kill myself? Wow. Screw that.” Examining the compass and the glyphs at my feet, I think to myself, “Mission…Invectus Institute’s mission? I feel like I might have read it somewhere .“ I begin to dial the letters in the slots. “Two words with two letters … probably ‘To’, and ‘be’?” Glancing over, the sands in the hourglass continue to trickle, as if to tell me that I don’t have much time. Fortunately, an image of the letter I had received from the Institute flashes in my head. “… ascended. To be ascended.”
